Have book for an overnight stay as attending a conference the following day. So have requested on my booking and also email directly the reservations of Mantra South Brisbane to request a quiet room and away from the lift. This was acknowledged by the reservations via email . Day of check in, I even ask the reception after giving the key if the room assigned to me is quiet and away from elevator , and he state it is. But surprised upon reaching the floor, out the elevator , room is directly opposite. Had to go down the reception and request a change of room, and even told them I had requested this weeks ago. How disappointing that they disregard my request , waste of time contacting reservations after all. Also then was informed by housekeeping staff when we have issue controlling the room temperature that it is under maintenance , so no way to control it at all. So wasn’t happy with my stay , would think twice of booking this hotel again

Check in with very helpful staff member. Room spacious with comfy beds and bedding. Location is perfect right in heart of Southbank with cafes and restaurants everywhere. Double glazing on windows kept out train noise pretty . (Train line runs near hotel) and despite central location the rooms are very quiet. The rooms could do with a refresh as some furniture is a bit scuffed and shabby but did not interfere in comfort of our stay.

The location is the most important thing, but the location is so good that it has good access to the south bank and the nearby restaurants are close, so it was really nice.

Great location with easy access to Southbank and cafes/restaurants. Friendly helpful staff. Room got very stuffy as you couldn’t open the window. Hot tub wasn’t very hot, was luke warm.

Hotel common areas and room were pretty tired and basic considering the price paid. Had difficulty getting clear instructions about parking when calling the hotel. We had the same dirty crockery outside the door to our room since arrival for 3 days. Inconsistent with towels placed into room each day. Dirty carpets in room. Discarded cleaning cloths dangling from plants outside window. Very loud A/C. Mold in shower cubicle. Would all be fine if price was half what it was.

The room itself smelt like it was damp - I suspect the carpets (which were of nice quality) had been wet from the shower/bathroom - the bed was not a double but two singles pushed together and were not even in height - additionally I thought one of the single beds was broken - there was a lot of noise when you sat down on it - the smoke alarm was had red lights blinking all weekend which made it difficult to sleep - it is clear to me that they need to spend more on maintenance - the pricing was good - the staff were happy and professional - if it were not for the staff I would not have rated my stay as high as I did

Very difficult to park out front to arrange valet parking. Long queue to check in and out. Staff lovely though and location brilliant

This was by far the worst experience and stay we have ever had and at the price of $400 for one night we feel robbed. So to start with the shower is so slippery (as it’s an old bathtub) that when I stepped out of the shower one leg went one way and the other leg went the other way sending me flying across a slippery floor straight into a cupboard ripping my toe nail on my big toe straight off causing extreme pain to the point I can no longer where a shoe and will have to take time off work of which has now put a financial strain on my growing family, then at some late hour we received a phone call being accused of make loud noise and partying when we were trying to rest as that was point of our stay so we got on with our stay till breakfast came along and food was horrible and we were spoken to so rudely when we came to collect. After speaking to the manager they said sorry there’s nothing we can do for you. All we want is a nice stay for a night to relax

The hotel is in a great location. We were disappointed that we did not get our room serviced at all over the three night stay. On the second night we asked at reception for more toilet paper and tissues, they never arrived. Luckily I found the storeroom and was able to help myself to these and teabags as well. The staff at the restaurant were very good.

The most thing i like about Mantra Hotel is the connvenientcies. I can go for a walk nearby and the parks are close by. Also the price is very affordable.

Love the hotel and the staff were faultless. Unfortunately, the room was at rear hotel and noise of train disturbed my sleep. When on business early sleep is helpful.

The location was ideal. No parking options included in the price was disappointing. The staff were trying to cope, they seemed understaffed. They were as helpful as could be expected. This wasn’t the cheapest accommodation but not the most expensive either, even so we didn’t expect mould in the shower or a very clogged air-con unit. There was no TV remote in our room and we had to call down to reception twice to receive one. Even after we went out and came back some time later. The really frustrating thing about our stay was our air conditioning having a mind of its own. It fluctuated all night becoming very stuffy and hot to dropping down to 22 suddenly. It made for an uncomfortable night. We would not recommend a stay here.
