I will start by saying that the staff was great and the hotel was basically clean. The overall issue is maintenance. A little paint, calk and TLC would go a long way here. I would start with fixing the signs light bulbs. The room smelled musty and the AC struggled. The curtain was torn and the TV was dated. The furniture was worn and threadbare. The bed was comfortable and clean. The breakfast bar was done in the cheap. No oatmeal on sad looking meat, 2 pieces of toast in the basket and the waffle mix/syrup were empty.
Very Good

Outstanding
GGuest UserThe hotel was just built, so the facilities were clean and the room was in good condition. The staff at the reception desk were so friendly and the breakfast was good because I could eat breakfast with English muffins, juice coffee bagels, bread, yogurt, fruits, etc.
My wife and I stayed here for the first time last week. We live an hour away and came to celebrate my birthday. The hotel is built next to the Black Warrior River in the newly renovated River Park area which is a short walk to many bars and restaurants. There is also ample parking. The property itself is modern and very clean.. The Front Desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was 523, just a few doors from the Rooftop Bar. Our room was immaculate, very comfortable, and offered a nice view of the river. We visited the Rooftop Bar participated in a Rose’ wine tasting with a portion of the proceeds going to the local food bank. There we tasted some really good wines and had the pleasure of meeting the Hotel General Manager, Cassie, and the Assistant General Manager, Daniellie, who went out of there way to ensure we had a fantastic stay. Later that evening, we sat on the outside deck and enjoyed the nighttime view of the city. We will definitely return, making this hotel a regular for weekend getaways. Thanks again to Cassie, Daniellie, and the entire Hotel Indigo staff for a fantastic stay!
GGuest UserThe lobby was spacious and comfortable. The employees were very impressed. The hotel restaurant is convenient and convenient. It's in a very good place.
Clean enough and fairly quiet under the week. However, unfriendly staff, not the least bit welcoming. Breakfast was limited and the coffee was coming out in the form of water....,took out the charge for the room and a security deposit was taken out for 100 additional dollars and it took four days to get back. They made you feel like some kind of criminal when checking in. Warning after warning.... no welcoming feeling.
We had an excellent stay.We arrived very late at night because of bad weather and were helped greatly by Cory the manager and his most helpful team of Rita,Lataisha and William. We could not have had a better stay.I highly recommend this hotel.
I stayed here a year ago and had a good experience. It is conveniently located for the event I was attending. The desk clerk, who was the same one from last year, upgraded me to a suite. I will be staying here in future if making a trip solo before my wife and I finally move back to Tuscaloosa within a year.
225210025Room was clean and hotel was quiet, but 2 major issues. 1. We arrived a little early. I asked about early check in and was told $20 per hour. I can understand this if housekeepers are still working or if guests were checking in or out, but there were 2 cars in parking lot - one of which was front desk person. We just went shopping for that one hour rather than pay this. 2. Though I requested a non-smoking room, was charged $50 to ensure I didn’t smoke in the room. I asked if guests in smoking rooms had to pay a deposit - blank look. Was told I would get deposit refunded in 5 days after checkout, but had to call 3 times. This gouging for every extra dollar is ridiculous and I will not stay at this chain again.
