Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya All Inclusive - Adults Only

Service and food were excellent. The property was spotless. The only problem we had was they put us in a building with construction noise and we asked to move, which we did. Also, the rooms are very automated, and the air conditioning sensor didn't work properly. Otherwise, everything was excellent. Food was great and had no problems getting a table. They do close one restaurant each night, so make sure you find out which ones are closed during your stay. Also, we loved the piano bar with the specialty drinks, but the piano was extremely out of tune. It sounded like a cheap saloon in a western movie. Sad considering the piano player was very good. Overall we would go back again and probably will.

Our stay was beautiful, I will not deny that. However it was not without a few letdowns. I am a woman who is all about a pool and was so excited to swim in the absolutely gorgeous pool I saw in all the photos online. I visited the week of Jan 1- Jan 7th and the weather was quite warm about 75 degrees every day. HOWEVER, the pool was absolutely FREEZING to the point where I was shivering being in it. Felt like an ICE BATH :( It was not enjoyable and with this being a secluded/ all inclusive hotel there weren't very much other forms of entertainment during the day except for the pool and the beach (the water was warm at the beach). It was so disappointing. I called the front desk to ask if anything could be done but they stated was no pool heater/temperature adjuster. We paid about 4 grand total for this trip and to be completely honest were only able to enjoy the pool once. My next complaint comes to the beach. We went to the beach which gets pretty bus. There was a day where every single chair was full and two of the hotel cabanas were being taken over by random street vendors - taking away two spots for the guests from the 100% packed beach area. These guys were NOT a part of the hotel and are the vendors who go around trying to sell cigars, etc. I watched the staff pass by them multiple times and say nothing while ACTUAL GUESTS had nowhere to lounge by the beach. That was very disappointing as these guys were laughing loudly, staring at guests, and did not move as people walked by looking for chairs. Other than that I will admit that the food was great, the staff was super nice, the hotel grounds were IMPECCABLE, the rooms were nice, everything else was quite lovely. But for the reasons listed I will not be staying at this all inclusive again, although you can still make the most of it and have a lovely experience overall. I'd recommend a stay if you're not going for the main reason of enjoying the pool and the beach.

The staff is very professional, very friendly & helpful. Service was exceptional. The rooms, restaraunts, pools, spa, bars & beach were all great. Exceeded our expectations & we'll definitely be going back in the future.

A place where we feel pampered and loved. The staff are all very attentive to our needs and fast in delivering their services. 7 different-themed restaurants with great food and good NIghtly music. Room accommodation is spacious and has that romantic atmosphere.

Beautiful property with perfect mix of peacefulness and action!

I went in late May, early June of 2024. We were a group of 6 ladies. Check in was quite easy. Great service and friendly staff. Welcome cocktails. Got us and our bags to our respective rooms quickly. The rooms: I had the Prive package but as my friends did not this really didnt add much to my trip experience. I got flowers and fruit to my room. A bottle of champagne and 2 bottles of liquor, though they got the order wrong. I had trouble with keeping my mini bar stocked. Things were not replenished every day. The room had a very distinct, musty and moldy smell that never went away. The bed was great, the mattress was quite firm which i always enjoy. I ordered room service a couple times and it took about 45 minutes to arrive which is exactly how much time they tell you it will take. The food: We ate at a different restaurant each night and the food ranged from excellent to inedible. Portion sizes varied from place to place. The breakfast buffet at La Marche is quite varied but you need to request to sit inside if you’d like AC. I got eaten alive by mosquitoes as this place is open to the elements. There is no buffet option for dinner but several sit down places are option each night. The Japanese and Mexican places were our favorites. Tasty food and decent portions. Remember to order as much as you'd like. Go for as many courses as you’d like. The French restaurant was a bit of a let down. My steak didn't even look like real food. The look and texture was so off that I barely took 1 bite and set it aside. La Mar was a great dinner and an even better breakfast spot. You get a hint of the ocean breeze here so it takes the sting out of sitting outdoors. The taco trucks by the pool were fantastic. We ate lunch here every day. Get the chicken tacos! Overall it seemed the seafood options were quite strong. The churro cart was great! The Pools The main pool with the swim up bars. It’s nice during the morning hours. There’s some gentle music that plays but when the activity squad shows up it gets ear splittingly loud. This does not calm down until around 5pm. Drink service was easy by the pool, servers check on you regularly. There is a quiet pool by building 7 and 8, you can barely hear the music from the main pool. Not much of a breeze here but it’s more hidden away and chill. There are still servers that come by for food and drinks. The Beach This was my favorite place to hang out. Decent loungers and palapas. I’m an early riser so i was usually one of the first folks out there. A generous sea breeze and the crashing of waves provides nice white noise. Most folks here just wanted to relax. The activity squad came by a couple times but the crowd wasn’t interested. We mostly had excellent service with drinks on the beach. We tipped regularly and generously throughout the day. We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was so beautiful! Great food selection, great service, gorgeous resort! The taco trucks by the main pool are a MUST. Our guy Juan will take care of you. Highly recommend to anyone looking. We’ll definitely be coming back!!

We returned on May 24, 2024, from the Valentin after our 5th visit "home". We had an amazing time at this resort and will definitely return again (and again!). Much has been added since our last visit in 2021, including a coffee shop (lovely!) and complete updates to the suites in the Golden area. We were upgraded to a beautiful suite in building 6, which we absolutely loved! We loved the location of building 6 as it seemed equidistant from everything. Overall, our experience was fantastic, just as in past visits. The staff are friendly and always eager to help. We purchased the Prive upgrade for our week-long visit and felt it was well worth it. The Prive concierges are wonderful and always took such good care of us. Additionally, it was great to know we always had a beach or pool bed waiting for us, and Abner and Marco were always accommodating and helpful. We never wanted for anything as there was always someone offering drinks/refills and food! Our favorite restaurants this visit were La Hacienda and Ginger, but we had great food everywhere. We had breakfast and some lunches at LeMarche, which was excellent with so many options! There are so many options for things to do on resort and the Go Staff are energetic and so much fun!
