GGuest UserThe owner provided free pick-up and drop-off service, taking us to the scenic area at 6 AM. It was a very satisfying trip.
The accommodation was also excellent; we could see the mountains right from the window, very comfortable.
I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Huashan.

RRΛCHΛTΛI stayed here for 2 nights and had a wonderful experience. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were very friendly, and the food was delicious.
The location is a bit far from the city center, but it’s close to the Huashan scenic area, making it perfect if you plan to visit the mountain. If you’re looking for a quiet and peaceful environment, this accommodation is an excellent choice.
The place feels homely and welcoming. They provide free shuttle services to the Huashan ticket office and the train station, which is very convenient. The common area on the first floor is also very relaxing.
Tip: Call the accommodation in advance to arrange a pick-up from the train station. Didi taxi drivers at the station tried to overcharge me, so the free shuttle is a much better option.
There is also a small strip mall near the Huashan ticket office with more shops and restaurants if you need anything.

GGuest UserWe took the high-speed rail from Jingzhou, Hubei to the hotel where we stayed on the first night in Huashan, preparing to climb Huashan the next morning.
The hotel is very close to Yuquanyuan, the starting point of the hiking trip, about a five-minute walk away.
The shop owner was very enthusiastic and took the initiative to introduce the precautions for mountain climbing and told me where to have a cheap breakfast.

GGuest UserI traveled alone. As a student, I always stay in hostels when I travel, and I've stayed in many different places, but this one is the best I've ever stayed in. The owners are incredibly kind, an elderly couple. I stayed for three days. One time, I saw the grandfather still explaining hiking routes to guests at midnight. On the morning of my hike, he even gave me a pair of gloves. The hostel has three floors, and the third floor has a pool table, which I played a game on that night. Before I left, the grandmother even called me back to give me a bottle of water. It really made me feel the warmth of home, even while traveling alone. However, I do have a small suggestion: the beds in the hostel shake slightly. I suggest putting a shoe rack outside the door, otherwise, it can get smelly after everyone takes their shoes off in the room. Personally, these are minor issues. I just hope this hostel continues to improve.

GGuest UserRoom is spacious and reasonably clean. Bed is comfortable. A family operation, is literally 3-5 mins walk from the Tourist Service Area, where one can purchase the entry ticket and is the entry point to ascend the north peak (including to reach the north peak cable car). If you prefer to hike all the way up instead of cable up, the start of walking trail is slightly more than 30mins walk away but seems like there is a free shuttle bus that would transfer people between this Tourist Service Area and the start of the walk trail. If you come by ”normal” train, you are about 10mins drive away. The husband of the hotel provides a one time service to either pick up or drop off to the train station. I suggest to use it for the latter as you would have hoards of cabbies trying to bring you from station. Currently the area where is the hotel is partially obscured by a major road expansion but don't let the cabby coax you to cancel this booking and move to their recommended hotels in the more touristic ”village centre”. On paper it sounds great but I find most eateries there sell the same choice of food and goods. For food, the wife of the hotel also operates a eatery on the ground floor of the hotel which I find tasty and reasonably priced. Note that this is budget hotel of simple fittings but I personally find of good value for money for a couple of nights after a long day up in the mountain. (I believe parking might be free there too but do check with owner to confirm).

GGuest UserI highly recommend Futing B&B to anyone visiting Huashan!
1. We were a family of four, and it was hot, so we had a lot of laundry to do. The hostess provided us with a washing machine and laundry detergent for free. We hung our clothes out and went out to eat. It started raining midway, and the hostess even took the initiative to collect all our clothes! Love it!
2. Futing B&B is in a great location, only about 10 meters from the trailhead, and the free shuttle bus to the north or west is only a one-minute walk away! I contacted the hostess in advance to let her know the shuttle schedule, and she was spot on, waiting outside. As soon as we came out, she was there—great! Not only did it save us money on taxi fares, but it also saved us the hassle of having to find a taxi and having to haul our luggage around.
3. As soon as we checked in, the hostess gave each of us water, which quenched our thirst. Later, before climbing Huashan, I went to buy gloves, and the hostess generously said she'd give them to us without paying. I was delighted but also a bit worried. As the saying goes, a little kindness begets a grudge. I wondered if a guest might one day harbor resentment for not receiving the same treatment as I had. But the owner wasn't worried at all, working with sincerity and passion. This wasn't just magnanimity; it was also a display of courage.
On August 8th, we checked into the hotel, but that evening, Huashan officially announced its closure. So I refunded my August 9th Huashan tickets and planned to travel to Luoyang the next day. Later, the owner's wife told us that the park would most likely reopen on August 9th. She even helpfully booked tickets for us, telling us we could enter as long as we had tickets. We finally entered the park at 10 a.m. and returned to the B&B at 8 p.m., enjoying the breathtaking scenery of Huashan! (p2-p4) That evening, we were starving and struggling to find a good, reasonably priced restaurant. The owner readily accompanied us to a restaurant across the street, where we enjoyed a delicious meal. (p6)
There are many other small details, too numerous to mention. I believe these small details that make people feel so welcome are definitely because the proprietress is such a nice person, and when a nice person runs a restaurant, the quality is guaranteed to be excellent.
(Also: The last picture is the restaurant we found on our first day in Huashan. Don't eat there; the food is terrible and expensive!

GGuest UserWuyunfeng Hotel was a good place to stop along the way. It was quiet and you could watch the sunset. I upgraded to a six-person room, but that night, there was only one person in the room. The bedding was clean. There was a drink station next to the hotel where you could make hot drinks. The cup of eight-treasure porridge I bought was delicious.

SSusuxnThe capsule hotel is right inside the Dongfeng Hotel, so the location is fantastic. You can literally step out onto the platform and watch the sunrise. The capsules themselves are new and kept very clean. The views from Dongfeng are absolutely stunning, with panoramic mountains below – it's so picturesque, you almost expect to see a hero's shadow pass by.

GGuest UserThis is a very basic hostel type accommodation with very few amenities but in a location that is hard to beat. Right next to the west peak in the same building as a temple with the trail going right through the building (under the reception/restaurant). The pictures are taken at sunset from the peak about 3 minutes from the hostel.
The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. The hostel shares the public toilets in the building complex. If you are ok with very basic accommodations but are looking for location, this could be for you.
