Mexico rate it a 4 star, TUI rate it a 3+ star. To be fair its a 3 Star. I.ts a well used holiday resort, and shows it. Its one of the cheapest All INC on the coast line and you get what you pay for. The staff make it, but dont expect 5 star. Noisy it is and popular with young familys. Long transfer from airport. Not worth the upgrade to Blue badge as that is where the most noise and activitys are at day and night. Take mossie spray {must}. Its very popular with north American and Canadian youth. Most are respectable of senior , but if you want a quiet beach all inc holiday?????. Also,, expect a lot of young familys on long haul flights. Why do people expect a child can stay reserved for a 10 hour flight????

I really enjoyed my dining experience at Toscana Restaurant at Catalonia Riviera Resort. Our server Joel provided us with top tier service. The quality of the food and the presentation was excellent. When you go please ask for Joel. He will take great care of you. The sangria was great.

Food was average at the buffets, but at Toscana restaurant the food was delicious … our server Joel was the perfect gentleman and very friendly. His service was top tier, very knowledgeable of the wine and menu. He even took our pictures for us.

As a returning guest of 9 times I have a little more expectation so take that into consultation with my review. I prefer the Catalonia Yucatan side for the simple reason of view and closeness to the beach. Rooms are outdated but very clean compared to the newly renovated Catalonia riviera Maya side. (They use to consider sister resorts) As of Nov 1/23 they have split the two and you cannot get privileged on the Yucatan side at all.
Catalonia did offer us to switch sides (to the riviera Maya) and receive the same service that we’ve always received but would not give us the same to stay on Yucatan. We couldn’t use the steak house, Japanese restaurant, or beloved.
Other than this our trip was amazing as always from the staff to the location!

Hotel is very clean and staff very attentive. Joel in the Italian was great and very helpful. Would recommend for a nice break, the food in the buffet can be repetitive as with anywhere but the food is authentic and the al a carts restaurants were brilliant.

We were seated as served by Joel. His service and attentiveness to myself and my partner was beyond expectation, I also want to mention that I have egg and nut allergies, and he was very clear on the dishes I could and could not have. Joel even went the extra mile and made sure my starter, which should be prepare with nuts, was prepared specifically without nuts so that I could enjoy it. Would highly recommend this restaurant as the food was delicious and the service was first class
