Best Sithonia Spa Hotels

The Ammoa was a gorgeous resort. It’s new, sparkling clean and very comfortable. We had an ocean view room, which was very convenient to the breakfast restaurant and the beach. The beach is absolutely stunning. The water is crystal clear and warm. You will enjoy the comfortable lounge chairs, fluffy towels and wonderful food service to the beach. There was a gentle breeze and it was so peaceful. There were many families on the beach but it is not crowded and you will always find a chair and umbrella. We have been on many beach vacations and this was just the best. Pure sunshine and delightful swimming. Our second home in the USA is on the Gulf of Mexico and this is a superior experience.

During August 2024, I stayed at the hotel with my family. I must admit, before our visit, I had received mixed feedback and wasn't sure what to expect. However, after just one day, it became clear that everything at the hotel was of the highest standard. Our room overlooked the golf courses and was spacious, with a lovely terrace and a large bathroom. The room was cleaned daily, with fresh towels and linens provided. Still, the highlight of our stay, aside from the beautifully maintained green areas and playgrounds, was the beach. The water was fantastically clean, with fish swimming in the shallows and further out, and the fine pebbles were carefully checked and cleaned daily. Adding to all of this was the exceptionally friendly staff. And when it comes to food, each day offered a different menu, with music that matched the cuisine of the day. I probably had the best duck I've ever tasted there. If I had to mention any downside, it would be the slow service at the beach bar when sitting down for a meal, which could use some improvement, but that's a minor detail. I highly recommend visiting the winery and vineyards as well – everything was fantastic.

We are regular guests in Ekies restaurant and we usually come with friends and family. Taverna Project menu provides light and tasty food options and we enjoy thick shades under the sun shade canopies. However, we were deeply disappointed by appalling service by Marina. She wanted to sit our party of 10 at a table for 6. When we refused and proceeded to sit on a set of 2 smaller tables under the tree top bar, she refused to serve us and was extremely impolite. We then asked her to find us seating for 10 people but she said that we can only sit at that table for 6 people. Luckily, Osia came to rescue and seated us where we wanted. Adonis served us further and everything was truly first class. It is unimaginable to us that a 5* hotel employs someone so unprofessional like Marina. This was the second time she treated us like this. We thought the first time that Marina just had a bad day. But her behaviour yesterday convinced us otherwise. Treating guests who leave €350+ in a 1-hour visit in an arrogant and angry way can be detrimental for the hotel’s business and reputation and it’s just not cool and pleasant. We urge the management to deal with Marina appropriately and protect their business and their guests from angry tantrums of this employee.
