Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya All Inclusive - Adults Only

Service and food were excellent. The property was spotless. The only problem we had was they put us in a building with construction noise and we asked to move, which we did. Also, the rooms are very automated, and the air conditioning sensor didn't work properly. Otherwise, everything was excellent. Food was great and had no problems getting a table. They do close one restaurant each night, so make sure you find out which ones are closed during your stay. Also, we loved the piano bar with the specialty drinks, but the piano was extremely out of tune. It sounded like a cheap saloon in a western movie. Sad considering the piano player was very good. Overall we would go back again and probably will.

Our stay was beautiful, I will not deny that. However it was not without a few letdowns. I am a woman who is all about a pool and was so excited to swim in the absolutely gorgeous pool I saw in all the photos online. I visited the week of Jan 1- Jan 7th and the weather was quite warm about 75 degrees every day. HOWEVER, the pool was absolutely FREEZING to the point where I was shivering being in it. Felt like an ICE BATH :( It was not enjoyable and with this being a secluded/ all inclusive hotel there weren't very much other forms of entertainment during the day except for the pool and the beach (the water was warm at the beach). It was so disappointing. I called the front desk to ask if anything could be done but they stated was no pool heater/temperature adjuster. We paid about 4 grand total for this trip and to be completely honest were only able to enjoy the pool once. My next complaint comes to the beach. We went to the beach which gets pretty bus. There was a day where every single chair was full and two of the hotel cabanas were being taken over by random street vendors - taking away two spots for the guests from the 100% packed beach area. These guys were NOT a part of the hotel and are the vendors who go around trying to sell cigars, etc. I watched the staff pass by them multiple times and say nothing while ACTUAL GUESTS had nowhere to lounge by the beach. That was very disappointing as these guys were laughing loudly, staring at guests, and did not move as people walked by looking for chairs. Other than that I will admit that the food was great, the staff was super nice, the hotel grounds were IMPECCABLE, the rooms were nice, everything else was quite lovely. But for the reasons listed I will not be staying at this all inclusive again, although you can still make the most of it and have a lovely experience overall. I'd recommend a stay if you're not going for the main reason of enjoying the pool and the beach.

The staff is very professional, very friendly & helpful. Service was exceptional. The rooms, restaraunts, pools, spa, bars & beach were all great. Exceeded our expectations & we'll definitely be going back in the future.

A place where we feel pampered and loved. The staff are all very attentive to our needs and fast in delivering their services. 7 different-themed restaurants with great food and good NIghtly music. Room accommodation is spacious and has that romantic atmosphere.

How clean the property was and how friendly the staff were

The food is amazing and the staff are all very helpful and friendly. I was upset at the very large increase in the cost to be at this resort as compared to our trip to this same hotel in 2023.

Went went for our 8th time, and I’ve always written a lengthy review. For this one, I’ll just say there’s a reason we’ve been 8 times. When we were sitting and listening to the amazing Imperial Band on our last night there they asked everyone to raise their hands if it was their first time at the resort and only about half the crowd did so, meaning there were a lot of loyal Valentín repeat guests there. As I always say, you can be as relaxed and secluded or as active as you want to be. It’s remarkable to have as consistent of an experience as we do year after year at this place. The solid things are always there, but we always notice small changes like new things on the menu, little renovations here and there, etc. that continually improve the resort. The food was excellent, the drink service at the pool was actually a little faster than we remembered, and we have zero complaints. This will continue to be our way to unplug and relax after the busy season of a school year ends. This year’s employee shoutouts: Fabiola at TamanSari, Albino and Alex at Mar y Tierra breakfast, Miguel at Cafe Sesal, Diego who bartended one day at the beach and made me a great new drink but was also at Cafe Sesal, Daniel from the Go Team and Gabriela, the manager of Hacienda.
