Amazing place to stay! We had great communication from the owners before and during our stay. Joby messaged us shortly after booking with information recommending places to eat and with taxi phone numbers. On arrival, we found the room spotlessly clean. We were in room 3 which has two bedrooms meaning my daughter had a bunk bed all to herself. A counter top fridge was a useful addition to the room and had been stocked with beers and mineral water. There were also various biscuits and sachets to make hot drinks. The room comes with the benefit of a parking space on the drive which is a real bonus in St Ives! Porthmeor Beach, the Tate, the harbour and the town centre are within reasonable walking distance although it’s a steep hill back up to Storm in a Teacup! The room came with small bath towels and hand towels with offers of changing them if needed. We stayed Monday to Friday of half term and on our final morning we had a knock on the door. We were presented with hot croissants, jam and fresh orange juice and also a gluten free double chocolate muffin for my daughter which was so thoughtful (I had asked for recommendations for gluten free eateries at the point of booking).

Amazing place to stay and the host joby was absolutely brilliant. He made us feel so welcome, i would definitely come again and anyone planning a trip I would totally recommend storm in a teacup to stay. Rooms are really clean and tidy ,the town ,beach and harbour is only 10 minute walk away so if your planning to stay in St Ives storm in a tea cup is the plac to go, the Cornish gin was fantastic and the croissants Joby gave us to go home with were delicious, what hotels or guest houses would do this and for free! Thank you again Joby 5 stars from us. G Brown & C Woodley

Honestly, where to begin?! Our stay at Storm in a Teacup was beyond perfect and everything we wanted and more. We arrived at the property to be greeted by Joby (who was totally lovely!) who showed us around the property and to our room. The room was absolutely beautiful, quirky and boutique style with everything you’d possibly need. The space was exceptionally clean and we appreciated the attention to the tiniest details! The location is perfect walking distance into St Ives and Porthmeor Beach. Now, little to my knowledge, prior to our trip my boyfriend had been in contact with Joby months before as he was planning to propose to me! Of course he was successful, but what made our trip even more special was our return to the room, where Joby had worked with my (now) fiancé to have balloons, Prosecco, cakes and my favourite sunflowers ready for when we returned. I can’t thank Joby enough for the amount of effort he went into to make our stay so special. We will absolutely be back to Storm in a Teacup, not only because it is so perfect in itself, but because it now holds such a special place in our hearts.

Might have been the most wonderful two days I have ever had! I arrived to cold beers and bottled water in the fridge, packets of coffee and hot chocolate and biscuits. The room was the most clean and comfortable I have ever stayed in - I found it difficult to leave the bed in the morning! Joby upgraded me to the sea view room and I was lucky enough to watch the sun rise over the sea at 6.40am from my window. On my second night, Joby asked when I would arrive back and provided me with a delicious Cornish gin & tonic with all the trimmings! He recommended Silco for dinner, where I went on my first night and had the most incredible tamarind fish curry, whitebait and cocktails. He also recommended the Barbara Hepworth Museum, which I adored, and The Island, which had the most breathtaking view I have ever seen. I was sent off today with fresh croissants ad jam, and Joby immediately rang me to let me know I had left my flat keys there, before I got the train home - phew! Everything is within a 15 minute walk, but be prepared for hills! All in all, I would come back here in a heartbeat (and plan to). 10/10 recommend.

We had a really really lovely time staying here and Joby as a host could not be faulted! Top notch holiday! I'm not sure why it says on here it does breakfast, we did ask and was advised they do not. By the looks of it they used to or maybe just weren't on this weekend however for us it was not an option. That was fine though and didn't negatively effect our stay at all! We had Room 2 and it had a smart TV, loads of amenities, a en-suite, kettle and fridge. A fridge is not common and was very appreciated as it means you can save a bit of money in your stay. Beers were on the fridge on arrival and my partner was VERY chuffed about that after a long train journey. The bed was lovely, bathroom very posh and very cosy. I did think the room looks smaller in person however cosy and lovely and very modern stylish design. Our host, Joby, was amazing, he welcomed us, we had anything we needed cleaning cleaned quickly and easily by leaving it outside of our room and when back from dinner he even offered a gin and Tonic to take back to our room. It was so appreciated and so much effort had been put in, watermelon and ice and like from a bar!! He also left us croissants and jam in a bag outside our door for us when we left. He was a brilliant host. My only complaints regarding our stay was the hills (definately not rhe fault of rhe place haha!) Personally as non drivers we did struggle walking back up to the place from town however walking to town was fine, taxis are also available. Also our room was facing the front of the property and and as the windows were so big it meant if you wanted the windows open or curtains open everybody walking by can see directly inside (or it felt like that!). It meant I felt a bit self conscious qnd if you wanted natural daylight a bit on show. There were blinds which we struggled to get work (I'm sure Joby would have helped if we had asked) however not sure this would've helped the issue. That being said it was really fab, super friendly and helpful host and a lovely Nook for a stay in St Ives, would definately reccomend!!

Had a really lovely week here, my husband and I in one room and the teenage children in a family room. great quirky rooms, very comfortable, spotless, fresh towels and crockery everyday, off road parking. Sea views, 10 mins from centre ( walking) , lovely outside space. Joby was an exceptional host from the initial booking, great communications throughout via text, sent a list of places for eating and drinks. Welcome drinks in the fridge on arrival, celebratory gins for my birthday, croissants on early departure with a lovely note. We were made to feel very welcome and will definitely be visiting again. Thank you.
