Amazing huge bed (it was tidied when we arrived!). Lovely bathroom facilities Great tea making facilties Tv was good Only thing is suggest is a fan we ended up there on one of the hottest weekends and it was soook hot but it was fine The staff were lovely location is stunning! ! I really hope to come back soon

Stayed 2 nights. Excellent hotel, great facilities; excellent and helpful staff; great meals at reasonable prices. Rooms very clean and nicely decorated with comfortable beds and great bathroom facilities. Dog loved it. Can't fault it John Law

I stayed for four nights whilst working away at the local hospital and found it to be a real gem of a hotel. Family run with some delicious home cooked food on offer and very welcoming staff. My colleague and I had some great interactions with lovely member of staff called lynne, very down to earth and a great sense of humour. My room in particular was spotlessly clean and had a wonderful view overlooking the sea.- I will definitely return if i have to work in Redcar again

What a fantastic hotel, such friendly lovely staff with nothing too much trouble. Spotlessly clean throughout, lovely tasty breakfast and such good value. We were a party of 9 lively ladies staying for the races and we were made to feel welcomed and so well accommodated throughout our stay. Well done The Claxton, you've got it just right and we will be back if you'll have us!!

Wow what an amazing mini break we had with you. Nothing and I mean nothing was to much trouble. The staff are so amazing and kind. Food was outstanding and the bedrooms were spotless and cleaned every day. Thank you for making our trip so lovely. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed at the Claxton for business reasons and I must stay everything was outstanding. The rooms were comfortable and quiet, the food was excellent and the breakfast was perfect. Staff were very attentive, Lynn in particular was a joy to meet and treated my colleague and I extremely well, very chatty without detriment to her professionalism. All in all a most relaxing and enjoyable stay, next time I'm working in the area I will be looking to book here again.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Great location for access to Redcar and for walking along the beach. Nice and quiet , newly decorated comfortable hotel - great breakfast, overall very pleased with my choice.
