El Dorado Royale A Spa Resort - More Inclusive

We had a great time, a few severs and bartenders were exceptional. Ismael at the Sante Fe for dinner, Sheila at the D'italia Royale and Edmar at the Casitas D'italia. Food was great! Pools were a little warm for our liking. We spent time at the Casita's 27 pool was was very nice. There Julio and Lazaro were amazing! We were there celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary, which we told the concierge when they asked. They offered to send special something that never arrived, but we still had an amazing time.

Overall we enjoyed our stay here. We came for a friend's wedding in October 2021, and will keep out wedding-specific items for this review. There are many activities in the complex, but we came to see friends, hang by the pool, eat and drink. Overall this fit the criteria. During this time, it was still very humid, but perfect for being in the pool (not necessarily a wedding outfit!) Room service is convenient, but not always fast, especially late at night. I think 2 hours+ one evening for us. The room service food was better than some of the restaurants in my opinion. We didn't go on the beach other than for a pre-wedding party. They go through COVID testing when you check in.

The resort is very Beautiful and the employees are very helpful and treat you like Royalty!

The swim up pool experience was great. Food was delicious and amenities were relaxing and made for a nice, calm experience

we did not leave this place happy. After checking in we were dropped of front of building was told this is it, we had no idea where the room was. we had figure it out where the room was and had to carry our luggage to get the 3rd floor no elevator. First night we could not make reservation for dinner at check in desk, concierge wasn't available. We arrived at Italian restaurant luckily it wasn't that full, but we were told this time they would let us in. Food was not good, no taste! simple soup had one muscle, one calamari ring, one shrimp on liquid! 0 taste of anything. same thing with steak no taste. went up to bar ordered a glass of Jack Daniels with taste of a scotch whiskey, i guess they fill up their own drink and made a mistake with bourbon whiskey, with scotch whiskey. I told them this is not Jack Daniels they just looked at me funny. Went to bar by the beach ordered the same drink it was fine. Next day early in the morning went out for breakfast found out all the beach chair was taken at 8am, but cabanas were available which takes majority of pool side. Then found out they are $225- $185 each depends on what you order to drink. After breakfast we end up by the beach staring at concrete pyramid looking concrete blocks. Honestly for the price i paid for this hotel I could be somewhere way better than this resort. I mean service was bad, food was bad had a better meal at airport. For them mess with drinks that tells me they would do anything to make money not a comfort

The staff is not knowledgeable and unfriendly. Food restriction and not good selection for vegeterian. Being in Mexico- No vegeterial oil cooked beans avaialble in evening dinner in many area. - No jalpenos available in many eating places. No Coconut water available - we had to literally ask may times to get it. No walking dining area - requires reservation in advance, when we are there for relaxation - every one wants to eat with ease. Overall experience is very bad. My room had few problems that were never fixed.

Food is fabulous. Staff is exceptional. Site is kept very clean daily. Watch out for the cart drivers, they are fast! Be sure to make reservations for dinner. Recommendations: Restock water more frequently, add curtain over the bathroom window, light shown through so room never got dark AND fix the shower so it didn't sound like it was running all the time.

Went on a trip with 3 other couples. We all booked beach front rooms. All except one did not get a beach front room. The resort was working with them to settle it, but it took too much of our time. Food was great when there were food options open. Make sure you get dinner reservations in ASAP. You can “walk-in” at certain restaurants, but the wait is horrendous. Oh, and make sure you have the right nights reserved on their open days. Concierge booked us at a restaurant that wasn’t even opened. So, after walking around trying to find something open, we had to get room service. Room service menu wasn’t impressive, but it did the job. One thing I would suggest for the resort to do is, at least a buffet for lunch and dinner. It helps with people arriving late and the people that do not have dinner reservations/or when concierge messes up. They have an “quick” pizzeria dining spot that is open, but note: IT TAKES FOREVER! The two times we went, it took nearly 2 hours. Really good pizza, but the wait made it impossible to enjoy. All in all, it was a great stay minus the hiccups.
