Hotels Near Inazusa Station in Shimoda

A hotel nestled in the mountains of Kawazu Town. When we arrived at the parking lot, the hotel staff greeted us. While receiving a welcome drink at check-in, we made reservations for the rental hot springs and Kawazu cherry blossom light-up transportation, and were then shown to our guest rooms. There are many stairs in the building and grounds, which may be difficult for both owners and dogs if they have weak legs. There are plenty of dog runs available, and our two dogs seemed very satisfied. Reservations cannot be made for the dock spa, so you will have to make use of it on a negotiable basis. The dogs seemed confused about their first hot spring experience, but they were able to clean themselves up in the bath after playing in the outdoor dog run. There are dog goods in the guest room as well. Our staff will drive you to the restaurant where you will see the Kawazu cherry blossoms illuminated and have dinner. The food at the restaurant was very well prepared and delicious. They lent me a pet cart for my dog. In addition, meals for your dog can be prepared and eaten together. The private open-air bath had a great sense of openness and the weather was perfect. It's a shame that there is only one washing area, but the time spent using it was 50 minutes, which was plenty. However, it was a shame that I couldn't take a bath in the indoor hot spring (Yuraku) because the temperature was too high and I couldn't adjust it. You can also have breakfast with your dogs. Yogurt for dogs was also available. There aren't many facilities that allow you to bring your dog with you, but at this hotel, being with your dog is treated as a normal thing. I think this is a hotel that will satisfy not only owners but also pets.

Very good flight and comfortable in front of Izu Express Shimoda Station. I arrived by bus, but there is also a bus terminal. However, the number of flights is not large. It is in a good place to check the time and spend the time adjusting to the bus time. The room was large and cozy. The front desk is not on the １ floor of the building, but there is a guide on the elevator. It is a little difficult to find, but you can see it if you look well. The front desk had a polite staff. The morning bread is also available near the front desk, but I was grateful. However, at night, there is no pleasure town around ... is it because of the corona? It was saved because there was a supermarket. It is recommended for people who use railways and buses.

The garden villa has several types of accommodation: rooms in the main house with or without views of the ocean and independent apartments. This used to be our favorite summer spot. We'd return at least once a year, for perhaps 4-5 years in a row. However, we hadn't been back for quite a long time. I see some other reviews on Tripadvisor calling the rooms ”old and smelly” -- this has never, ever been my experience, not once. The room seemed exactly as it was over 10 years ago, but that's fine. The colors are soft, muted ”beach” colors and we were very comfortable. On our first night we ate at the ”Melesea” restaurant, which serves French cuisine. We chose the ”Demi portion” course, which was about 9,000 yen (about $62USD with today's exchange rate). We chose it because it wasn't as high priced as some of the other course meals and the portion sizes sounded right for us. There is no question that the ”Demi portion” course was one of the best I've ever had in my life. The chef (Mr. Ohki) is obviously a professional who really understands how to bring out the delicate flavors of any dish, and he is a master at preparing sauces. Everything that was served was outstanding. No, we didn't want to pay that much money per person, but ultimately we made the right choice. We both were extremely impressed. The above two things, plus generally good weather, added up to a good experience. Here, though, are things that you should be aware of: This is essentially a family hotel. That means if you are coming here for peace and quiet, and you make the mistake of coming on a weekend or a national holiday, you can expect lots of screaming children running with abandon down the hallways and fussing in the restaurants and everywhere else. Japanese parents tend to indulge and spoil their little ones. And forget about using the pool, since that's where parents will be staked out the first thing in the morning. If you are a parent, you might find this to be the perfect hotel. If you aren't, and you do not enjoy the boundless energy and noise of children, you will be sorry you booked a room here. So, think carefully about the dates you arrive and leave. As for prices: Although you can get a ”Tokyu Hotel” member card, and although you can find online promotions, the way the hotel makes its money is through its dinners. You are going to pay a lot for them, although there is effort put into them, so, you do feel you are having an ”experience.” But they do not come cheaply. Also, if you don't book your room with breakfast, expect to pay ¥2900 for a ”buffet breakfast.” If you are Japanese, you will love this breakfast; if not, you will find an adequate selection of items for a Western breakfast. But what if you want to go ”out to eat” at night, instead of paying between 10-20,000 yen for a meal? Good luck. Unless you have your own car (and I'd say about 90% of the customers

