AX The Palace
"It is located near the bus shops (about 5mins). It is quiet, but you could find great restaurants near the ferries area."
AX The Victoria Hotel
"Good value for money. The four star hotel offers a five star service! Kudos!"
Plaza Regency Hotels
"Breakfast is wonderful , room is big ,comfortable, clean and quiet."
Courtyard Sliema
"Avoid room 125 at all cost if you’re a light sleeper. The balcony faces directly onto an active construction site, and works started early each morning, on one day the machinery was already going at 5:45 AM. On top of that, the refreshment station is right outside the room, and the ice maker and water heater cycle through in the middle of the night, which woke me repeatedly. The one genuine highlight was the buffet breakfast with plenty of variety and its convenient location. Overall a disappointing stay due to the noise."
The Windsor Hotel
"It’s been a rollercoaster with this hotel, and I was changing my mind about it a couple of times, but here’s the truth. The hotel is not 4 starts for sure, but for what this price can buy in high season in Malta it’s a very adequate deal. Don’t expect anything fancy or anything beyond the most basic amenities. The hotel is good for staying there to sleep, but not spending time there. Don’t bother with the roof terrace either, pool and tub waters are murky and don’t seem sanitary. I saw other peoples reviews and pictures and realized that I got the most OK room the hotel could offer. My next door neighbor was chain smoking in his room, and firstly the reception staff refused to do anything about it and bluntly said to my face that they won’t enforce hotels policies. But the reception manager next day helped me deal with the situation and was very nice and helpful in general about other touristy inquiries. Haven’t had breakfast, so can’t comment. Overall the hotel is okay for what it’s worth, but I recommend checking the room before accepting it just to be on the safe side. But it’s pretty obvious that it’s reasonable to expect what there is at this price point."
Sliema Marina Hotel
"Location was excelent; the staff were great but room was different as presented and inside was a disturbing smell"
The Londoner Hotel St. Julian's
"Brilliant hotel, friendly staff, excellent location"
The Preluna Hotel
"Fantastic hotel, got upgraded from economy room to a suite which was lovely with a balcony overlooking the sea. Location was great with lots of options nearby for food as well as buses to the centre of Valletta stopping very close to the hotel."
Lady Todd
"Very Good! But check in needs to be done at Mr. Todd which is just a few minutes down the same road. But the shower have inconsistent temperature. Apart from taht everything is really good!"

Sliema Chalet Hotel
"Hotel was great, clean and check in was easy. Included towels and shower gel, but no toothpaste. Kitchen was available for everyone to use but the hob was not working. Location was not too far from the centre, quite well connected so easy to take bus wherever you need to go. Overall enjoyed my stay and would book again."
Marea Boutique Hotels
"I stayed at Marea Boutique Hotels in Sliema for 7 nights (September 13–20). Overall, the experience was decent, but there were several aspects that could be improved. Pros: The hotel is very clean, and the room was pleasant and well-equipped, including a kitchenette. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. On our last day, we were allowed to leave our luggage at the reception, and I had the impression that the receptionist waited for us to return and kept an eye on our bags. Much appreciated! Great location – about 10–15 minutes' walk to the Sliema promenade, ferry terminal, and several restaurants and grocery stores. Smooth and professional booking process – everything was handled online without any issues. The hotel provides toiletries, which is a nice touch. Cons: Unfortunately, there was a persistent sewage smell in the bathroom every time we returned to the room. We had to flush the drain to get rid of it. The kitchenette lacked basic items like a dish towel and drying rack. It’s hard to make use of a sink when you have nowhere to place or dry washed dishes. Toiletries were not replenished during our 7-day stay. The shower gel container near the bathtub was empty, and since the containers are fixed, I had to manually transfer gel from one to the other every day. Breakfast could be more varied. It’s a buffet, but options were repetitive – mostly toast and scrambled eggs. Boiled eggs were available only twice, and if you arrived late, vegetables were often gone. Reception is not staffed 24/7, which became a concern during our stay. One evening, a seemingly aggressive guest was shouting in the hallway and trying to access another room. It took a long time for staff to intervene, although someone eventually did. No prior notice about street construction under the hotel windows. The noise started around 7 AM daily, which significantly affected our rest. It would have been fair to inform guests about this before booking. Given the above issues, I feel the price was slightly too high for the overall standard. Summary: I would recommend this hotel for short business stays (1–2 nights) due to its cleanliness and location. However, for a longer leisure stay, I would consider other options in this price range."
