Just returned from one of the best holidays I have ever had and this was because we stayed at this hotel. From the beginning staff were amazing, friendly and genuinely wanted their guests to enjoy themselves - and we really did. The hotel sensibly sites all of its bars and the restaurant looking out over the sea and there are loungers/parasols for hotel guests on a lovely sandy beach with gentle waves lapping it from the clear agean sea. The beach shelves very gradually making it ideal for kids. There are three pools and one looks out over the beach and sea, horizon style. We stayed in an annexe building 2 minutes away from the main hotel which was lovely and quiet. Our room was spotless and as we arrived very late some food and drink had been left for us to tide us over until breakfast. We went all inlusive but never tired of the food on offer. Decent baked beans for breakfast every day, fresh salads and fruits at lunch with a good variety for dinner every night including roasted meats alternating so that it would be roast pork one night, roast chicken, lamb or beef with delicious sides and the usual chips and pasta for the fussy eaters. But that was only part of what was on offer with stews and themed meals available often. he poolside snack bar was a special favourite of ours as their tuna baguettes were scrumptious and Eva who made them prided herslef on the fact that we kept coming back for them! So many staff, Konstantina, Maria A and Kaula to name a few were wonderful as were may others whose names I didn't write down; one of the chefs gave me a recipe for his herby potatoes, something that we particularly enjoyed on the menu. The A La Carte dining experience was very nice too, more refined and luxurious feeling than the main restaurant (as you would expect) but still warm and welcoming. The local beer was great, the wine was ok and the cocktails delicious. All the staff who worked in the bar were attentive and produced drinks with cheeriness, I didn't remember to write dfown any names (all those delicious cocktails!) but I have no complaints about anyone who served us throughout our stay. Alongside all of these amazing things there were some additional courtesies from the hotel that showed their dedication to their guests like printing out our transfer details for us and making a room available to have a shower before dinner because our pick up was late in the evening. All staff spoke a number of languages and everyone from reception to all the bars and eateries were warm and happy - they seemed to get on well with each other and the hotel managers so the happy atmosphere really came across in their attitude to us. If I return to Crete I would happily choose this hotel again and I will recommend it to friends and family too.
