Apartments Korta
4.7/551 Reviews
This is one of the very best rated accommodation offerings in Split for a reason; in our one week stay we have been truly looked after from the first minute. Regular communication before our arrival to check things such as arrival time (no questions asked about early arrival, we were told to come straight to the apartments and were let in to ours immediately at 12pm noon despite our official check-in time being 2pm). Excellent friendly staff, clean room, good utilities (shower, hob, fridge, even the TV). Excellent location in old town, close to the city centre and Riva but far enough away for it to be a quiet and peaceful area. It is less than ten minutes to the nearest supermarket (LIDL), and a ten minute walk from the bus station if you choose to get the shuttle bus in from the airport as we did. We were asked several days in by text if we needed anything (such as the room cleaned, fresh towels or extra bathroom items i.e. soaps), we said yes and all were delivered within a matter of moments and our room cleaned the following day in a time we specified when we knew we’d be out of the apartment. Perfect location, apartment, staff and ‘little details’. Thank you Korta Apartments for a brilliant stay. :-)
Lanterna Rooms
4.7/536 Reviews
On our recent trip to the Balkans we stayed in six locations in five different cities in three countries, All locations were clean, enjoyable, safe and hospitable but Lanterna and the family that runs it came out tops in their willingness to assist our stay with arranging great restaurants and tours to help us to get the most from the trip. Lanterna’s location is ideal in that it is on the fringe of the old town thereby providing easy access to the historic sights waterfront and restaurants but away from majority of the noise and crowds. Sanya in particular went out of her way to make sure every detail of our visit was what we wanted to get our of our Split visit. She even came to our car when we arrived and navigated us to the secure parking located 100 yards from our door. As it is an historic stone building the rooms are a bit on the small side but are nicely equipped. But the attentiveness and consideration of the staff and family more than made up for that inconvenience.
Rooms Gold
4.4/50 Reviews
The room is in the attic. Although small, it is very cozy. The entrance is the bathroom. A short flight of stairs leads to the shower and kitchen. Going inside is the bed. Three people can live, but there is basically no room for two large suitcases. Call in advance to contact the check-in time, check-out is self-service like other homestays, and there is basically no one at the front desk. The front desk provides free coffee and tea. There is no elevator. The big suitcases are tiring up and down, but everything else is good. About 20 minutes walk to the bus station
Hotel Marul

This small hotel is ideally located for exploring Diocletian's Palace, the wonderful Old Town and the sea front - all within easy walking distance, as are numerous excellent restaurants. Yet amazingly, it is in a very peaceful and quiet location. It has a small but attractive courtyard garden next to the terrace of the restaurant where we had breakfast and one lunch. It was lovely to be able to sit outdoors to eat under one of the many sunshades. Staff are all very helpful and friendly, especially the hotel manager who treated our youngest grandson with sweets and toys to play with. We had three deluxe rooms, two of which overlooked the courtyard garden and had pleasant balconies. The airconditioning in the rooms (very necessary in the height of summer in Split) was excellent.
