Inn at 835 Boutique Hotel

The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was ready and in great condition. The breakfast was offered high quality food. The atmosphere of the common areas was inviting and comfortable. The location was convenient to downtown attractions. We would definitely stay here on our next trip to Springfield.

Very clean, adorable rooms. In the evening they bring a small basket of fresh warm cookies. The breakfast is included and made by a chef. It truly is one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. Everyone was so nice Slept so well, comfy bed, quiet location and no noise from other guests. Hugh tub with jets for an enjoyable soak! The interior is gorgeous antique wood and decorated with antiques. We loved this place!

We adored staying in the 835 boutique, my granddaughter and I take a trip every year for two nights and we chose Springfield and I’m glad we found this place.It was inviting and quirky at the same time. It was in a great location for the attractions, we wanted to see we were able towalk to most. Everyone was very friendly and courteous and helpful. The rooms were old of course, but well cared for having warm homemade cookies on your door. night was a bonus. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and made just like I like it. The staff was friendly helpful, and courteous. I think I will stay here again if I come back to Springfield.

Just stayed here again and finally was able to get a reservation when my wife could join me. The restoration is beautiful, the rooms are very comfortable, always very clean in ALL areas and the breakfast is delicious. Lucky to get a balcony room this time and enjoyed a cool morning respite before a hot day. Trains can be heard like most of DT Springfield but they are less intrusive than some places we have stayed. Looking forward to coming back for a long weekend.

We had mixed feelings with our experience here. On the one hand, the breakfast was delightful and the balcony off our room was splendid. The drink tokens provided for Obed and Isaac's was a fun touch. However, it is getting dated and a bit unkempt. The outside of the main entrance was a mess for our entire 3 day stay...wanted to get a leaf blower and clean it up. The place had catering dishes and table cloths sitting out in the seating area that gave it a very cluttered feel. The check in process was bad. Can't check in until 4:00 PM that results in a huge backup for people coming in...3-4 couples standing around wondering when will the keys will be given. Suggest if you are going to have people wait around, have your snacks and beverages out at 4:00 (not 5:00) for people to enjoy.

Lovely comfortable hotel in historic apartment building from early 1900s, converted to a hotel in 1995. Small number of rooms, lounge and breakfast setup allows for friendly conversations with other guests. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Superb breakfast. Rooms and furnishings are older but well kept, with some neat old-fashioned touches like a cast-iron clawfoot bathtub and a treadle sewing machine converted into a side table (both in Dahlia Room). Curtains were not fully light-blocking, and mattress comfort so-so. Just 2-3 blocks from the fabulous Dana-Thomas House, one of Frank Lloyd Wright's first complete houses and with the most art glass just about anywhere.
