"Classic Victorian-style hotel with a rich and varied breakfast, and spacious rooms. The staff were kind and helpful. However, our double bed had two single duvets pushed together; I would have preferred one large duvet. The bathroom also lacked a bidet. The location is a bit out of the way and uphill."

"Our stay at Palazzo Violetta was unfortunately overshadowed by significant construction work taking place in the building next door. Upon arrival, we were immediately confronted with loud demolition and renovation noise, which could be heard throughout the hotel and from our room. At times, it was difficult to have a normal conversation because of the drilling and construction sounds. This ongoing work was not disclosed at the time of booking. We were assigned a room overlooking an internal courtyard. When we asked whether a room with a better view or a balcony was available, we were informed that such rooms were only available for an additional €50 per night. Given the unexpected construction noise, we explored the possibility of cancelling the remaining nights, but no satisfactory solution could be offered. We also experienced slow service when reporting a minor issue with the TV remote control. We waited approximately 15 minutes for someone to arrive at reception, and then a further 45 minutes before the issue was resolved. The hotel itself has potential, but the undisclosed construction work and the handling of the situation significantly affected our experience. Had we known about the ongoing demolition and renovation works next door, we would likely have chosen alternative accommodation."

"A hidden gem in Sliema! Behind the discreet entrance door of the residence lies a kingdom of incredibly luxurious apartments, the likes of which we've never seen in Malta! A huge apartment with incredible views: Valletta on one side and the open sea on the other. A living room combined with a kitchen, two large bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a guest toilet, and a storage room. A balcony with a dining area and a sun lounger for two. The view from the balcony is breathtaking; you can spend hours watching the boats and ferries scurrying in the harbor. Our rating: 10/10."

"It's about a 15-minute taxi ride from the airport. I arrived around 11:30 AM and left my luggage before check-in (2 PM) and went out for lunch. The ocean is right around the corner! When I returned at 2 PM, my luggage was safely stored. After checking in, I was assigned a room on the first floor, right in front of the door. I was worried about noise because it was right on the road, right in front of the door. But it was quieter than I expected. Other guests can be a little noisy when they come in, but most of them are polite during bedtime! The room was clean, and there was no need to worry about bed bugs. The floor wasn't carpeted, so there wasn't much dust. Breakfast, which started at 8:30 AM, was served on the sun-drenched terrace, just like the name "The Maltese Sun." It even made me feel healthier. It's a buffet, and the staff will bring out eggs, ham, cheese, etc. according to your request. ^^ Thank you to the staff. 😉 Even with my broken English, they were great at leading the conversation and explaining things. "5th time here. For the price paid this aparthotel offers fantastic value for visitors who want a basic but well equipped, self-catering room in the best location for buses,ferries, shops,trips,walking and swimming. It is very quiet considering it is in the middle of town. There is always hot water, comfortable beds,clean towels every 2 days and even Premier league football on the TV. It's as clean as most malta accommodation. I have been bitten by mosquito and bugs in most malta hotels no matter the price so I usually buy a fly room spray wherever I stay. If you want luxury then book somewhere else for more money to avoid disappointment . If you want a quiet, basic, great value room,well equipped for cooking meals , to stay in the heart of Sliema whilst exploring Malta then this is one I always return to. Fantastic Thai restaurant below."

The balance between the location as a sightseeing base, the comfort of the room, the quality of the breakfast, and the price was excellent, and I would especially recommend it to those who are value for money. First of all, the room was larger than I expected, with plenty of room even when I opened my suitcase. The room was clean, and the bed, floor, and bathroom seemed well-maintained. Even when returning tired from a long day of sightseeing, it was a space where I could relax with peace of mind. Another plus was that there was no noise and I was able to get a good night's sleep. I booked a plan that included breakfast, and it was even better than I expected. There was a wide variety of food, including bread, cereal, and fruit, as well as hot dishes. Everything was delicious, and I think you wouldn't get bored even if you stayed for several nights. Having a hearty breakfast meant I didn't run out of energy even when I went sightseeing straight away. The location is also very convenient. The area around the hotel has a calm and comfortable atmosphere, and you can see the sea just a short walk away. Best of all, it's easily accessible, with Valletta just a five-minute ferry ride away. Being able to easily travel to Valletta, home to many historic streets and tourist attractions, was a major benefit. The boat ride itself was scenic, making the travel time a little enjoyable. I think this hotel is suitable not only for those visiting Malta primarily for sightseeing, but also for those who want to relax. The price is reasonable considering the facilities and service, so I felt it was very good value for money overall. If you're not sure where to stay in Malta, this is one hotel you can choose with confidence. The only thing that bothered me was that I couldn't see the ocean from the window of my room."
