Nice family hotel and centrally located opposite the train station with many restaurants choices. Checkin was a breeze and room was clean and spacious. Carpark was chargeable at 1200y per night at the next building and walking to carpark can be cumbersome for some during bad weather. Highly recommended place for those looking for accommodation in this part of the city or exploring the city.

Although there was no special good part, it was close to Shizuoka station and was a hotel without a reduction point.

I ate the breakfast buffet for the first time, but it was renovated and beautiful, and I think the price was good for 700 yen, but the chair is a stool on a counter table like McDonald's, so it's good for a light meal. But it's not like enjoying the buffet slowly. Also, I was happy that there was a homemade pudding made in a small bottle, but I couldn't eat all the bottom because there was no small spoon for dessert (laughs). The set may be better. Since Ichiou is a population hot spring, I felt that the satisfaction would be better if I paid 500 yen per person for 45 minutes by charter reservation system (in that case, I would like to have a morning at a nice cafe in Hitoshuku Town even if it is far away, so stay again I want to do it.

It is one of the regular inns within walking distance to Shizuoka Station. I also like the view of the city from the window of the room. This time it was a room on the west side, so I could see the cherry blossoms in full bloom in front of Denmacho Elementary School. I didn't chose the hotel but I loved it. Location was great, very convenient for the station, room was fine, front desk staff were kind and thoughtful. Enjoyed a better than average breakfast, included in the room rate. The whole experience was much more ”boutique” than ”chain” hotel. But the real glory of the place is the privileged access to the former daimyo's garden next door. Each morning at breakfast, the waitstaff encouraged me to step outside into the garden. On the third morning, I finally did it. What a lovely place! Japanese aesthetics at their best. And I had it all to myself. Would have been worth staying here just for the garden, but like I said, the hotel was good, too.
