I stayed for several days at both the Victoria Hotel and visit the connected by the rooftop, their sister hotel The Palace. You have to start with the fact that these are not 4* and 5* hotels. Perhaps they were when they opened 20 years ago, today it is a maximum of 3* and 3.5*. They are simply dated, you can see it and smell it. If we are aware of it, almost everything else is ok: very friendly service (special thanks to the nice, elderly man at the reception), tasty and varied breakfasts, cozy swimming pools and rooftop bar. The quality of cleaning the rooms needs improvement, the location of the rooms is cruicial (avoid rooms from the driveway for deliveries, unless you like to hear knocks and screams from 6am onwards). And the price: if you manage to find an offer up to 100e / day, that's ok, above that is not worth it.

Location was great. Airport bus was a few minutes away and was also close to the rock beach. A few minutes on the bus to St Julian’s and Paceville. Shower water pressure was decent. Room was too hot for me and centrally controlled so I could not change it. Apparently a fan cooler could have been provided but only found out at checkout unfortunately. Breakfast was decent. Staff were very friendly. Internal pool was alright, but I imagine would be very busy in peak season. The external pool looked nice but I did not use that. Sauna was alright but not very big and in the evenings could not use it as a result. Steam room was even smaller than that. Overall I would definitely stay again, although I might be tempted to try the next door palace hotel to see if that is much different!

An amazing hotel with outstanding facilities in a great location. We stayed on the 5th floor with sea views, and balcony for evening drinks. The breakfast and dinner buffet was very good each day offering a variety of food. My partner has a nut allergy and she was well looked after. The rooftop pool has outstanding views to Valletta, the sea and surrounding area. The pool bar also offers a good selection of food and snacks. I would recommend this hotel and stay gain.

Ruhig gelegenes Hotel mit gutem Pub (leckeres Essen und kühlem Bier). Das Personal unglaublich nett, aufmerksam und hilfsbedürftig. Schöner Pool auf der Dachterasse und Bar. Scheinbar gut ausgestattes GYM (ist nicht meins) - Innenpool und Sauna sind auch vorhanden. Im Zimmer gibt es einen kleinen Kühlschrank (!!) zur freien Verfügung. Ebenfalls im Zimmer ein kleiner Safe. Bad gut ausgestattet Bis zur Uferpromenade 7 Minuten zu Fuß

Sehr schönes Hotel im altenglischen Stil. Sehr gut gelegen in einer ruhigen Umgebung. Trotzdem nur ein kurzer Weg zur Fähranlegestelle für die Fähre Sliema- Valletta und zu diversen Bushaltestellen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten im näheren Umfeld sind vorhanden, ebenso weitere Bars und Restaurants. Frühstück und Diner waren umfangreich und als Büffet abwechslungsreich und sehr gut! Das Copperfield-Restaurant ist hell und freundlich. Eine Bar im Erdgeschoß sah sehr stilvoll aus. Allerdings haben wir sie nicht besucht, da wir trotz der schönen Musik, die man hörte, keine Bargänger sind. Die Angestellten des Hotels sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Besonders die Hotelmanagerin hat uns bei einem Problem unkompliziert weitergeholfen. Da wir nicht besonders gut Englisch sprechen war es von großem Vorteil, das sie sehr gut Deutsch konnte :-) Auf dem Dach ist eine Pool-Bar mit toller Aussicht über Sliema und Valletta. Insgesamt waren wir mit dem Aufenthalt sehr zufrieden.
