We stayed overnight at this Quality Inn on May 11th, 2023. It was very convenient to I-26 and the room was a good value. It was very clean, the free breakfast was good, and the staff was very friendly. Jatin Mehta was especially helpful, as he went out of his way to help us receive our reward points and made sure that our stay was comfortable. We appreciated his help, and we would recommend this motel to others traveling through this area.

I stay at this hotel every time I come. The reception was very welcoming and the rooms were very clean. There are restaurants, supermarkets, gas stations around the hotel, which is very convenient. The hotel has breakfast, but it is American style and relatively simple.

Looking at amenities (breakfast included, no smoking, & pet free) and upon reviews, we made our reservation. Before arriving I was unable to reach the hotel via phone (using the number on the reservation confirmation) but got a recording stating I was # 31 in line. Arriving and noticing the parking lot was sparsely occupied, I entered and was cheerfully greeted by Monique who politely checked us in & issued our room key cards. She also stated she had received no calls! The facility was obviously aged. Although basically clean, bits of debris were seen in the carpet leaving me to think that think a stronger vacuuming was needed. The furniture in our room was scarred in numerous places, the ice bucket had no lid, and there was no luggage stand nor clothing bag in the room. The bathroom and entryway lights were on automatic switches ~ the bathroom’s light had to be switched manually and the one for the entryway could not be turned permanently off. Therefore, we had to cover it so that when getting up in the night the light did not come on. The beds were comfortable and restful. We found the breakfast to be fairly basic but the eggs & sausage Pattie’s were cooked & hot. The only napkins in sight were pre-wrapped with utensils so that for every napkin needed you had to get the whole package.

Had booked another hotel that was dark and felt dingy and just couldn't stay there longer. Stumbled into this one and should have been the 1st pick! Christina, front desk, was incredibly gracious and understanding. Room was big, clean, bright, great AC. Plenty of room to unpack. Full fridge and microwave. Had cook top available by request. Nice light blocking roller shades not icky curtains. Comfortable beds and pillows. I had view of forest. DirectTV with HBO. Lobby is welcoming. Cookies and infused water. Breakfast was better than I've had any other place. Full blown breakfast sandwiches with eggs, meat, cheese on biscuits and bagels. Even at 945 (ends at 10!) they were still restocking waffle batter, a few sandwiches, and fresh fruit. Super convenient location. Walk to Starbucks, QT, Fuddruckers. Less than 2 minute drive to at least 10 more restaurants. Close to freeway for easy access. Rooms were so quiet! Walking down the hall could hear a noisy family but not at all in the room. Also didn't notice any interstate noise. Easy ~1hr drive from Charlotte/CLT.

Stopped here over night on our trip from point A to point B. Very nice new HIE. The hotel is set up on a hill in view of the highway, but you don't really hear it. ( no Jake-brakes). New hotel and has all the cool stuff the kids want. USB outlets at both sides of the bed and 2 at the desk area. Lots of places to charge your devices. Large king bed with 4 pillows. very comfy. Keurig in room coffee, nice clean shower and a few extra towels too. Lots of places to eat in the area too. Too many to list here. Pool was open during COVID, but you had to reserve a time The road in into the hotel is a little dark and freaky at night. you will wonder if you GPS is wrong as you wind past a bit of old industrial area and some poor road conditions, but, the hotel quickly comes into view. would stay here again.

The staff at the front desk were very nice. I wanted to buy a bottle of water, but gave me a bottle for free. The breakfast was okay. The hotel type. There is a women's baseball park nearby, and more families stay with children on weekends. The sound insulation is not very good, and the heating sound is a bit loud, but it was unplugged before going to bed.

A Travelers worst nightmare, the night of June 2,2023 me and my girlfriend decided to travel to Spartanburg for the night as we had to be in the area the very next day to look for apartments. I arrived right at 11 to check in and get settled into my room… It was some Hispanic lady behind the counter checking me in then “Kelvin” finished up the rest.. me and my girlfriend got our room which was “216” and got settled in for the night as we were dealing with graduation all that day. Over the course of the night my girlfriend woke up freaking out and was breaking into Hives as something bit us as we was asleep.. idk if it was bed bugs or a “tick” as the hotel property manager would say since they’re a pet friendly hotel… I rushed to the QuikTrip near by to get my girlfriend some “Benadryl” so she could stop breaking out.. I get back to the hotel and show Kelvin my girlfriends faces and he’s like oh crap as he knew something was up or he knew we was perfectly fine before we step foot into the Hampton inn…. He states that he doesn’t have any rooms available for me as his hotel and his sister hotel was completely booked for the night.. he then states that the room across from 219 was open and said that we could go check it out.. me and Kelvin went to 219 and the mattress had a big stain on it as well as the mattress was flipped. I told Kelvin that would not work and could we get our money back… he asked to check and see my girlfriend back and her face as she was bit.. me and Kelvin proceeded to walk in the room to check in on my girlfriend and my girlfriend sees something crawling in the bed as “bed bugs” me and Kelvin took pictures and I LEFT to come back to Columbia, SC at 4:45 in the morning…. The manager calls me that following Monday/ Tuesday saying that it could’ve been a tick biting my girlfriend but why weren’t the sheets changed upon our arrival as we didn’t have any pets in our room nor own any pets IF GOOGLE WOULD GIVE ME THE OPTION TO UPLOAD THE PICTURES I WOULD.

