First impression was great. Love the locations, nice vibes, lots of eateries buzzing all day and in the evening. Hotels is in a quiet residential areas with great bus connection and 10mins walk to Aljunied mrt st.Front of house team James ,Salma and the young Indian receptionist were all very helpful, smiley , courteous and professional. I really appreciate James for letting me checking out later as i overslept and free luggage storage. Shame for the stained bed linen...hence minus one star! All in all it is a decent, clean place to stay , value for money

The hotel was good for a short stay. Recommend taking the bus to go around the touristy area. Near convenient stores to get a sim if you stay longer.

Hotel and room smelt of cigarettes, USB plug sockets didn’t work, air-con didn’t work very well (wouldn’t go below 23 degrees), bed was like sleeping on a concrete slab, WiFi was quite slow, could hear absolutely everything the corridor and other rooms (people talking, alarms, etc.) Bathroom stack of sewage, mould/yellow stuff on walls/ceiling, shower hose was broken so most water came out of the pipe instead of the head. Staff were nice though and not far from nearest metro station. However, works not stay more than 1 night here. Have previously stayed in the ibis directly next door for the same price and it’s way better.

Although the hotel is located near the red-light district, we found Hotel 81 - Gold to be a great value for a short stay. The rooms are indeed small, but they are very clean, well-maintained, and perfect for a few nights. Housekeeping cleaned the room daily, and we were impressed by how spotless everything was.
The location is just outside the main city area, but it's still convenient with plenty of local restaurants nearby. The complimentary drinking water in the room was a nice added touch.
What stood out most was the staff
- extremely helpful and genuinely friendly. For those looking for a budget-friendly option with a good night's sleep, this hotel is highly recommended.
