Astoria Hotel

What a great place. Incredibly clean hotel with lovely pool and superb bar area. Free breakfast not the most extensive but plentiful. All staff seem to have a smiles on their faces. A short walk to the busy stop (no 20) which covers the south side of this pretty Greek island.

Absolutely brilliant staff are amazing so welcoming after first day wanted to stay longer will definitely be going bk near to everything I did not want to leave bar staff are so lovely it's very chilled out no stress receptionist is so lovely too

Stayed solo via Tui for 7 nights b and b from 14th to 21st asked for a quiet room was put in a tiny room 516 round side of car park appeared clean but very basic. Took me a while to realise that the water i stepped in and was in my tiny shower cubicle was from the back of the toilet every time i flushed sewerage water flowed out of the out pipe and onton the floor trailing through the tiles into my shower and over the bathroom so i couldnt flush the toilet I complaindd as soon as realised to reception who said the maintenance guy would fix it that day. It wasnt fixed that evening still or for 2 more days they tried gluing it which stunk all night still cant use the loo. By day 4 i said i have to be moved as no one seemed concerned. I moved myself to room 506 a nice big room but again the toilet leaked not as much but enough. I complained and they finally got a plumber out that day. Unfortunately 506 was close to the pool bar and i had loud music every night until past midnight or 1am. Breakfast basic including tin peaches as fruit every day. The noise and dust from the flood defence work every day started early morning . Tui did not mention that and their rep never contacted me back regarding the sewerage leaking. Tui after care dept of 1 person Safei it seems who says he has no line manager offered £40 compensation. The staff at hotel were polite but did not treat my issue seriously enough. This majorly ruined my holiday. Almira hotel and restaurant next door is fab wish i stayed there. Wont go back to Astoria again

The hotel building itself is clean and well maintained, the beds are very comfy. The pool and gardens are well kept. However, the generator / pump in the garden that runs 24/7 is really really noisy, so much so that sitting on your balcony overlooking the garden in the evening etc is impossible, as is having the window / door open at night. Breakfast selection is also small and limited. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Would rate 4* if they just made it peaceful. There are works being done just outside, though this is government drainage works and looks to be completed imminently.

Second visit to this hotel ,loved everything about it . Rooms cleaned daily with clean towels every other day . Breakfast one of the best in Greece with bacon and eggs every third day ,sausage beans and scrambled eggs on other days with toast yogurt and the usual continental offers . Pool area and gardens clean and well maintained. In fact nothing but praise for such a lovely family .

Another fabulous 2 weeks at the Astoria. To think only a week before they had been devastated by the floods. It has to be on of the friendliest Hotels I've ever been to. It's not just the family but the staff also. Ralph, the families dog, is such a beautiful boy, always brings a smile to your face. Definitely recommend.

Stayed at the Astoria during the recent storm and witnessed the devastation caused by Storm Daniel. The whole team worked tirelessly helping stranded guests and went above and beyond expectations even though there home and business was hit extremely hard. Big thanks to everyone at the Astoria and I hope you have managed to pull things round and survive the season out. Would definitely recommend the Astoria to anyone wishing a peaceful holiday in a great location. Skiathos …… I’m sure you are beautiful.

It is a good quality hotel with a nice pool area and welcoming bar. - Breakfast was more than enough; if you want a "Full English" then this hotel, and perhaps Troulos, isn't the place for vyou - Bathrooms are small and the shower Greek Style - be prepared to soak the room. It soon dries out. - The pool area rarely ran out of sunbeds and the bar does reasonably priced sandwiches and salads for lunch - Troulos Beach is busy and only a 5 minute walk away. We spent the day by the pool and visited the beach in late afternoon and evening. - €8/day for the AirCon - build this into your budget, though our room was pretty coll without it.

What a beautiful and relaxing holiday we have had whilst staying at the Astoria Hotel. There really isn’t a bad word to say, the hotel was clean, peaceful and welcoming. The rooms were a good size, breakfast was lovely with a mix of continental and a few hot options and the lunches were extremely tasty and good value for money. The staff were always smiling and could not do enough for you to make sure your stay was comfortable. You feel very welcome the moment you step into the hotel and feel very much welcomed into the family atmosphere they have created. The hotel is peaceful and initimate, no loud music round the pool (in fact no music until lunchtime- perfect for a lazy morning!) and it is ideal for a drink before heading out for dinner in the evening. Ralph, the family dog could be seen doing his rounds in the morning by the pool and loved the attention of all the holiday makers! The hotel is ideally located, 2 mins from Bus Stop 20 and the supermarket, 5 mins from Troulos Beach and around 10 minute walk into Troulos village. The bus to Skiathos Town was very busy but was just a 20 minute journey for €3. I would not hesitate to stay here again- in fact we are looking to return next year, it is a very special place and very charming!