The property has amazing ocean views high on an outcropping, but none of the rooms with an ocean view have a balcony, except the very edge of the east wing. Wonderful gardens with a path lading down to a small beach that isn't too noteworthy. The rooms have been updated since the construction and are pretty good overall. The pool was closed in June, which was pretty disappointing, especially as the beach is below par. The onsen facilities met expectation. The beds are firm, which I loved, but not everyone likes a firm mattress. The hotel operates a bus service to pick up guests from the train station twice an hour from 9-5pm. If you are doing dinner out in the town or drinks in the evening, you have to grab a taxi back as the walk is a bit of a hike. The hotel staff are very friendly and kind, the concierge knows the area and has great recommendation for activities...wonderful and friendly people. The hotel restaurant serves a nice mostly Japanese breakfast (as expected) with local delicacies, wide range of teas, coffee and juice as well as a great selection of breads and fresh fruit. The hotel restaurant for dinner is average. Our group ordered a range of items off the menu and no one was terribly impressed. The lone stand out was the French Onion soup, packed with flavor, though a bit light on the cheese. Would stay here again if the price was right, was able to get rooms at a discount on this stay as it was rainy season.

The key to the room was wobbly, and I couldn't open it unless I did it well. The moment I opened the room, I was a little worried about the smell, but there was a reset in each room and it was okay. I don't recommend it for cleanliness, but the food was delicious with a wide variety of foods. If you enter the pool in the morning, it is OK, but in the evening it will be a little dirty. The sauna temperature setting was low. I complained a lot, but the meal was really satisfying

It seems that it just opened in April 2022, and it is a beautiful building. Lobby was very large, too, and sofa and table were still there. It's like a hotel in a foreign country. I've never been there, but I thought it was like Hawaii. It was good that the time of sunrise and sunset was written on the front desk. The next day I was able to get up at that time and see the sunrise. The left side of the veranda of the room is the east. All rooms are ocean view, and you can overlook the sea of Izu. Great Pacific! ! ! The sea is quite close and you can always hear the sound of waves. If the weather is clear, you can also see the seven islands of Izu. It's interesting to guess what island that is while looking at the map. Amenity is only a toothbrush in the room. Other than that, please bring it from the front desk when you check in. I didn't really know what was there, so I got everything for the time being (lol) The pool is timed. Put in for an hour and a half. The water was quite cold, so I was grateful to receive a bath towel. I went in the evening and felt a little cold. I didn't swim there, but it's about 25 meters long. The scenery is just wonderful. Sunset, sea, sunset... I could stand by the pool all the time. I returned with the sunset, but the night pool was beautiful at night. It was lit up. You can see the pool from the room. Dinner is a buffet. You can choose from 6:00 to 7:30 or 7:30 to 9:00. It was delicious as usual, and I was satisfied with the number of items. It was full of seafood such as sashimi, grilled shrimp, grilled turban shell in Burgundy, and sushi. I don't know how many pieces of sashimi I ate (laughs) Of course, there are also meat dishes such as roast beef and rafute. Sweets were also substantial, and I could eat as much as I could, such as cakes and brulee. I felt that the T-bag type herbal tea was rare. I drank wild berries and African nectar. I prefer the latter. As for fruit, the melon was sweet and the best. It would have been nice to have breakfast as well. I enjoyed it for an hour and a half, but the guests with children returned to their rooms. I think there were meals that children could eat, such as gratin, shrimp chili, and seafood curry, but it's strange. It was surprising that we were the only ones who stayed until the closing time. Breakfast is also a buffet. Same as the day before, I'm satisfied. Of particular note are the mushroom omelet rice and orange French toast. It is said to be a specialty of Izu. I replaced it several times. I ate a lot of sweets for breakfast as well. The yam compote is impressive. I used the open-air bath twice, one at night and one in the morning. A bathing fee of 150 yen will be charged at check-out, so the more you enter, the more you will get. With an ocean view, I felt like I was soaking in the sea. Feels like an infinity pool. Finally, about transportation. It is safer not to walk from the station. There are many slopes and you will be tired. I am very grateful for the free pick-up service, but I wish it was on time. Is there only one car? We booked the transfer from the train station to the hotel in advance. However, he didn't come to the station when the time came, and when I called him, he was told that he was on his way. Hotel → station transfer told the front desk the departure time on the night of the first day. However, when it was time to leave, the car was nowhere to be found, and the driver would be there in five minutes. It was time for the train, so I was quite confused. The driver was a pro, so I'm glad I made it in time. I was blessed with friends who accompanied me, and it was a fun trip. The hotel was also good overall.
