Maric Park Cottages

Having just returned from my second stay at Maric Park cottages, I'm pleased to note that it's been as pleasant to stay in during winter as it was during the previous summer - perhaps even more-so, thanks to the warmth of the fireplace that's perfectly situated in the center of the cottage. Location-wise the area is perfect, only a few minutes drive to arrive the center of town from where it is straightforward to explore the surrounding district. And yet, it's far enough out of town that the natural peacefulness is unmatched and is one of my favourite aspects of the stay. A short uphill bushwalk situated at the back of the property is the best way to round out the afternoons and allows you to watch the sun set over the western mountains whilst experiencing a quietness like nothing else. The cottages themselves are both clean, well-furnished and comfortable, and stocked with enough utensils should you wish to cook meals rather than eat out. The owners regularly checked in to make sure that there was nothing additional needed, which is appreciated. Look forward to the friendly face of their lovely dog at your doorstep to greet you in the mornings. Definitely a whole-hearted recommendation from me and I'm already wishing I had time to return again.

We stayed two nights on our way back to Sydney from the Sunshine Coast. First visit to Stanthorpe and to Maric Park Cottages. We can highly recommend a stay. The cottages are located on a lovely property about 5 km out of town. And, as noted in all reviews, the owners make sure that the cottages are immaculate and welcoming. They have the wood heater going when you arrive and on return from your exploration of the Granite Belt. A lovely touch at this time of year!

What a perfect weekend escape, you could spend the entire weekend just staying at the cottages not even exploring all the gems that Stanthorpe have to offer! My partner and I absolutely loved our stay and Marion is the most accommodating hostess, you will not be disappointed. Can not wait to head back out & would highly recommend :)

My husband and I have just had the most wonderful 3 day stay in this wonderful place.The cottage was so comfortable and beautifully appointed that we wanted for nothing. Such a great retreat to return home to after taking in all the great sights that Stanthorpe has to offer. Thank you Marion and Eric our lovely hosts for making it very memorable and it was lovely to be so eagerly greeted by Morocco, their beautiful dog every afternoon.

What a little gem. We had a fantastic few days staying here, a home away from home. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. Loved coming back in the late afternoon after enjoying what the region has to offer, and enjoying drinks on the deck while the log burner warmed up inside. A great location out of town, so peaceful, a great place to enjoy the sunsets. Marion and Eric are the perfect hosts along with their lovely dog Morocco. Thank you.

My partner and I spent a weekend at Maric Park Cottages and we were both instantly at home in the beautiful surroundings. The owners we're so accommodating and their adorable doggy was so welcoming. When we arrived we were instantly greeted with a friendly smile and a wagging tail 🐕 In the morning, we enjoyed a leisurely bush walk to a gorgeous lookout on the property. The trail continues past the lookout and features some beautiful rock formation and wild flowers. Overall, the trail was picturesque and our furry tour guide was very experienced and enthusiastic 🐶 Our stay was absolutely wonderful and we thank the owners providing such a relaxing weekend getaway.

My partner and I had the wonderful experience of staying overnight at Maric Park Cottages. Marion and Eric were lovely hosts and the assorted animals visiting us and making us feel very welcome were superb. Thank you Morocco for taking me for a walk to show me around the Hood! The cottages were immaculate and roomy. Such a beautiful place to get away from it all and enjoy the serenity.

Maric Park was incredible, very quiet, great location. Very handy to all regions. Our cottage was immaculately prepared, plenty of firewood which we used non stop. They don’t call it brass monkey weather for nothing. Waking up in the morning to clean crisp air is something we will definitely be coming back for.

Maric Park Cottages were perfect for our winter getaway. The cottage was very neat and clean, all you needed with a perfect fireplace. The deck was great for watching the sunsets and getting a glimpse of the morning frosts and wildlife while enjoying a cuppa. Massive bathrooms and comfortable King size bed. The host were very accommodating in letting us explore their property. Will definitely keep in mind for future travel through the region.
