I stayed at this hotel for a conference, so I figured it would be a safe choice. First, upon check-in the elevators were not working - this hotel has 20+ floors. I was told I could wait for a service elevator or walk. I waited 20 minutes for a service elevator that never came, so I hiked up 14 flights of stairs with luggage - no help available. Upon getting to my non-smoking room, it wreaked of cigarettes. The room was old and outdated with chipping paint and a dirty bathroom. After hiking 15 flights of stairs, I thought a cold drink would be good, only to find out there is ONE working ice machine in the ENTIRE hotel and NO working vending machines. The floor that I stayed on was incredibly loud. LOUD like people screaming at each other and slamming doors well past midnight. I notified the front desk who did not seem to care. I hope my presentation goes well today on 3 hours of sleep.
