Filia Hotel Apartments

This hotel is amazing, you are welcomed straight away and made to feel part of the family. The accommodation is perfect and the food amazing. I have never felt so relaxed being part of a hotel environment and have loved my 1st stay in Crete so much I will be coming back as soon as possible! Perfect hosts perfect stay.

Book direct as the Jet2 rooms are very poor standard with a tiny bathroom and Aircon that barely worked, located on a separate block, we paid to move and were thankful to Michael. Otherwise this is a friendly hotel in a good location for access to Stalis.

We have recently returned from an 11 night stay at the Filia. Wonderful welcome and a drink on arrival with owner Michael who was the perfect host in showing us the hotel, our room and providing tips for travel and trips. Our room was in the older block but was comfortable and had a balcony with a side seaview. Although the bathroom was small and in need of upgrading, it suited us fine. The shower was good and hot so no issues. Breakfast was fine and evening meals, when we ate in, were well cooked and enjoyable. The restaurant itself, like the pools and poolsides and indeed the hotel generally were spotlessly clean. With a couple of exceptions the hotel staff were generally cheerful and helpful. They do work so hard and it is appreciated. The bar too was fine with very reasonable prices. Billy the barman is a very gregarious and cheerful soul and keeps the guests amused. The only negative in truth, was the music at the bar which was played loud and proud until 2 or 3am! Some pop, a lot of rave, techno and house music. It could have been Malia! Not easy sleeping through that especially with a window open for some relief from the warm nights! My impression was that many other guests were similarly sleepless in the night. Turn it down a bit Billy! Overall, however, the hotel benefits from lovely staff, pleasant rooms at a reasonable cost, good food and well maintained pools. It’s very well situated for the main town too, just a few minutes walk. away. Many thanks Michael, we thoroughly enjoyed Stalis.

Beautiful hotel and lovely people but access to some of the rooms is awkward with many steps - my husband was awaiting a knee operation and the access was a problem carrying cases - on our way out of the hotel on the last day we had to drag our cases up a steep hill to get to the coach

Utterly fabulous family run accommodation we had the best time here Accommodation was immaculate pool.was fantastic the food was absolutely divine and the service was second to none The night entertainment was provided by Billy and whilst we were there we never had an early night sometimes last to bed 🤣🤣Truly amazing family

We booked a family suite with the mezzanine floor. The room was spotless, light and airy and comfortable with an amazing shower. We were on a half board basis and the food was all good with plenty of options even for my fussy son. The main pool area is also spotless with a chilled out atmosphere and really comfy sunbeds. Always got a bed but you had the usual people who put their towels out in the morning and don't venture out until late afternoon which is frustrating. We spent lots of time at the beach which is a 5 minute walk and was so lovely with a gentle sloping beach and crystal clear water. Lots of the bars offer free sunbeds and waiter service which we enjoyed! We travelled to Heraklion from the bus stop at the top of fhe main road. There is an electronic ticket machine which allows you to pick your language which was really handy. It was 11 euros each way for all 4 of us in a air conditioned bus saving a fortune on an organised trip. The staff were all so welcoming and friendly. We have never returned to the same hotel before but are looking at booking again for next year as it ticked all our boxes.

Just returned from another great holiday at the Filia. As ever, lovely room, great food and a very warm welcome. The new breakfast/dining room was lovely, well ran and we enjoyed breakfast every morning. Our room was spotlessly cleaned every day by the friendliest of cleaning ladies. Thank you to Manos, Billy, Marina and Bobby for a great family holiday and thank you Michael for making us all so welcome. P.S Had a look at the new Filia Luxury Suits, 800m along the main road. George kindly gave me a guided tour -Beautiful ! This hotel certainly has the WOW! factor, good luck with the new venture

Been here 3 years in a row with 2 children. Amazing atmosphere and friendliness as this is a family run hotel. Good buffet style breakfasts. It's like a second home! Fun nights at the bar. The maisonettes are very clean and comfortable with regular towel and linen changes

Lovely place to stay, very clean inside and out. We did bed breakfast but there is a half board option. We booked direct with the Hotel and Jet 2flights. They have their own private transfer to and from airport. The staff are amazing and can’t do enough for you it’s a family run hotel and they all work very long and hard and still have a smile on their especially Billy behind the pool bar very funny kind man. We couldn’t fault it although some people have issues but they are always sorted. Highly recommend staying here. Greek people are de the nicest people in the world for us live them and here.
