Judita Palace Heritage Hotel

This is a beautiful property with quaintly decorated rooms and modern bathrooms. Daily housekeeping was amazing and very appreciated. Amenities include an elevator to the upper floors and a ‘chill room’ that we used to gather and visit with other members of our group (plus staff was happy to provide wine glasses and water). Breakfast was wonderful—lots of choices including eggs to order and absolutely beautiful fruit platters each morning. Rooms were equipped with a kettle for coffee/tea making, but staff also said we were welcome to come to the dining room early to get coffee or call down and they’d bring it to our room. Hotel staff were absolutely exceptional and gave us a very helpful list of restaurant recommendations. They also gave us accurate directions to the area where we needed to park, met us there, directed us into the parking spot, and then carried all of our luggage to the hotel. Talk about exceptional service! The parking does cost an extra fee, but was well worth the money. The hotel location in the historic area of Split is charming with lots of shopping and cafes nearby, very walkable. And again the hotel staff was full of energy and personality (Andy!)—we really enjoyed meeting everyone we encountered. Also, nice touch to have wash cloths in the bathroom as many hotels in Europe don’t provide them.

My wife, teen daughter and I had a two night stay at the Judita Palace hotel in March, 2024. The hotel had just reopoened after being closed for the offseason. We booked a Deluxe Double Room with Old Town View room. We reserved this room so we could have a rollaway for our daughter. The room was very nice with plenty of room. The shower and bathroom were great as well. The view was out into the main square of the old town part of Split; it was on the same floor as the restaurant and check in desk. We were met by a man who works for the hotel at the outter part of the old town, since cars are not allowed in that area. He took all of our luggage and guided us to the hotel, then carried the luggage up the flight of stairs to the check in desk. The room was quiet; we hard no noise from the square. We had breakfast at the hotel both mornings. One morning we ordered some eggs and ate the fruit, breads, etc. at the buffet. The other morning we went for lighter fare of cereal and fruit. Both breakfasts were great! When we had fruit, the attendant cut up a pineapple to serve to us. Our stay was absolutely great in terms of location, accomodations and service. We were the only guests in the hotel on the two nights; there are fewer than 20 rooms. The hotel is small enough that the staff, in my opinion, is able to deliver exceptional service even if the hotel were fully booked. We had no service requests at all. I strongly recommend this hotel if you are going to be in Split; you can't go wrong!

This beautiful botique hotel is right in old Split. The staff was gracious and went the extra mile to be helpful. Our breakfast was delightful in a perfect setting. You do have to go in and out by stairs, so if that would be hard for you, think twice. Staff insisted on carrying luggage up and down, so that was never an issue.

The entire staff was very friendly, helpful and in some cases also funny! I travel quite a bit and I’ve never been anywhere where the staff was as nice as at this hotel. It wasn’t just one person; everyone was great and all the other guests that we talked to at breakfast shared the same opinion. The hotel room itself was small but very clean. The room had a decent amount of closet space and a safe. The bathroom was rather large, and everything looked new and clean. A free bottle of wine was included with the room. The breakfast room was large enough for the guests, yet at the same time cozy which allowed us to speak to quite a few other travelers. The breakfast buffet was great with plenty of cheese, meats, fruits, pastries and bread. You can also request eggs to order and perhaps other breakfast items as well. The hotel is very conveniently located within the main square with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. To get to the receptionist, you will see a small plaque for the hotel outside a café. Enter the café and walk upstairs using the stairs on the left. At the end of our stay, we planned to walk with our carry-on bags back to the bus station to catch the bus to the airport. The staff wouldn’t hear of it and insisted to take us and our bags to a little golf cart driver who drove us to the bus stop. As mentioned, the staff was just amazingly helpful.

Perfect location, close to everything. Excellent service, delicious breakfast. Highly recommended!

The service was excellent. The hotel is small, in the center of the palace, with small windows. If it was high tourist season it would be hard to get to.

The best thing about this place, as others have said, is its location. We had a double deluxe room which faced the piazza and it was fun to stand at the big open windows and watch the people go by below. This place reminded me of a very nice pensione that you can find in European capitals because the reception is on the second floor and you walk up a stone staircase to get to it. You actually have to walk thru a little open air bar/cafe to get to the stairs, which added to the charm. Our room was right off the cozy reception area, although others were up one more floor (by elevator). It just looked like a lovely old home rather than a "palace", which is what I was expecting. The staff was very eager to help. Breakfast was included and it was OK. The pastries were forgettable, but the fruits were great. You can also order eggs. We had a continual problem with the internet service for the TV, which was frustrating because we sometimes wanted to relax and catch up on the news at the end of the day. (Yes, some people do that) Their tech guy - who doubled as the breakfast chef - was a real comedian when talking about their spotty service. Not a huge problem and, all in all, the best place to stay.

Andy and Siniśa were amazing! It’s a beautiful, charming, and convenient place, we felt like we were visiting family. They took care of our excursions, transfers, hearty breakfast and great coffee!!

Nothing less than exceptional! Located in a privileged site, in a beautiful historical building and with the most courteous staff one can ever wish for.
