Staff at the front desk was friendly upon check-in. Parking was reasonably priced and there was definitely more of it since I stayed at this hotel years ago. We were disappointed in the room though. Description of our room clearly stated it had a Queen size bed, when it most definitely is a full. That was honestly very disappointing as we have a full at home and sleeping in a bigger bed from time to time is nice. I also didn't even know hotels used full beds. The room was also somewhat small. The bathroom was large and it did have a fridge which were helpful. Room also appeared pretty clean. We chose this hotel as it was only a 12 minute walk from a comedy show we were attending, but in the future might pick a different hotel. The bed size situation is just that disappointing.

This hotel is SUCH a gem. What a wonderful, comfortable, and delightful stay! The rooms were perfect and the lobby area was very nice to hang out in. The hotel staff were so nice. Loved having the Gilded Unicorn attached! Will 100% be staying here again!

quaint older hotel in heart of spoke. surrounding neighborhood has number of transients but the rooms are comfortable, the walls on the property are adorned with an interesting collection of art work. details about specific works are included in the each room.fairly quiet for being in the city.

Love the history of this place! Came here for an always crowded Volleyball tournament, but... No noise afterhours! Microwave, Fridge, and 24hr Hot Tea and Coffee, Awesome!. Staff Over the Top Nice and Polite. Great Experience. We'll be staying here gain for sure!

Great stay because of the staff, comfortable bed, beautiful art, good coffee, inviting lounge area, and groovy restaurant downstairs. I also lived the coffee shop next door and Garden Party bar around the corner. The room was bigger and nicer than the photos.

We have stayed at the Montvale several times while visiting Spokane. It’s quiet, reasonably priced, close to everything, security parking. My only beef with the Montvale is the unsafe slippery tubs/shower. They are clean, plenty of towels. But they are slippery. So my trick to not fall in the shower is to throw a clean towel on the floor of the tub and shower and step out on a dry second towel on the floor. Seems this could be handled by safety *****s on the floor of the shower. Maybe someone could look into this?
