Hotels near Bayon South Library in Siem Reap

Booked this hotel only for two nights 6-8 Jan. My past experience during my earlier travels in some cases was bad in the sense the hotel description and photographs were not factual. I reached the Angkor land Urban Botuque on 6 Jan afternoon to check in. First look at the Hotel building told me I have made the right choice. The most happening place in Siem Reap the Pub Street was about a km away. The hotel surrounding were very clean with a wide road in front and a big parking space in front. As soon as I entered the huge lobby with teak wood interiors I was greeted by the the hotel staff team. Check in took just a couple of minutes. Meanwhile the Manager of the hotel Mr. Eng Sona came and met me too which was a nice feeling. He said he is giving me a very good room on the fourth floor and if I did not mind he would shift me to a still better room the very next day which was then occupied. The room was very big and very comfortable. Had all the amenities. The next day the Manager showed me the other room on the third floor. I agreed to shift. This room too was large, the bathroom had a bath tub and in addition a separate glass bath enclosure too. It had a balcony too overlooking the swimming pool. The pool was excellent. Breakfast menu was also very good. The hotel arranged my tours too. Tuk Tuk and the motorcycle buggy called the Remork was always available just outside the hotel.. After this most wonderful experience in the first two days I extended my stay further for the remaining days too from 8- 11 Jan 24. The Manager Mr.Sona met me regularly to enquire if I was comfortable and whether I needed anything. His team of young boys and girls too were very responsive and greeted the guests everytime. I did not find any flaw or anything to complain about during my entire stay. I had the the most memorable experience in Angkor Land Urban Boutique thanks to Mr. Sona the Manager and his team.

I visited herein December 2019 and stayed for 11 nights in one of the poolside villas. I have to say, the room was amazing, the pool area was fantastic and I had the most wonderful time. After traipsing around Angkor Wat all day, it was wonderful to come back to such a peaceful and serene setting for a decent rest. I've recommended this resort to nearly all my friends since my return and I can't wait to go back there one day. Across the road from the resort there is a shop and two cafes, so you don't even have to go far for a cup of coffee or some local cuisine. I have nothing negative to say about this place. I loved it.

Apologies in advance for the long review but hopefully it will contextualise the review title! Booked to stay for three nights, hotel reached out in advance to arrange airport transfer (no charge) and my transfer was there ready and waiting when I landed with water and a cold towel. Arrived at the hotel and received a lovely welcome drink and nibbles. Staff were extremely warm and friendly, taking lots of time to explain everything about the hotel. The room was clean and of a very good standard, I’d deliberately opted for a room that wasn’t pool facing as I suspected it would be quieter facing away from the road. Reality is I don’t know for sure if there was any real difference but the room was very quiet and comfortable. Can’t say I missed the pool view. Room had very good Wi-Fi so was able to work one morning. Air con super effective. Netflix on the tv. Great rain shower with lots of pressure. I had a sun-rise tour booked so the hotel arranged a takeaway breakfast of my choice for me. Again ready at the time they said it would be (4am as per my request). The spa in the hotel (read massages and treatment) was brilliant. Can’t again rate it more highly and would definitely recommend. For us foreigners it’s incredibly affordable compared to back home. Complimentary lunch organised by the hotel was also superb. Hotel is within walking distance (5 mins) to the more touristy food streets and markets. Area felt extremely safe. Return airport transfer (again free) exactly on time as agreed. Honestly you can’t take clear communication and hotel organisation for granted. Thank you to all the team at the hotel for an amazing stay. You were all fantastic and I wish you all every success!

Very good hotel! It is worth recommending. The hotel facilities, public area environment, and service attitude cannot be said enough. The effect is the same as in the photos. Precautions: 1. Ctrip says there is a free airport pick-up, but with the opening of the new airport, this service is no longer provided. If you ask the hotel to call a taxi, it costs 35 knives. There is a bus from the airport to the city, and then you have to walk about 1 km. The price is $8 per person. If you take a taxi at the airport, you can bargain down to $25. 2. Ctrip said that it provides free 15-minute massage, but after asking, I learned that a 1-hour massage can be discounted at 20%. It seems that there is no direct free massage service. 3. The hotel swimming pool closes at 6 p.m. 4. There may be geckos in the room, but this happens in almost all hotels in Siem Reap. Remember to close the doors and windows in time. If you find a gecko, you can ask the service staff to catch it. 5. The hotel will provide free welcome drinks and refreshments, as well as free snacks every day.

Great and comfortable stay! I stay for 3 nights in the hotel, where i had really pleasant stay, because the staff service are really friendly, helpful and polite. Moreover the location is close to the city center and touristic places by walking, apart of that the facilities of the hotel such as common areas, swimming pool and bar are great! I definitely recommend the hotel for long or short stay you will have a comfortable and relax stay! Thank you very much staff service!

