Kotgarh is an amazing place to go. It becomes more special when the stay is pleasant. Loved the friendly nature od deodar cottage’s owner . He made the trip very interesting by sharing all the knowledge about the place and surroundings. All the family took of the the guests like there own . He himself took an effort to roam around with us and share the details of eacb and every place we visited. Hope to visit again to such a beautiful cottage. Home made food is the cherry on the top. ❤️

A tastefully designed home offering beautiful views of the mountains, Deodar Cottage is a must visit Home Stay! Welcomed with a Warm Smile, a gentle rustling of Apple Trees, a porch where you can have endless conversations or simply immerse yourself with the blanket of twinkling stars! You can go hiking and experience the magnificent views of the mountains. Be in solitude or Be with the people you love, you will for sure Be at peace here. A cozy and a clean home with a classic choice of Furniture will ensure to make your stay here quite comfortable! They serve vegetarian local food here and have good Wi-fi connectivity too. Would highly recommend this place!

We didn’t stay at deodar cottage but had lunch there. While we were staying at a different Homestay, we thought we’d checkout deodar cottage which was close by. So when we called to ask if it was ok to drop by for a meal, atul was so accommodating. His mother was by herself but agreed readily to cook a pahadi lunch for our group within a few hours notice, though they normally don’t do this for guests who aren’t staying with them. His mother was the kindest. Welcomed us warmly, and served such a. Delicious lunch of red rice and pahadi dishes. And the herb chutney was yummy. She showed us around the property and her pets Elsa, a Tibetan mastiff and Elfa a husky were gorgeous. They have a beautiful property that you’d be sharing with them and their pets and great views.

Some experiences cannot be fully captured in words. The warm hospitality of the host, the engaging stories and conversations with fellow guests, the trance cast by simply watching snow-capped mountains in quiet solitude, all have to be experienced to truly understand it. Our stay @deodarcottage in Kotgarh was one such memorable experience. Thanks to Atulji and his family for such a wonderful stay. Special thanks to his mom for waking up early and ensuring we have something before starting our journey. We carry lifetime of memories from this stay and will surely come back for more.

A beautiful home in the backdrop of apple orchards and scenic mountains. Everything about it has a personal touch- warm family to welcome you , food made with local produce and mixed with Grandma' s affection, served in a cosy dinner room where one would want to chat with Atulji endlessly, home grown apples and bindu auntie's pickles, loving pets, tastefully done interiors and personal care to upkeep them ...scenic trails to explore all around, dense forests where you can walk even in bright sun ,or just sit on the terrace to gaze at the snow peaks in the day and twinkling lamps from villages beneath and stars above at night... One can't go here just once.. superb !

Deodar cottage is an absolute gem and a home away from home. Beautiful location, extremely warm & welcoming hosts and very tastefully done interiors. We stayed there with our 7 year old girl who says she has the most amazing time with their adorable kids and pets Elsa and Snowy. We left this home yesterday but missing them already and can’t wait to get back but this time definitely for longer. Thank you Atul ji for the amazing hospitality.! See you soon again.!
