El Dorado Casitas Royale A Spa Resorts - All Inclusive

The sea is the worst in Cancun. Not only because of zargasos but also for rocks in the middle of it. It ruins the entire perception of cancun. A part from that “small detail” the staff was perfect, food and drinks good. We found a cucaracha under our bed... we were at las casitas.

The resort is always absolutely beautiful, grounds well groomed and well manicured. But it’s the employees that make the resort. All of the employees are extremely friendly and helpful. I wish I could remember the names of all the outstanding we met!! Some just around out more than others. Julio from the Spot pool was absolutely amazing, great service, always smiling and fun to be around. Vlad from Kick restaurant was just as amazing!! Take the time to talk to the employees, great people!!!

Just returned from a great experience at El Dorado Royale. Clean; Friendly Service; Great Food; Relaxing environment. We enjoyed both the beach and the pools. North end of the property has the best beach access. Quiet pools as well as activity pools available. We especially enjoyed the ability to take long walks -- to get to the restaurants. 1 mile of walking from one end to the other. Favorite Breakfast is at Palms restaurant. Shout out to Felipe for friendly and great service. Shout out to Andrew --our very helpful and responsive butler.

We went there April 15-25 2024. We were promptly taken to the Casitas check in and our room was ready. We had one of the best trips ever to the Casitas. The food was great. Our Butlers Miriam and Hugo were nothing short of fantastic. The servers as follows were great. Pablo at Kampaii, Gustavo at De Italia Villas, Victor at Cocotal, Enrigue and Alex at Sante Fe, Edmar, Silverio, Jairo at De Italia Casitas, Regina and Miguel at Jade, Amado at Sante Fe, Octavio and Heidi at HAAB , Sammi at Kick. our Bartender and Beach Butler Franscico and Jose at 32 pool. Luis at 32 Concierge office. My massage gal Aimie at Casitas and nail gal Joanna. Our server Gerry at Fuentes. The guys up front, Leo ,Felipe and the crew.So many more we cant remember. We will be back in September

Shoutout to Martini Bar at El Dorado Royal! This was the favorite part of our stay. The resort was incredibly beautiful. You can’t quite swim in the ocean, but the views are stunning. My partner and I stayed at the Generations part and that was definitely More family oriented. Next time we’ll stay at the Dorado Royal for sure. Thank you to Adal and the other amazing staff we met.

My husband and I had the most amazing time at El Dorado Royale. The quality of the food has to be my favourite part though. All the restaurants were great! The Mexican restaurant was our favourite, and Sheila (who worked there) is incredible! She recommended lots of dishes that were authentic and the food did not disappoint! There were so many pools to choose from, but the pool by Tucanes Bar was a little gem! The big pool by La Isla was a little too party for us, but if quiet and relaxed is what you’re looking for, I highly recommend the Texans pool. Alberto, the bartender, is so friendly and makes the best drinks! He also makes an effort to feed the iguanas every morning which is just so lovely. We also really loved seeing how well the animals are treated here. My husband and I are huge animal lovers and it was really nice to see! All the staff are super friendly and seem genuinely happy to be working at the resort. Cannot thank the management and staff enough for such a lovely stay! We definitely can’t wait to return!

Had the best time at El Dorado Royale. Every staff member we interacted with was so friendly, kind, and helpful, from the waiter who brought us a margarita while we checked in, to the golf cart driver who helped us get to our room one night when we made a wrong turn leaving karaoke, to the waitress who seemed genuinely happy to give us recommendations on her favorite menu items. The hospitality was wonderful. The food was amazing - we tried a little of everything, but the Mexican restaurant was our favorite. We didn't swim in the ocean, but we probably wouldn't have no matter how the beach looked. There were plenty of very nice pools with swim up bars to enjoy. Our room was nice - comfortable bed, large tub, and a balcony. If I had to find one thing to complain about, it would be some of the other guests, who seemed to be frequent visitors, were loud and rude. Obviously this is not the hotel's fault, and it made me feel bad for the staff who were all working hard.

This was our second stay at the Casitas, third together with the El Dorado Royale/Casitas property. We have been to other El Dorado resorts as well and are Exotic members for the last 10 yrs. It was such a wonderful trip -- from the Lomas pick-up from the Cancun Airport to the resort and the whole week. Weather was exquisite, service, staff, accommodations (on the beach with private pool), Butlers - Adrianna and Claudio (simply the BEST butlers -- thank you both for taking such good care of us and being our family away from home!), the restaurants, room service and all of the food. Then our dinner at Fuentes (WOW!) -- it just couldn't have been any better! We appreciate so much how beautifully kept the property is - picturesque! Housekeeping and turn down service in the evening, were so sweet and did such a wonderful job each and every day. The Beach Butler, Ramon -- simply fabulous!! All of the staff works so very hard to take care of you and make your vacation beyond spectacular!! We truly thank and appreciate every one of you!! Whether you are Exotic vacation members or not, the service is impeccable and we always HIGHLY recommend this resort or any of the El Dorado properties!! Thank you, El Dorado/Exotic. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy here. We came for a wedding so the resort wasn’t our choice, but boy was this stay a huge disappointment. Everything is old and worn down. Honestly, they need to pause and renovate the rooms because there’s nothing 5 star about the dingy, musty, old decor & furniture in these rooms. We opted for an ocean view swim up for our stay. We saw that it wasn’t the most modern online but what it looked like in person was just nasty. Almost every tile on the floor is cracked or damaged in other ways. Our room didn’t have a h hook on the door. The toilet looks like it belongs in a cell. The couch is so musty and old that it is faded throughout. The jacuzzi tub looks disgusting. It’s yellow and has spots and all kinds of mess in it. The area outside the room smells like sewage and the swim up pool area/patio has droppings, paint and who knows what else. Housekeeping comes, but only made the beds. Our floors were stained on arrival and after housekeeping came twice without cleaning the floor, I had to call to complain. Housekeeping also never replaced the wash cloths and never restocked the mini bar. The food was awful. Nothing comes out hot. Nothing tastes good. Nothing is fresh. And even if you order the same thing from the same place, who knows what you’re going to get. Most of it tasted like microwaveable appetizers but I guess the microwaves weren’t working because everything was served lukewarm. The shuttles are supposed to run every 15minutes. We never got on a shuttle under 30 minutes but the wait was usually 45mins to an hour. After the wedding, the bride and groom had to call to be picked up, despite booking through the resort and being told we would have shuttle service after the reception. Many waited more than an hour. As if the old decor, unclean rooms and bad tasting, cold food wasn’t enough, the SERVICE WAS AWFUL. I have never paid to be treated so poorly. All of the servers in the restaurants (Cocotal, La Isla, Santa Fe, Chef’s Market) are rude and disinterested. They get irritated if you ask for water. They disappear for 20-30 minutes during service, and never even look towards your table to see if you need anything else. When we went for breakfast, the hostess told us we could order waffles, the guy who brought the waffles out nastily told us that this was a buffet and not an a la cart restaurant to don’t order anything again (despite the hostess tell us to order and the server coming to take the order). The people working the hot food areas in the buffet frequently leave their stations unattended and who many of the options were empty and not restocked.