We had a very late check in and they were very accommodating. Knew who we were and just led us to our rooms to relax and unwind. Our rooms were modern and clean. Beds were comfy and loved having the patio next to the pool. Owner/staff were great. As cliché as it sounds, we started as strangers and left as family. This is our preferred place in Siem Reap to stay. It's along the main road however hidden. Conveniently located to Sok San Rd/Pub St and anything else that you'll need. Looking forward to our return.

My first time to experience such a world class treatment from all the staff. I was picked up from the airport and offered me a cold towel and a cold drink. When i arrived at the hotel, i was greeted with a welcoming drink and another cold towel. The buffet breakfast were so superb. Every time i sat at the table, they would again gave me a cold towel. (Seriously, this hotel has tons of cold towels 😂). Every time i went to the pool, there was a hot tea and an unlimited banana chips being served immediately. My room was insanely beautiful. I was welcome with a personalised note in my bed, great view of the balcony and very chic bath tub. The room's interior design is also to die-for. 😍 To the staff, thank you guys for being so friendly, approachable and professional. Special mentions to the Supervisor who always greets me with a welcoming smile whenever he sees me (sorry i forgot your name sir). To Ms Chet, who gave me a tour. To the guy who gave me a scarf upon checkout( sorry i also forgot your name, too. ☹️). To Mr. Myr whose very approachable. To the girl who helped me take my pictures in the pool (sorry i forgot your name too) and to my driver Mr Moe. Thank you guys for making my stay a memorable one. Just a little thing to add, I’m just not used about the cleaning protocol. I was startled and woke up many times by the hotel cleaning staff by automatically opening my door and asked me if i want to clean the room even though i did not put a signage in front of my door or informing somebody. However, those are just small matter than can be fixed. Truthfully, i don’t have anything bad to say about this hotel. I don’t mind staying here for a long time. ❤️❤️❤️

The entire team at The Sarai, especially Rose, David, and Anna, went above and beyond to ensure that I had a delightful experience. Their dedication and willingness to assist me were truly commendable. I must add that all the other staff members were equally helpful and contributed to making my stay exceptional. Apart from the exceptional service, I was particularly impressed with the hotel's amenities. The comfortable beds ensured a restful sleep, the delicious breakfast provided a great start to the day, and the fabulous pool offered a refreshing retreat. Furthermore, I was thrilled to receive a complimentary 30-minute massage, which I decided to extend due to its immense relaxation benefits. I also want to express my appreciation for the assistance I received from your staff in various other aspects. From arranging transportation to and from the airport to helping me mail out postcards, their support was invaluable. I couldn't have asked for more. In terms of location, The Sarai's proximity to the main shopping and restaurant area is incredibly convenient. The short tuk tuk ride or 10-minute walk ensured that I had easy access to all the attractions and amenities in the city. Additionally, I would like to mention the excellent tuk tuk drivers that your hotel has partnered with. These local drivers were not only knowledgeable about their beautiful city, but they also provided exceptional service and were readily available to show me around. Their passion for Siem Reap was evident, and I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the city with their guidance. My experience at The Sarai has been nothing short of extraordinary. The combination of exceptional service, top-notch amenities, and a dedicated staff has made my stay truly memorable. I am grateful for the outstanding hospitality and will not hesitate to recommend The Sarai to anyone visiting Siem Reap. Thank you once again for providing me with a remarkable experience.

The basic room type is slightly small, which is a little disappointing. Although the two swimming pools are not big, but because of the small number of people, the user experience is not bad. The service is very average, not very enthusiastic, it can also be said that there is basically no service, ordering something in the room has to be urged repeatedly. Very average stay experience. Although the price is relatively cheap in Park Hyatt, there are many small and beautiful hotels in Siem Reap, and there are many choices. There is no need to be a non-principal here. Oh, by the way, the hotel's food and beverages are very expensive, so don't try them unless necessary. There are too many delicious restaurants nearby, which are cheap and good.

This hotel and its amazing staff are out of this world. This was the most pleasant, enjoyable stay of our entire life. The hotel is lovely, really charming and clean. The room was enormous, bright and well insulated and the breakfast was nice. The staff was over the top, really there are no words, they made us feel very welcomed and at home there! The bar at the pool is also amazing. We were also given a very nice breakfast for our 4am Angkor Wat tour and the staff even offered to call a tuktuk for us to visit the ruins another day. A tip: do not miss out the restaurant!!!! It is absolutely delicious! Had we known our stay was gonna be so pleasant, we would have booked for more days! It is definitely our go-to hotel and we are looking forward to going again hopefully soon. We've been to many nice hotels in many different coutries and no one is even close to this one. While looking for hotels in Seam Reap we saw a lot of nice options and the key point that made us go for this one were the reviews about the amazing staff. Well, let me tell you that no review really truly can reflect how cozy, comfortable and happy you'll feel there. We were over the moon with this hotel and recommend it 100000%!!!!