Amery House
"What an amazing hotel. By far the nicest people working at a hotel I have ever met! The staff were so kind and helpful. Even left cake and balloons in my room on my birthday despite us not telling them anything about it. Rooms were lovely and clean, breakfast was fresh and delicious. I could only make one recommendation, which would be to give an option of hanging up towels so they are not washed and replaced daily, as it’s better for saving water and the environment."
The Sliema Suites
"The environment is very convenient"
Palazzo Violetta Boutique Hotel
"It's a luxury hotel with easy walking distance to both Sliema and St. Julian's. The room was small but clean, and the atmosphere was great, with the Maltese stonework used in the interior."
Day's Inn Hotel and Residence
"Great to live here. It has good location and price."
Buena Vista Suites
"First off, the location is fantastic. It’s super close to the pier, which made exploring incredibly easy. Just a heads-up: there’s a bit of a hill to tackle to get up to the suite, but hey, let's call it built-in cardio to burn off the holiday food! Inside, the room facilities were amazing. The bed was comfy, the AC was a lifesaver, and they actually give you a sufficient number of hangers. It also comes with a sink, microwave, and plenty of cookware. Since eating out in Malta can get pretty pricey, being able to hit up the nearby grocery stores and whip up some simple meals in the room was an absolute game-changer for the budget. You can also enjoy sunbathing and swimming at the top of the suite. I never actually saw any management or front-desk staff during my entire stay. It's a bit of a digital treasure hunt—you have to transfer a €250 deposit in advance just to unlock the secret instructions on how to get inside. That said, I did see the cleaners, and they were absolutely lovely and very nice! In general, the cleanliness of the place was nice. However, the local wildlife seemed to think we were throwing a party. We were at first welcomed by a cockroach, and the other day, a full-blown scorpion decided to check in. I didn't realize my booking came with a safari package! They didn't pay their share of the rent, but they certainly kept things exciting. Despite the uninvited multi-legged guests and the ghost-town staff situation, the comfort of the room, the lovely cleaners, and the prime location made it a really great stay. Just bring a sturdy shoe... both for the hill and for the bugs!"
Sliema Studios
"The apartments are really great spacious, modern and very comfortable. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped and equipped with everything necessary for accommodation. The settlement is organized simple and convenient. There are only a few minor downsides. There were no means to wash the dishes manually: a dishwasher and pills are available, but sometimes a couple of items are easier to wash the hands fast. The air conditioner is not quite successful and is headed towards the bedroom. The air flow can be adjusted, but then the cooling becomes less effective. The location is not the most convenient for walking, but thanks to an affordable and well-developed taxi it almost did not deliver inconvenience. In general, the apartments are chic, the accommodation remains satisfied and can recommend them."
Mr Todd Hotel
"Very good location next to ferry boat station that is transfer you in valletta !!"
Ta' Tereza in Manwel Dimech
"I stayed three nights and appreciated the courtesy and kindness of the staff, the cleanliness of the room and all the areas. The proximity to Sliema and St. Julian's and public transportation to all destinations. Overall, we had a great time. Compliments to all the staff. And I almost forgot about the excellent continental breakfast."
The Maltese Sun
"We arrived late at 11pm and the self check-in procedure is clear and easy. Unfortunately, Room 1 given to us facing the street, hence we cannot open window. It likes in a room without window. The next surprise is the broken sliding door of the shower corner. After bathing, the whole bathroom is all wet. We reported to reception next morning and the lady indeed knows about it. Our request to change our room (as we stay three nights) are told not possible. The only compensation we are given is one more floor mat. I think the hotel should block this room from booking, or at least add a shower curtain at the interim. The 'do nothing' attitude is very disapppointing. Re. breakfast, it's normal European style. If you are Britain or Asia, don't expect too much."
The Howard Hotel
"My recent two-night stay at The Howard Hotel was unfortunately disappointing and did not live up to the expectations set by the pricing or marketing. While the lobby looks promising, the actual guest experience fell short. 👎 The Low Points • Dated and Worn Rooms: The room was clearly in need of a serious refresh. The carpet was stained, the furniture showed significant wear, and the bathroom grout was noticeably mildewed. It felt more like a budget motel than a hotel in this price bracket. • Noise Issues: I was frequently disturbed throughout the night. The walls seemed paper-thin, allowing me to hear conversations and running water from neighboring rooms, and the street noise was poorly insulated despite being on an upper floor."
