1. Location, the hotel is just by the lake, but it is a 30-minute drive from Windermere, and it is far from the Lake District. 2. Some rooms can accommodate an extra bed, 15 pounds a day, including breakfast. 3, the hotel is large and has a lot of parking spaces. 4. The meal is great, classic English. 5, the hotel toiletries are good, is the British Royal Development Supplies MB, the bathroom's heating rack is open in the summer, the towel will be done overnight. We ate in both gilpin spice and source. Both meals were delicious! We also had lunch and cocktails in the lounge which were also lovely. The team made me a cocktail off menu as well which I really appreciated. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel comfortable throughout our stay. The rooms are a little pricey and I was expecting a little more for my money but overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Disappointing trip overall. We was due to check in at 3pm, when we arrived the staff informed us that our room wasn’t clean and ready for us. We eventually got into our room at 4.45pm, shocking really when we had a baby and spent £300 for one night. The room looked tired, also had no curtain on the window. When we raised our concerns to the deputy manager, she gave attitude and didn’t seem to handle the situation correctly. We come to the lakes every year and stay at the Beech Hill however I’m afraid this will be our last stay. However, even though are stay wasn’t great, I would like to mention the restaurant manager and restaurant staff who was very friendly and delivered a great 3 course meal.

Good hotel, plesent staff ideal for steam train and steamer ride to Bo'ness good breakfast ample parking would stay again

The location of the hotel is average. Have their own garden, the room is quite large, dinner should be booked in advance, asking for a window. Service is too good, 15 minutes walk from Lake Grasmere.