On my drive north from Atlanta, this was as far as I wanted to go on the first day, and it was a great stop. I wasn't there in time to shop at the outlets, but they are super close. There are lots of restaurants at the next exit, though construction makes it hard to get there----but the hotel desk clerk told me about another way to get there, using local roads. I recommend Daddy Joe's Beach House BBQ and Grill. You can also buy fabulous SC peaches and other produce at Abbott's or Strawberry Hill right next tot the hotel. My room was clean and comfortable, and I had an excellent night's sleep. Two reasons for Very Good instead of Excellent: the towel rack was hanging and not usable, because of a missing bracket. The front desk clerk said that it had been reported to maintenance. And the pen on the table broke into two pieces when I removed the cap....strange.
stay in the heart of the Carolina foothills…
welcome to the Hampton Inn Gaffney.
Our city began as "Gaffney's Cross Roads" in 1804 when Irish immigrant Michael Gaffney established a tavern and lodging house in the heart of the Carolina foothills. Our area was perfect for growth because of the two major roads that met here, one from Charlotte into Georgia and the other from the mountains of North Carolina into Charleston. Today, Gaffney still offers a welcome place to rest when you're on the road, the Hampton Inn Gaffney hotel.
Business travelers and vacationers alike will be delighted by the modern conveniences and stellar service our hotel in Gaffney offers. If you've ever wanted to experience true Southern hospitality, you're sure to find it here.
The Hampton Inn Gaffney hotel is conveniently located off I-85 next to Hamrick's Department Store and Prime Outlets Gaffney. You'll find plenty to explore nearby, whether you're touring the Kings Mountain Military Park or visiting the Cowpen Battlefield. Plus, you'll find Charlotte Coliseum, Lows Motor Speedway and Erickson Stadium, all less than 60 miles from our comfortable hotel in Gaffney.

We enjoyed our stay at Hampton Inn Gaffney. We chose this hotel because it was conveniently located between Kings Mountain Battlefield and Cowpens Battlefield. The staff was friendly and helpful. Bonnie was working when we checked-in and out. (Two others were working when we checked-in. They were nice, as well, but I failed to get their names.) Our room was nice and clean. The breakfast was as good as expected with lots of choices: scrambled eggs, ham, oatmeal, cereal, fruit, yogurt, bagels, waffles, juice, and coffee. The hotel is located beside the Gaffney Outlet Marketplace. There were several restaurants close by. A convenience store/gas station was across the road. I highly recommend this Hampton Inn.

Excellent
YYoungSusanOur initial impression of the facility was negative due to the older lady at the front desk. She was not very welcoming when greeting us nor apologetic regarding the time it took to check us in which was over 20 minutes. When we finally got to the room the AC was not working which required me to go back down to the check-in desk. Fortunately, another front desk clerk who was actually preparing to leave for the day assisted us by attempting to fix the AC and then eventually provided us with a different room assignment - she was wonderful - I wish I had gotten her name. Both rooms were exceptionally clean which pleased me to no end. The entire facility was very nice and impeccably clean. Everyone on the staff (from housekeeping to the numerous front desk staff we engaged with over the course of our stay) was very nice and accommodating with the exception of our initial check-in clerk. I would highly recommend this location but recommend they better train some of their staff.
GGuest UserThis used to be the nicest hotel in town and now it is barely what I would consider a 3 star hotel on a good day. The check-in experience was painfully slow and lacked any sense of welcoming. Upon arriving in our room, we discovered only 1 set of towels, no bath mat or hand soap, only 3 pillows on one bed while the other had 4 and only 1 pack of coffee and it was decaf. I tried calling AYS 3 times letting it ring for 20 times each and then finally resorted to using my cell to call the hotel and I finally got an answer. In addition to asking for additional towels and coffee, I asked for a luggage rack as there was not one in the room to which the agent (same one that checked me in) said they were located at the front door. When I explained what a luggage rack was (vs a luggage cart), he said the hotel did not have them. The room itself is very tired and in need of refurbishing as well as repair. Torn wallpaper, broken shade pulls, breaks in the tile are just a few issues. Dusting also sees to be non-existing as well as there was at least an inch on the air and vent returns. Prior to arrival, I received an email from the front office manager indicating “we are in the process of returning to normal operations”. Seriously other hotels are back to operating as they were pre-Covid, not sure you can keep milking the Covid excuse for what truly appears to be lack of care. Mr. Marriott Sr would turn in his grave if he set foot in this hotel. Sadly since Mr. Marriott Jr stepped down and the company acquired Starwood, the quality of product and service at Marriott worldwide has been on a downward spiral and this hotel is leading the way.

This motel is the in a rough location and you need to drive around if you want to have a seat down meal. A lot of people walking around the property that seemed to be out of place , nota guest of the motel and we were woken up throughout the night with auto alarms going off. The bed was clean and super soft. Other than a hint of smoke the room was ok but I believe the smoke was from 2 doors down from our room was a person smoking outside. While we were at Cracker Barrel I got some room refresher to help the smell.
GGuest UserPre reserved for cross country trip to a funeral. The manager was ‘the only person working at 4pm’, front desk, cleaning rooms, laundry’ etc. She stayed there all night working. I won’t stay there again because the shower didn’t work and had no hot water. I can’t say enough about the manager’s work ethic. She needs a raise.
AAnonymous UserThis was my second experience with this hotel, the first experience wasn’t quite bad. However this experience was a total nightmare! The night shift staff was very helpful and patient. Given the fact that the site was under construction I was able to overlook the never cleaned room and dead bugs in the sink. I was thankful and comfortable until I had to deal with the late and irresponsible management from day shift. First I was told that I would be charged $28 of my $100 deposit for leaving my room a couple of minutes late, but when I collected all of my gathering a I was then told I couldn’t receive any of my deposit back because I had brought damage to the property. My observation she is a unfit and lazy worker that just got over during this holiday season. I still thanked her for her half done and unpleasant services as pushed me towards the exit of the building and threatened to call authorities. I would’ve accepted a portion of the deposit being charged but losing the whole thing that wasn’t worth the service from the beginning is just ridiculous! This particular hotel will never receive my y my service ever again!
