The Vines Motel & Cottages ★★★★
"The vines is a nice place and lovely.people however, this time wow I am.a very understanding person, but it sounded like a person at the hotel had medical problems, because he had a cough, that was so bad.it actually was not comfortable staying there."
Honeysuckle Cottages ★★★★
"We had three nights in Cottage 6. The breakfast basket was delightful with homemade marmalade, croissants and fresh bread from the local bakery. The fireplace was stacked ready to go on the first night and the outside box was restocked each day. Advice was given on all local attractions and restaurants. The cottage was well equipped and extremely clean. It is situated just off the highway (but no traffic noise), close to everything ...even McDonald's!"
Country Style Holiday Park ★★★
"My wife and I went to experience some winter cold, and Glen Aplin and Stanthorpe did not disappoint. The wintertime is not the peak for caravaning, and the holiday park was not crowded, but the facilities were excellent and the staff extremely helpful. We could not fault anything and enjoyed our stay enormously."
Logger's Rest ★★★★
"Logger’s rest was a great stay. The hosts are exceptionally friendly and interesting to talk to. The room was cozy and comfortable. The breakfast was well prepared."
Cypress Ridge Cottages ★★★★
"All so easy. Carol met us at the office and gave us the key. Quiet bush setting. Cabin was cosy. Location close to wineries, Ballandean, Girraween, Tenterfield and other attractions."
Ridgemill Escape ★★★★
The Farm. Entire house country stay ★★★
High Street Motor Inn & Steakhouse ★★★★
A Stanthorpe Getaway ★★★★
"We were looking forward to a relaxed family getaway for my mum’s 80th, but several issues affected our stay. The inside fridge stopped working on the first night. With a group of 10 this caused a huge disruption. We had to move all food to an outside much smaller drinks fridge and constantly juggle food outside and buy ice to keep our food cold. This was especially frustrating as we also needed to keep my Mum ‘s medication refrigerated and because of her mobility constraints she couldn’t access the outdoor fridge safely at night. We initially tried to resolve this issue by suggesting the host drop some eskies around to us we were informed they live 3 1/2 hours away and couldn’t respond promptly. When we attempted to discuss a small compensation amount over the phone we were advised this request would need to be put in writing. After providing a detailed account compensation was denied and we were told the outdoor fridge should have been sufficient. A replacement fridge was offered for our last night but only if the host could arrive early in the morning to reassess the broken fridge. Given it was our last night and we wanted to minimise the disruption to my mum first thing in the morning we thought it best just to struggle on. We also had water leaking from a skylight onto one of the beds during g a rainfall Overall the lack of timely support and the refusal to offer minor compensation for a key amenity failure left us disappointed. Future guest should be aware that if something goes wrong assistance is not readily available as hosts live several hours away."
