The Little Haven Hotel

Everything was first class we had a great time can't wait for the next time.

This is the second quilting retreat that our sewing group have held at this hotel and again have not been disappointed. There were 26 of us in total ( and apart from a couple of minor ******* ) the weekend was a raging success. The staff were friendly and always made time to chat and made sure we had everything we needed. Our room was immaculate and very comfortable. Breakfast was spot on. The sandwiches provided for lunch were delicious. The hot water for the flasks on our tea and coffee making area were mostly kept topped up with fresh hot water. A special shout out to the lovely Ali who is sue to retire in December. She is adorable. She is so nice to everyone and nothing is too much trouble. She will be a big miss when she goes. Thankyou from all of us! Ali.. we will see you in November when we come back for another retreat!!

Room had piece of chocolate and a paper clip on the floor. Overlooked by housekeeping team. Despite having booked a table for dinner we were directed to an unset table with neither cutlery, napkins or glasses. We had to ask for the menu, which duly arrived. Having chosen the £29.95 dinner for two, wine or beer included, we found it unpalatable and indeed were given a 50% reduction to compensate. The sauce mooted to be served with one dish had to be requested and was supplied late. Also water asked for was not forthcoming until asked for again. At breakfast despite being shown on the menu there was no porridge. No reason for this omission was offered. As the stay was to celebrate a wedding anniversary it turned out to be very disappointing.

This Hotel is lovely and in a great location. It is undergoing some updating and we appreciate that this takes time. However, we travelled with Swann tours who cater mainly to the elderly so we were devastated to find, not only no walk in shower,which helps with mobility issues, but the bath had no grab rails anywhere in the bathroom, let alone around the bath. So it was precarious to say the least when attempting a shower. My friend who is 82 with restricted mobility, actually fell twice as we couldn't spend 4 nights without attemting to be clean ! It took a considerable time and lots of bruises to get her out of the bath after her falls. I have some mobility issues too. However, the redeeming feature for this hotel is the staff and the food. The staff are amazing, as is the food. There was nothing that was too much trouble, friendly and accommodating at all times ,even when they were rushed off their feet. They are wonderful, all of them and Alli and Ava in particular,as we saw them the most, were even more impressive and friendly no matter when or what we asked of them. Just a lovely lovely staff team throughout the whole hotel. They would bring us back time and again if the facilties in our bathroom was safer, but sadly room 115 was not and we were told that most of the hotel rooms were the same, so we would, in the interests of being clean and safe, we would not be able too. The hotel and staff are great. Any requests we had they helped us with. From the ladies on the reception, to the room service staff and waiting staff all made you feel very welcome. We had a great room with a lovely view and we will be back in July and October in 2024.

We come here 2-3 times a year for long weekends and pick the same room and it's always spot on ,breakfast is always good the staff are always rushed off their feet a big shout to Alison one of the best, pity she coming up to retirement and will be sadly missed,thanks again

Lunch with my parents today and it didn’t disappoint. Food was beautiful. Large portions and the chips were the best I’ve had. Staff are very friendly and asking how your day is. Very busy but the staff coped well. More staff maybe as constantly on the go. Definitely will be returning.

Just a single night stay, mid-week for business. Room was OK, clean & tidy. Bed comfortable. Location was great, right on the seafront but out of town. Was told at Breakfast I was in for a treat - and I was. Breakfast was fantastic, big shout out to Alison & Lindsay! All in all a nice place, would recommend.

Avoid this hotel at all costs We booked this hotel for my birthday ,we were put in room 219 straight above the office it's was constant noise and everytime so one went out for a fag we heard everything ,we were told no other rooms were available then we turn heater on and room stunk of sweaty feet ,and to top it off we left the same night didn't even stay and the staff told us a manager would contact us ,it's now Wednesday 5 days later and no contact with manager just someone called jade who bare faced lied and said she offered us a new room . They have refused to refund me ,its disgusting that staff can lie to take people money AVOID AT ALL COSTS
