Shimla Hotels with Wi-Fi

The brand name is entirely contributed by the ultimate in hospitality, care and affection. I travelled with my 81 year old father. Ms Srivastava & her team at the Cecil provided us a thoughtful upgrade to a premier valley suite from a room with a great view and elderly friendly amenities that really touched my heart. The warm welcome, the friendly presence and support of all staff at all hours, the fact that i could leave my father in the care of the hotel staff while I walked down the city, a very thoughtful itinerary of travel taking care of my father's needs, everything collated to make this a very memorable experience. Let me say that i will remember Shimla very well not only because of the heritage buildings and the nature walks but also because of Oberoi Cecil and the support it provided me in walking the thin line of providiing a senior citizen with a great experience. Thank you!

Situated on the foothills of the Himalayas and short walk to the centre of Shimla, this hotel was a perfect platform for our two night stay. We were met on our arrival with a welcome drink and biscuits, the view from the reception area is quite breathtaking and we enjoyed watching the monkeys frolfrolicking outside the window. Our room also afforded us a fabulous view and we particularly enjoyed the basket of fruit and biscuits that were left complimentary with our tea/coffee and water. The buffet breakfast and evening meals were of exceptional quality with a great mix of western and Indian dishes. Alcoholic drinks were a little on the expensive side but the service was always with a smile. Navigating the hotel can be difficult at first depending which floor/room you are in and the infinity pool is in need of a bit of TLC.

Snow Valley Resort, located in the picturesque mountains, offers a great mix of outdoor activities and cozy accommodations, making it a solid choice for both beginners and seasoned adventurers. The resort’s ski slopes are well-maintained and cater to various skill levels, from beginner runs to more advanced terrain. Snowboarding, skiing, and snowshoeing are popular activities here, with equipment rentals available on-site. The accommodations are comfortable, with options ranging from lodge rooms to cabin rentals, making it suitable for families, couples, or groups. The staff is generally friendly and helpful, ensuring guests have a smooth and enjoyable experience. However, during peak times, the resort can get crowded, so booking in advance is recommended.

Wanted to go to Wildflower one last time before this iconic property is perhaps shut down or transferred over to another brand due to a lease dispute with the govt. I don't know what the dispute is regarding, but it would be a crime to take this this beautiful property away from Oberoi. (Note to any new brand that takes over Wildflower-- you have very large shoes to fill). If you have never been here, go before it's too late. Service is obviously top notch. I didn't hear a 'no' the entire trip. Working here must be bloody hard without a 'no' in the vocabulary. I went in november and the weather was perfect. If you enjoy cold crisp weather, I would recommend going in the winter. If you stay in a suite, there are some with a good view and others with a mediocre view. Suites are large with a fireplace but no balcony. If you are just a couple, I would skip the suite and choose balcony room (they only have 4). The balcony room is small but sitting out in the balcony at night with a bonfire is amazing. This is a place to go to relax, take in the views and fresh air. It's a place to regret living in a polluted city and reflect on your decisions to stay away from nature. Make sure you don't miss the guided trail walk.

We had booked 3 rooms for our family at Radisson Kufri from 30th April to 3rd May 2022. The property is new, clean and has a lovely view. I particularly liked the lobby which had an 'old English inn' appeal to it. The rooms are well-decorated and are decent sized. After reading some reviews on the internet, we had booked superior rooms but realized that they have a 'wall view'. Specially the superior rooms in the wing which has the restaurant are very dark because they have a wall very close to the window. If you are interested in a good view, then either request for superior rooms with valley view at the time of booking or book a delux room. We had one superior room in the restaurant wing which we were slightly unhappy about. The hotel upgraded us to a delux room in the other wing the next day after check-in and did not charge us anything extra for it. Really appreciate this! I would like to thank Siddharth, Aditya, Rahul and others for ensuring that we had a pleasant stay. Considering that Radisson Kufri is a five-star property away from Shimla town, expect the food prices to be on the higher side. But the restaurant amazed us with yummy food during our entire stay. The breakfast buffet had an elaborate spread and everything was delicious. We also tried the dinner buffet on our last night and were again not disappointed by the quality and taste of food. Special thanks to Chef Rajesh Rana for himself checking on with us about the food quality and also the complimentary beetroot halwa which was very tasty. One of the family members was fasting on one of the days and had certain dietary restrictions which were catered to well by the chef. Some things that the hotel can improve on in the future would be to add more staffs at the restaurant during breakfast (they are already working on this). The hotel can also carry out periodic inspections of the entire facility for regular maintenance. For example - There was a bit of a leakage into the bedroom from a small gap between the bathroom glass and the wall in one of the rooms that we stayed in. Other than these minor issues, the staffs at Radisson Kufri left no stone unturned to delight us regularly with their service. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Visited Taj Theog for my birthday celebration. It was a picture-perfect stay. Let me start from the beginning. We were welcomed by Mr. Sachin, he explained everything about the property and gave us a quick tour and such a sweet and warm welcome. Also, I would like to mention Mr Ankit, from the front desk always helped us with all the information by constantly checking in just to make sure that everything was fine. Our dine-in experience! 5 stars will be underrated for this. Top class service, starting with Bhandari and team, Neeraj ( she would give us all the best recommendations in terms of food but also for a local outing), Avinash, Deepak, Sachin, Vishal, Preeti, Dina ( she was wishing my birthday whenever we met which I felt was very sweet of her ) They all made sure that I felt special during my birthday dinner. Cake cutting and whatnot. Food - extraordinary food experience. Would like to thank Shahrukh Khan, Nishant, Prateek and Aman for Himachali Thali, the delicious breakfast buffet, and great western food as well. And lastly, the all housekeeping staff and swimming staff ( sorry I couldn’t catch their name) big thank you to them as well for providing all the services with a big smile. Big big big thank you to all of you. Thank you for making my birthday special. Great hotel, great location and courteous staff and its the hotel is a heritage building. You can feel the history. Room comfort and food outlets are excellent. Breakfast is good with mix of indian and western choices. Restaurant too offers the mix at great taste. Ver helpful staff and front desk. The hotel is located right next to the famous mall road of Shimla, walking distance, ***y shopping and food outlets available ***** the road including branded shopping. The only down side is there is no vehicle access to the entrance of the hotel due local restriction, no vehicle road. One have to climb up 250m stairs, the hotel provides help to pick you luggage. Physically challenged and the elderly will find it challenging. There is option to use public electric lift 500m away and walk to the hotel. I will certainly choose this hotel in the future if I am visiting Shimla.

The moment we stepped into Shimla British Resort, we were in awe of the lovely antique furniture and beautiful woodwork that gave the place a true heritage feel. The cozy bedrooms were perfect for the chilly weather, and waking up to the cool Shimla breeze was so refreshing. Babita and the team were always around to assist, making our stay all the more pleasant. A must-visit if you love history and comfort!
