Not having been to a resort in Mexico before, perhaps my expectations for food and drinks were too high. I felt menus were limited, meal options lacked spice, and many of the drinks I ordered were made incorrectly or were unrecognizable. The staff are great - they are nice and they work hard - so don't take your grievances out on them.

Hotel was great. All the staff is so nice and accommodating. Need more food options and drinks but overall the food was good.

Check in process was very easy. We paid extra for an upgrade an it was worth every penny! Every single person who works there always greeted us, most of them remembered our name out of all the people they encounter. That was a very special touch. Eduardo, waiter at the Mexican restaurant went above and beyond being a waiter for us. He catered to every need, made great suggestions. BTW the chili relleno is the best! Fernando Olvera assisted us with an issue in our room and it was resolved quickly. He always took time to ask how everything was for us and he always was sincere about it. We felt like he really did care. Yolanda was our housekeeper and what a sweet lady! When she saw us she always asked if we needed anything. The concierge on the 7th floor was so helpful all the time. Always very respectful and remembered our name. The lounge area on the 7th floor was a great place to be for a quieter place to relax. Jorge is the best bartender we have ever had. He knew what to fix us each time we came in every day. He is so attentive and amazing. We had a lot of fun with him. Paulina....she works at the VIP pool area and wow....I cannot say enough great things about her. Always with a huge beautiful smile and so caring and took amazing care of us. We felt we left as friends. I wish I could remember other staff that went above and beyond but there were so many of them! They all were genuine with their care for us. Truly all of the staff made our stay there where we want to go back! We cannot recommend this resort high enough. I can't imagine anyone staying at this resort would have even a slight negative review. Honestly, BEST PLACE EVER!!! The only reason for the location review is we would have liked more of a sandy beach. But I think because of the way we were treated by ALL the staff made us not realize there was no white sandy beach to walk on. In ending this review, please always remember to tip the employees who work so hard to make your stay enjoyable.
