4-Star Hotels in Changshu

We enjoyed our stay at Mercure Changshu Riverside Hotel for 6 nights. We didn't feel lost though our Mandarin is super weak.Xiao Juan （小娟）is super helpful, assisting with the apps on booking ride hailing, recommending my wife on places of interest to visit while I am at work, and economy way to travel around. The room has beautiful views, rooms are big, and pretty modern technology with bidet seat, and voice command AI device provided in the room.

Facilities: The hotel's basement level has direct access to the parking lot, and the rooftop features a laundry room, gym, and restaurant. The laundry room offers free washing and drying, and the staff are there to help. Fantastic! Environment: The room's design is warm and comfortable, with a wood-like décor. The separate wet and dry bathroom features a smart toilet, which is simply stunning. The TV comes with a huge Bluetooth speaker, perfect for watching movies and listening to music. Cleanliness: The hotel's signature fragrance is pleasant upon entering, and the hotel and rooms are brand new and spotless! Service: Every staff member was friendly and proactive in providing assistance. The bed and pillows were so comfortable that I even bought two at the front desk before leaving. Highly recommended! 10 out of 10!

The facilities are really clean, and since there is a shopping mall in the same building, you can have meals and do some light shopping. The view from the room is also fantastic.

The staff even with limited english were amazing. They helped us navigate a problem we faced while traveling. They were extremely patient and understanding. The cleaning service was also really efficient. The room was quite nice as well.

The second stay, it feels very good. The hotel is on the edge of the Yangtze River, with fresh air and cool green plants around the hotel. The environment of the hotel is very powerful, and it has always been the place to enjoy the stay. The hotel did not increase the price during May 1st, the service was intimate, the family room was booked, and the front desk saw that we were three people staying at the check-in. We also sent a breakfast coupon for free. We would like to praise the hotel's humanized service. We will come to Changshu in the future and give priority to this hotel.

The hotel is relatively close to the Shajiabang scenic area, and it only takes 30 minutes to walk there. The hotel environment is good, with a beautiful koi pond. It is also relatively clean. But the decoration should be relatively old. There is only one socket at the head of the bed, which is not convenient for two people to charge their phones. There is no multi-hole socket provided at the front desk. This is quite backward. The bathroom still has a bathtub shower. If you encounter an elderly person, climbing in and out, it feels unsafe. The hotel has dinner, but many dishes are gone around 7 o'clock. Pay attention to less salt, and the dishes are still salty. The steamed white silk fish is very good, and my family praised it unanimously. The hotel service is quite good. The earrings were left at the hotel. After calling, the front desk helped to express it.

The location is decent, and the room is reasonably priced. It's a good choice for a trip during the Dragon Boat Festival, as it's relatively close to attractions. The receptionist was very helpful, introducing many nearby attractions and restaurants, as well as detailed directions to nearby shops and routes. Breakfast was average, but at least filling. The prices in the surrounding area were surprisingly affordable, so much so that I later drove all the way from Shanghai to do some shopping. It's very close to the museum, Yanzi Tomb, and Zeng Zhao Garden; just across the street from the Fangji Beef restaurant and the ready-made food stall next door are a perfect match!

Facilities: OK, the hotel has everything it should have for this price. It's average, although it's a bit old, but it's well maintained. Hygiene: It's clean. I'm particularly impressed by the super high water pressure. I've never stayed in a hotel with higher water pressure than this one. You must control the direction of the shower head when you hold it in your hand, otherwise it will happily rush out. Environment: Great, very satisfied with this. It's located in the downtown area, close to Fangta Garden, Zhaoyuan Zengyuan, and Confucian Temple, especially Fangta Garden, which you can walk to. In addition, there are Yaohan, Qinhu, and Impression City nearby, which are very convenient for eating, drinking and shopping. Yaohan is a place where you can take a walk at night. Service: Good, timely response to requests, and positive and enthusiastic attitude. In short, if you want to visit the attractions in the city, it is highly recommended to stay here.

I stayed at this hotel for the second time. I chose it mainly because the transportation is very convenient, the location is excellent, the price is high, it is super close to Yanyuan, and there are many dining options around. Nearby is Tongjiang Road, Leading Street, Fangta, and walking to Weng Tongxu Memorial Hall is also very close. The hotel has a super large parking lot and parking is very convenient. Although the housing facilities are relatively general, the bathroom is still relatively large and the room is relatively spacious. We carelessly forgot things in the refrigerator, checked out, and then contacted the front desk, they helped us take things out and save them at the front desk, and we want to praise the service!
