Amazing
GGuest UserVery nice, appears brand new. Cottage was very nice, modern, cozy and new. Only complaint was we never saw staff in the office entire 4 nights we were there, so checkin was a little confusing, no one ever cleaned the room and we didn’t know where to take our garbage which started to pile up after a few days. We had enough coffee for 2 nights but after that, had to get dressed, put on winter coat and go find local coffee shop (which turned out excellent btw, Sisters Coffee).
Understand this may be part of the bargain, but not much of a bargain given the room rate.
GGuest UserPros: Spacious and clean rooms. Conveniently located just off the highway but far enough to avoid most traffic noise on 97.. The breakfast was enjoyable, featuring scrambled eggs, potatoes, and a self-make waffle station.
Cons: Severe, disruptive room noise. Throughout the entire night, an intermittent, guttural, rattling wheeze—sounding exactly like a struggling car engine—kept us awake.
What made this particularly frustrating was the lack of proactive management. I submitted a quiet-room request upon booking (which went unanswered) and reiterated it at check-in. Around midnight, unable to bear the noise, we asked for help and a friendly staff member kindly provided us with extra earplugs, but they weren't enough to block it out. When we reported the issue to a third staff member during checkout, she gave an emotionless response, said she would ”take a note,” and immediately walked away.
The hotel was not at full occupancy; the upper floor was completely dark, and the parking lot was less than half full at both 10 PM (check-in) and 8 AM. We travel extensively—both globally and locally in places like Bend—and have never encountered this. Had the hotel simply given me a heads-up or accommodated my request, I could have brought my industrial-strength earplugs from home. A little communication at no extra cost goes a long way.
TTINGTINGOne stop on the way to the car, the hotel is a standard small town supporting standard, it is quite worth recommending. The room was clean, the front desk staff was very nice and the breakfast was ok. It takes about 5-6 minutes to drive from the city center. Bend feels that it is a small town that is developing rapidly. The atmosphere is good, so you can go shopping.
GGuest UserDecent for the price but they kept my deposit. I called to see why it wasn’t refunded and the gentleman that answered told me the manager was gonna call me back but never did.
AAnonymous UserThe hotel in Oregon is very close to the station, and the bus is actually free.
Environment: good
Hygienic: OK, very clean
Service: Good
Facilities: Good microwave on the second floor, refrigerator is standard
GGuest UserThe room was clean and comfortable. However, the hair dryer was broken, and unfortunately I didn't check it before washing my hair, so I only found out afterward. I hope this can be fixed for future guests.
GGunterThe hotel was fine enough. Bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. The services were lacking - no continental breakfast even though it was listed on the welcome sheet and the in room tv had very limited channels and poor quality. Would’ve liked to have had dish or satellite to watch more and better quality tv. The room was large but not clean. Big pile of dirt on the carpet that was obvious. It was an okay stay overall.
