L'hotel si trova in un palazzo storico a 5 minuti a piedi da Ortigia e dietro al centrale corso Umberto. Punti di forza: camere ampie, letti comodi, wifi funzionante, personale gentile e un'ottima colazione con vari dolci e alcuni prodotti tipici come i ravioli alla ricotta. Punti deboli: l'edificio è d'epoca e qualche lavoretto in camera non guasterebbe. In camera la cassaforte non andava, il tappo del bidet non chiudeva (ho chiesto ed è stato riparato) e il vetro della doccia insufficiente, per cui ogni volta che mi lavavo si allagava il bagno, quando sarebbe bastato aggiungere un'altra anta a chiudere il vano doccia. Ma il difetto peggiore è il rumore: la camera al primo piano si affacciava su via Bixio, proprio di fronte a un locale frequentato da ragazzi che stazionavano anche davanti all'ingresso dell'hotel; ho soggiornato due notti, venerdì e sabato, con schiamazzi e cori da stadio che si sentivano fortissimi e con la vecchia finestre si sentiva tutto. Scrivo queste cose non come semplici critiche o per il gusto di criticare, ma come spunto per migliorare un edificio comunque monumentale e bello di suo.

La colazione è standard e il personale è all’altezza, ma le camere così come il bagno non sono adeguate e necessitano una rinfrescata. Inoltre, dato che nei dintorni è difficile posteggiare ritengo inaccettabile pagare il posteggio moto per una notte 20 euro cosa che non mi è capitata nemmeno all’estero

Prezzo decisamente troppo elevato per il servizio offerto. Stanza grande che meriterebbe una rinfrescata, bagno invece piccolino, anch'esso meritevole di qualche attenzione. Personale attento e cortese, buona la posizione con qualche difficoltà per il parcheggio, colazione standard.

This is a four star hotel. It is well located, 15 minutes walk from the station. About 5 minutes onto Ortigia. It is in a beautifully restored palazzo. High ceilings. Clean room and bathroom. Excellent breakfast in a beautiful dining room. Very good WiFi. But………… It is noisy. Very noisy. I was awoken at around 2 a.m. The sound of voices reverberates off the stone walls and floors. The footsteps of people walking in reception sound like a drum. Furniture being dragged around, sounding like fingernails dragged down a blackboard. Other random noises at irregular intervals. This went on until well after 4 a.m. Then, it all kicked off again at around 6 a.m. I would not stay here again.

Good hotel within walking distance to Ortigia. Nice breakfasts. The public parking lot (15 Euros per day) is a few blocks away. Our room was nice and large with comfortable beds. Staff were courteous, friendly, and helpful. We'd preferred to have had more lights in the room. Shower stall needed updating. There was a shortage of surface area and closet space in the room and the bathroom to unpack you stuff.
