Restaurant food is really nice the cheff is excellent and the waiters (riva 😘) always on and about to serve your need . Different food every day. And the cleaning lady is a blessing. The whole team. "Currently six days into a two week stay and we are loving it! The rooms are clean and spacious, the pool is perfect for the size of the hotel and the hotel is a ten minute stroll into Stalis, with its fabulous restaurants, bars and beach. Efi and her family that own the hotel are so lovely. They are friendly, helpful and kind. Their food is absolutely delicious, we have lunch and snacks through the day and it is all cooked to order. Looking forward to another week of their fantastic hospitality. Thanks guys, we would thoroughly recommend Dionysos to anyone. We are here as a large family, all the feedback has been very positive."

"The hotel is clean and well-maintained, both in the rooms and throughout the common areas. The staff, especially at the pool bar and in housekeeping, were very friendly and helpful. The nearby beach was beautiful and easily accessible, and the pool itself was nice, offering a pleasant place to relax – if you managed to get a pool bed! Unfortunately, towels were left on pool chairs for hours every day (sometimes up to three hours) to reserve spots, making it difficult for others to find a place. People would claim chairs early in the morning and then disappear to get ready, eat breakfast, and have a relaxing morning knowing their favorite pool spot was waiting for them. This went against hotel policy, but management did nothing, even after we raised the issue. This made mornings stressful for us, as we didn’t want to reserve chairs unfairly but still wanted to secure a place by the pool. The hotel seems to be expanding, adding more rooms, which might worsen the already overcrowded pool situation in the future. Happy hunting! :) Further, the hotel itself feels poorly designed and built, with some areas seeming unbalanced or awkwardly arranged. Our room lacked attention to detail; many things were crooked or improperly installed. The phone and TV didn’t work properly however they did fix the TV quickly after we mentioned it. There was also an issue of outside noise due to the lack of a door between the hallway and bedroom and at one point, the power was cut off without any notice, leaving us without electricity and water. It turned out to be planned maintenance and not an emergency, so advance notice would have been appreciated. Another major concern was the lack of understanding regarding dietary needs. There was confusion over vegan and vegetarian dishes – one menu labeled dishes as vegan, while another labeled them as vegetarian. When we asked the staff, they treated the two as the same thing. "Vegan, vegetarian? It's the same!" This is unacceptable, especially for guests with allergies, like those to dairy. Proper training for the staff is urgently needed to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests. The surrounding area is heavily touristy and lacks the authenticity one might expect from a more traditional Greek experience. It felt more like a typical charter destination than anything unique or local. In summary, while the hotel has some good qualities, such as its cleanliness, friendly staff, and proximity to a nice beach, several issues need to be addressed – particularly the staff’s understanding of dietary needs and the issue with reserving pool beds, as well as the lack of enough beds for all guests, especially with the upcoming expansion of the hotel. Sadly, we will not be returning."

Natasha & Dimitris are a wonderful couple - friendly, helpful, good fun & cook fantastic food, too. You must try the amazing Greek omelette! "We had a fabulous 8 night stay at IResort in Stalis, Crete. From the start to finish nothing was overlooked. The welcome was lovely. We were greeted by a lovely gentleman who gave us all of the details we needed for our stay. He also ensured we had a snack and the mini bar was full as we arrived at the hotel at 4am due to delays. The bar staff / waiters/ waitresses were so attentive and friendly, always a smile and nothing was too much bother. The views from the outside seating area were absolutely gorgeous, overlooking the beach. We visited the Salty Restauraunt and that experience was lovely too, sat at the side of the sea eating delicious food. The all inclusive food was actually really good. We never went hungry, and you can tell that the chefs take pride in what they are delivering for their guests. The spreads each day looked fresh, appetising and tasted that way too. There was a good selection and there were themed nights for food as well. The entertainment team “Pink Waves” were so welcoming and didn’t apply pressure for involvement. Adrianna and Olivia were fabulous and had such a great time being involved in the hotel entertainment in the evening, and I really enjoyed the water aerobics during the mornings. This hotel has made us love Greece even more and Crete is absolutely beautiful. There is also a wonderful excursion place directly opposite the hotel and the two ladies that run that are just a delight to deal with. Overall from cleaning staff, reception staff, waiting staff, entertainment, literally everyone we came into contact with has been instrumental in making this such a beautiful holiday. The room was always cleaned to a high standard and the beds were super comfy. The amenities in the room were fab - although we did have to ask for an iron and ironing board as this wasn’t standard - there was no extra cost for this and they let us keep hold of them for the entire holiday."

"Had a fantastic week away here with the family. All meals were buffet style with loads of choices for all tastes. Plenty of vegetarian options for the wife and more than enough meat for me and the lads. All staff were lovely and the resort itself is spotless. Pool areas are great but if you want a sunbed you probably need to get up about 6am and stick your towel down. I highly recommend this resort."

"We have just spent a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable stay at the Hotel Thisvi in Stalida, Crete. This is a small family owned and run hotel that still retains a traditional feel. The rooms are comfortable with a fridge and aircon and ours had a beautiful sea view. A great continental buffet breakfast and Free WiFi around the hotel and in the fab pool area which overlooks the sea. The location of the hotel is perfect, about a 5 minute walk from the main bars and restaurants but lovely and peaceful in the evenings. The family that run the hotel are so lovely, quiet but kind, generous and helpful. If you are looking for a peaceful, simple traditional Greek hotel in a stunning location then look no further. We will be returning in future years. 😊"
