One of the beds lost a wheel, causing the bed to tilt all the time, and the curtains were all moldy. The parking service is not free as stated on the Internet. The remote control for the air conditioner in the room didn't work either. The balcony is not for private use only and smoke from other patrons can drift into the room. Very unpleasant experience, will never come again! ! !

We wanted to stay near the RBWH and thought this place is close and reasonable priced, we stayed for 4 days. But omg the carpets where dirty not only in the room but also in the halls. The bathroom had mould and the small exhorts fan was so full of dust and dirt. Stains where on the floor. The bath tub had a black ring around it and also in the bottom, shower over bath, there was no handle to hold on to, to get in the bath. had to try and hold the glass wall to get in and out which was very dangerous as I am older and unsteady on my legs. The Hand wash basin had not seen a cleaning cloth for some time and had stains, just so dirty. The fridge wasn't cooling properly and some of our food went off after the 2nd day. The single beds look like they been not changed from the last few people, the pillows where not fresh smelling hate to think who slept on them. thankfully I brought my own, The room was supposed to be a self contained family room, not even a toaster was supplied. we could have hired 1 for $5. I declined. I ask if we could get a frozen dinner heated in they kitchen, it was a no we don't do that but you can hire a microwave for $5, Since it is quite a long walk to the shops and restaurants we end up doing that. besides a mug and a spoon nothing was available. The staff where indifferent, friendly but came across I don't care. It was not nice maybe too because the room was so grotty. The last day we ask if possible we could check out at 11am since 1 of us had a meeting at the research centre, again it was, it would be ok but we charge you extra. Needless to say we declined. as the charge was for a full day. Good points for this Motel, the aircons worked, we had 1 continental breakfast which was ok. I asked for lactose free milk and it was available. The carpark was available and free, and a washing machine was also available, providing it was not used. all in all I can't recommend this motel, I wont be back.

I arrived in town early this evening, quickly checked in without viewing the room, then headed to work. Now that I've returned and entered my room, I realise what a mistake that was. Aside from struggling to open a lopsided door handle that kept jamming, the first thing that has struck me is the smell- a mixture of cigarettes and vomit. There is an unsightly brown streak that looks suspiciously like regurgitated wine trailing down the bathroom cabinet. There is no fresh carton of milk in the fridge - instead there's a half empty carton. So much for being able to make a cup of coffee when I start the day at 4am. Reception is closed. I am supposed to run through a series of Zoom work meetings from here tomorrow morning and it's just untenable. This is disgusting. Best Western, you really shouldn't be making a doctor's life harder during a pandemic but congratulations, you've managed it. I'll never stay in one of your hotels again.

First off, the staff I encountered were fantastic, however, my room was a tip. Dirty, stains everywhere, on the carpet, curtains, the mattress cover. Holes in the wall from broken fittings that had been removed, no microwave ( was stated 'microwave in the room' ) thin walls ( could hear the next room goin at it ) . On the plus side, pleasant neighbourhhood, relatively close to town and walkable so long as you are reasonably fit ( hills ). Not far from Woolies and an IGA.

Intended to stay one night at this establishment. Even when checking in I had an uneasy feeling about the place. Foyer and surrounds dirty with 'stuff' scattered everywhere, the restaurant stacked with broken furniture and obviously neglected, but it was the carpark that really set the alarm bells off for me. Groups of individuals sitting around, cars without number plates, dark and no obvious security. Upon entering the room I was surprised- it wasn't too bad. Certainly not good, but acceptable for the price. I went out for a couple of hours- returning about 8:00 pm. Now the carpark really spooked me. Groups of young men standing around, couples sitting in dark corners- it was unsafe. I went back to my room, gathered up my stuff, placed the key in the 'express checkout slot' and exited. At no time was I attacked or my car damaged, but the place felt unsafe and it simply wasn't worth taking the risk. Book a room at your own peril.
