Eurohotel Katrin Suites

Katrin Suites Adults only is an amazing little gem in stalida. I ll stay untill tomorrow but with this staff i would like to review it earlier. They are all excellent. Fom room cleaning ladies to receptionists, waiters and even kitchen staff their strive to make the experience at Katrin Suites one you ll remember always Thank you

Lovely hotel in a very good location. Rooms and all other areas are spotless and have comfortable beds. Food selection is really good. Staff are lovely and with a smile! The manager Kosmas is always present and ready to help the staff and customers. It is nice to see a manager present. I would definitely recommend a trip into the town, which is a mere 8 minute walk, with bars and restaurants and shops. Other places to visit are easily accessible by bus, which are very reasonably priced. I would also recommend a bus ride to Agios Nicolaos, and ferry over to Spinalonga - the island which was formerly a Leper colony. We were sad to leave such a charming place and hope to return in the future.

The room could do with being updated and refreshed, but was very clean. Staff very friendly and service great. Food tasted good but we would like more Greek dishes as we visit Greece also for its marvelous cuisine. Short walk to the beach and shopping area. Many areas to visit via bus - but also car rentals are at very reasonable price range. Many thanks to the hotel manager Kosmas, who is always present - and is very friendly and attentive.

We had a really great stay at Katrin Suites 24/09/23 until 07/10/23 All of the staff where really lovely and welcoming people. The food and service was excellent. The rooms where spotless and cleaned daily. We went on an excursion one morning at 5.00am and they made sure we had breakfast before we left. Nothing was ever too much trouble. We loved it so much we've booked again for next year and can't wait to see everyone again. Lee & Tony (room 403)

The Hotel is located centrally, and is very close to the beach (5 mins). The location allows for daily excursions. We also rented a car for two days and visited Agios Nikolaos, Elounda and Rethymno.The room could do with slight update and refreshed but was very clean. Staff super friendly with great service orientation. Smiling faces everywhere. The food was astonishing, and traditional Greek gyros was the surprise! For ending raki with the manager Kosmos was a daily must. Such a friendly and smiling manager. Thank you Katrin for a wonderful 7 day vacation.

Visited the suites for a week I’m early October. Weather was fabulous. Stalida (Stalis) is a busy looking town just a 30 minute walk from Malia. We were dropped off short of the hotel on a fairly busy main road and were pointed to a gap we could see and told to turn right. The area of the hotel is, well a little untidy but the hotel looks out of place as it looks modern and clean. BUT don’t let that first impression put you off. It’s a very nice , extremely clean and modern hotel. Our room was up some steps with a balcony area at the front shared with 2 other rooms and a view over stalida to the sea.. sort of … at this point I will mention there is some road noise in those front rooms though mist rooms are situated around the pool area. If you have problems with steps this may prove a little difficult. Room was quite spacious, just enough storage space for us. The shower over the bath was awesome ..!! The sink was orange glass type… but quirky 🤣… there were no tea/coffee makings but cups were provided so we took a travel kettle … we met with the manager at his request and suggested this could be an addition to these rooms.. exec rooms have a kettle… we had a fridge and hair dryer…plenty of hangers in the wardrobe too. Air con is free and wi fi perfect. All the staff are absolutely wonderful … they all seemed so happy going about their work and so so friendly …we didn’t use the bar too much but I had the best Long Island iced tea in years from there one evening ..👍 The restaurant was nice and imo the food was excellent .. some weren’t too keen as they wanted Greek food every night.. but each night had a different food theme which we loved.. it was always hot, with a hugely varied choice … there is a choice of 2 main courses each night plus a wonderful buffet. Breakfast was also excellent… thank you to the chef and his wonderful staff … Stalis is a 5/10 minute stroll down the road to the front … it was perfect fir us as it wasn’t the mad summer rush just chilled vibe… most clients this time of year were our sort of age (we will say over 56’s🤣🤣) and a few younger ones too. Pool was small ish but very cold but it woke you up in the morning … nice sun beds around the pool too. We were given the chance to stay our last night in an executive room … it was obvs larger and more storage with a walk in Shower.. which we needed changing really as the shower head was slightly clogged so not very powerful… lovely room tho with large balcony over the pool and lovely sun beds. We were told the rooms around the pool and restaurant may be refurbished over the coming close season months ….. All in all we had a lovely stay in October… weather was great .. food excellent room great… and to be met by the manager who asked for anything he could improve on was just a great touch. Thank you Katrin suites… well worth a visit .

From the busy road outside the hotel looks good but unfortunately the rooms food and pool area were not. This is listed as a 4 star hotel but the manager apologised as he showed us to our room for its condition as they had no money to refurb due to covid. The room had a cracked shower tray. Metal hanging off the sink surround and a badly warped sink surround. The pool area decking was worn and to small. You could hardly walk past the beds. The breakfast was OK although poor selection of bread and poor quality cereals. The evening meals were inedible.and had different theme nights in a country full of beautiful fresh food. Did we need French night Mexican night. The food waste must have been immense. We paid for half board but only ate in the restaurant about 5 times out of the 14 preferring to have fresh cretan food at the many restaurants. The pool bar which is in the middle of the resort was open till 1 am which seems late when it is near everones room. On 2 nights there was people at the bar shouting and screaming at 1.45. I complained to the manager as did many others and it was stopped. Despite all this the hotel is clean we had fresh towels every day and staff were very nice although the manager could be a little overbearing. He came into the dining room on several occasions oh yummy yummy while looking at your food ! This is one of the few hotels I've ever been to I would not revisit

An honest review..more of a 3 star and a 4…the staff are very friendly and the pool is very clean. But the decking around the pool is splintering and old so you have to wear footwear by the pool. A small hotel with a small/medium sized pool. It was ok. Disappointed that it states there’s a spa, gym and sauna but you actually have to pay to use them. Not included in your price. Our room we had issues with the air con switching to heat mode in the night and also the door didn’t close properly but the manager helped get the door fixed. Room itself was ground floor and in the shade and the tv had no English channels. Rooms are standard with some older furnishings. You’re by a busy main road but there’s a safe under crossing further up if you can find it. The beach is too cluttered with sunbeds to walk down really and you don’t get any sunset because of the hills behind you. The sunsets on the other side of the island. Not much gluten free options but the hotel staff did their best to cater as well as they could- thank you. Went half board but didn’t fancy eating at the hotel… The manager is very friendly and welcoming as all their staff are and the cleaners very good too. Stalis didn’t wow me but the hotels friendly and accommodating attitude made up for it. I think the breakfast could be better with maybe fresh orange juice instead of cordial and maybe less sweet stuff, but that’s just my opinion. Overall an alright stay. Thanks
