"We wanted to cancel the booking after reading some bad reviews online but they wouldn't let us. Regardless, we managed our expectations beforehand... Facility: 3/5 very basic. We added an extra bed and they put the smallest single mattress we have ever seen on the side of the room. Cleanliness: 3/5 the floor isn't very clean. We stayed for a few nights but don't think they changed the sheets. View: 4/5 nice view. Beach: 4/5 Direct access to the beach. However, it's public so the beach isn't too clean. Convenience: 2/5 hotel is far from everything. We don't drive so we ended up spending hundreds of euro every day. If you don't have a car, don't stay there. Service: 3/5 receptionists don't speak English very well. Not sure if it's the language barrier but they don't come across as friendly. Breakfast: 2.5/5 very average food for our taste. Limited selections - bacon, scrambled eggs and pastry. P.S. no complimentary water. They charge for the bottled water in the room."

"Located on the island, it's convenient for tourism. Since it's an apartment, those driving need to check in and obtain a ZTL pass at a partner hotel before arriving on the island. Afterwards, you can check in independently upon arrival. The underground parking is about 700 meters from the apartment. Overall, the process was very comfortable and smooth. The only drawback was that the hot water temperature was not very stable and may require maintenance."

"This is the 2nd time my husband and I have stayed at I Santi Coronati and it will not be the last--we CANNOT WAIT to return! In 2023, we visited with my parents (in their 70s) and this time we brought our 17-year old daughter. We had one of the suite rooms this time so our daughter could have her own space and it was PERFECT! This B&B has the most incredible location--with on-site parking which is a huge help if you have a car which we did--and also absolutely amazing service! Both times we have stayed at I Santi Coronati we have been blown away by the customer service. Plus the rooms are spacious and clean, super comfortable beds, showers are excellent, and breakfasts are delicious! We can't recommend I Santi Coronati highly enough!"

"An exceptional hotel in a truly spectacular location overlooking Ortigia and the sea. The scenery is breathtaking, especially at sunset. We stayed in a wonderful room next to the old lighthouse, which is still in operation and adds a very special atmosphere to the property. The service was outstanding throughout our stay — attentive, professional and genuinely warm. The breakfast buffet was probably the best we have ever experienced, with breakfast served on a beautiful terrace overlooking the sea. A memorable and highly recommended place to stay in Sicily."

"My wife and I booked a lovely room, Room 110. It was a junior suite, and had a nice downstairs with a small eating area and a sofa. And the room had two air conditioners, one for the top and one for the bottom. Unfortunately, the band that performs in the restaurant was performing on the other side of the wall — and it was quite loud with the drums and saxophone and piano. We could not possibly sleep. We went to the desk and asked a receptionist for help. She was very nice and gave us a different room, room 102. This was a significant reduction from room 110 — very small seating area, no downstairs air conditioning, so it was too hot to sit there. It was nowhere near the quality of room 110. We managed to sleep, but we decided that this was not adequate for us, and so we decided to leave. We had breakfast first. A very nice person gave us coffee and pastries. She offered nothing else, and so we had nothing else for breakfast. She never offered anything! So we packed up and decided to check out. We thus had a miserable stay, but we were sure that the hotel would fix the problem, and offer us the rate for the room we ended up in (102) and not the rate for the room we booked (the much nicer and bigger 110). At the least! Our discomfort was such that we actually expected the manager(who was very nice) to offer to simply void the room and not charge us at all. That would have been the courteous thing to do. After contact with the owner, he was able to offer a voucher for the next night of 50 euros. We tried to have a conversation with the hotel, but they treated us disrespectfully and were very defensive. They refused to even acknowledge even that the rooms were different! Subsequent attempts to conversation were not returned. I very much wanted this to be a good experience. I have never written a negative review. Ever. But I'd recommend staying elsewhere. And if you do stay there, don't stay in the otherwise lovely room 110 when the band is playing!"

"Reception staff very unhelpful, bar man equally rude and unhelpful, food mediocre, room ok and younger staff all very sweet. We were there in a very large group, spending a lot of money, on late arrival we were told the restaurant was closed, it wasn’t and they could easily have got us some bread and cheese for example but they couldn’t be bothered. Our electronic key didn’t work for the duration of our stay but no one could be bothered to fix it. I twisted my ankle and could hardly walk, managed to get to the bar to ask for some ice, was told it was only for drinks and I could go and get some from the ice machine some way a way, bearing in mind I couldn’t walk! Asked for a late checkout as flight was in the evening, told no even though there was no one coming to our room that day. Generally difficult and unhelpful so although the setting is nice and the rooms ok would never go back"

"Casal Sikelio is a gem. The buildings are old , solid ,full of character and maintained to a high standard. Our rooms were spacious and well equipped, and pretty much soundproof, not that there was any noise to keep out such was the tranquil nature of the location.The grounds were immaculately maintained and well designed: lovely swimming pool, extensive lawns and well-positioned sitting-out areas. Our stay was unforgettably enhanced by Antonio, his family and staff. They were wonderfully hospitable, thoughtful, friendly and generous throughout our stay. Casal Sikelio is just a short walk to Cassibile. We enjoyed eating and drinking at the bars and restaurants of this interesting and unpretentious small town. The location of Casal Sikelio was ideal as a base for our exploration of the south-eastern area of Sicily. Hiring a car, we visited places such as Syracuse, Taormina, Noto and Marzamemi before returning to Casal Sikelio . We have no hesitation in recommending this wonderful establishment."

"So... on May 24th 25th (therefore in very low season) I booked this place for a night attracted by the name resort... what can I say about a resort it has nothing at all... first of all I called them on the phone to find out the price and they wanted about 170 euros for a night which in very low season is a lot of money... in the end I managed to find it for less online by booking on stayforlong. In any case for them a night in a room with mold (I took photos of the wall of the bed, they justified themselves by saying that the smell of mold was due to the fact that it was raining) is worth 170 euros in low season. So in August what do they want?? 300 euros a night?? ok you will tell me there are resorts for 500 euros and more per night, but the problem is that it is not a resort but a simple farmhouse, a house in the countryside with a swimming pool.. that's all.. the photos seem nice, but they are only photos.. the structure has problems with mold in the room, very uncomfortable mattresses, the toilet leaked water continuously all night and we could not sleep (I have the video of the toilet leaking)... after a sleepless night the remedy of the structure was to offer us the 2 euros of the tourist tax... Breakfast with honey from LIDL, off-brand Nutella, not the Ferrero one and little else. now, for them this is a resort... Also the smell of mold is really oppressive, you can't sleep. Luckily I only booked one night."

"I stayed in the hotel as a tour leader for a group of Lebanese travelers. The hotel is nice, but it is definitely NOT a 4 stars hotel. It is located in a in a quiet area. Rooms are clean but super super basic, no slippers, no kettles in the rooms. Single beds are 90cm wide witch make them small. The shower tray is extremely small. A slightly larger person would have difficulty entering and using the shower comfortably. Employees are friendly, helpful and polite. The swimming pool is nice. Food in the restaurant is very good for dinners but medium for breakfasts. The breakfast buffet does not offer much variety."
