Hotel du Vin, St Andrews

The hotel has a very good location, and their service is really nice!

This hotel is in an excellent location on the Scores over looking the sea Very handy for the town & all its bars and restaurants Breakfast is particularly good as it is table service with a good choice.Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Fabulous stay. Reception team especially Kelsey were really helpful. Wonderful location which was quiet and very convenient for beach and city. Fabulous toiletries! and lots of little touches which made the whole experience really wonderful.

From start to finish our stay was just perfect… The hotel was just lovely , the food was delicious (new menu our first night) our room was amazing (newly refurbished) & the staff were extremely helpful. The trip was a 50th treat trip for my Fiancé , he knew we were going to St Andrews but had no idea where we were going. To say he was over the moon is an understatement - our room was one of the suites (Highland Park) which had views onto the sea & further beyond , just gorgeous! The room itself was stunning , spacious but cosy , bed comfy & a lovely little window seating area to take in the above mentioned views. There was plenty of storage , lighting was so nice & the room had an iron , ironing board & safe. We managed to secure one of the private parking spaces at the back of the hotel , this was marked with our surname with the dates we were there. This allowed my Fiancé to take the car away to a local golf club safe in the knowledge he had a space waiting for him. Both mornings we really enjoyed the breakfast , there was an extensive menu for hot food & a fabulous continental breakfast buffet. We dined in the hotel on the first night & we both thought the food was amazing , in addition the restaurant team were kind enough to present my Fiancé with a dessert with 50 candles & sang Happy Birthday to him. Thank you to the whole team for making this trip so special.

We spent an overnight at the hotel in February and were upgraded to a suite due to ongoing works on the second floor. The hotel, staff, room and surrounding areas were all perfect and we would stay again in a heartbeat.

The room was recently renovated and super cute! The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. The location of the hotel is also very good with views of the sea. Also Beth at reception was a star and super friendly! She is an asset! And Dimitra the maid was super polite and friendly too. The only observation is that bread choices at breakfast could be more varied (including sourdough) and some dairy free milk options could be there for us to add. Otherwise hot breakfast choices seem plenty (we did not have a meal at the hotel). We would recommend.

Very disappointing. They did not provide me with a room I booked. I booked the junior suite, which had been shown on photo, instead I was provided with a room which size was a exactly as a regular room. Strangely they said they also considered that room a junior suite while admitted it’s size and everything else is a same as regular room. No compensation or anything else was offered. The staff did not even apologise. They said the room which was on the photos (shown as junior suite) was busy, so I had to take the other or leave it. Finally, while I was checking in at 8:40 pm, they did not mention also that restaurant kitchen was closing at 9pm, so I also missed a dinner.

I have had many glorious nights at the Hotel du Vin in St Andrews. My room this time: Old Tom Morris was the best, facing the sea, wonderfully furnished and so relaxing to sit at the huge bay window. The staff and location are wonderful.perfect.
