The location wasn't bad and the facilities weren't that great, but it wasn't a big problem.

I rarely write poor reviews. But after spending $450au in order to have a king bed, the only option being a “corner suite” I was very dissatisfied. The bathroom is so small there isn’t even room for your toiletry bag. Need a towel to shower or dry your hands? Other side of the room. Not even a towel rack nearby. It’s that small. The whole layout is wack. Got a call, needed a pen and paper, nothing to be found. A bottle of water? Nope. Nothing. For a suite, it’s cramped and doesn’t include even the most basic amenities found in a motel. Maybe the cheaper rooms are better, but this suite was a total bust and total rip.

We came here for a wedding in the beautiful central courtyard. It was outstanding. It’s just a beautiful spot for a small wedding. Utterly perfect, in fact. Gorgeous garden setting with nice light coming in and lovely plants all around. I’m not sure you can get a much nicer spot. And, the staff here were exceptional throughout, especially the young woman server from near Reading and the young chap (also from the UK) on the main bar. They were outstanding. Both were so happy and pleasant and just so service oriented. This is an excellent venue with great staff. We’d happily come here any time

When it comes to staying in Melbourne, St. Kilda is one of my preferred spots. The Prince offers a perfect location whether you want o go for a walk on the beach or you’re off to one of the many restaurants in the area. Too tired to go out? Enjoy the refined restaurant or the wonderful Prince wine bar ( wine, cheese and cured meats to die for). Then breakfast comes …..never a disappointment in years……. Definitely worth a trip.

We stayed at the Prince for two nights and found it mostly excellent. Good location with lots of cafes and restaurants in walking distance. It is modern and clean, and the checkin and checkout was very friendly and professional. We had a delicious breakfast in the bar area. The hotel parking was very cheap for Melbourne. There were a couple of odd things about our deluxe room. It was very spacious with a comfortable bed, a large, modern bathroom and extensive cupboards. However, there were only four coat hangers, and no drawers anywhere in the room. There were none of the usual racks for our suitcases, but plenty of room to put them on the floor. There was a small wooden table and only one wooden chair. All a bit strange.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Prince. The service was great, location was convenient and the bed was very comfortable. The only issue was noise at times, but it was a Sat night and to be expected.
