"Amazing place to stay in Changshu. The hotel was comfortable, clean and well-maintained with a peaceful environment. The overall service, room condition and hotel atmosphere were excellent and it felt like a very good choice for staying in Changshu. As Muslim travelers, one of the biggest blessings for us was that there was a Turkish halal food restaurant nearby in Rainbow Plaza just 15 minutes walk from the hotel. This made our stay much easier and more convenient because most of the other halal food options were around 40–50 minutes away by car. Having a halal restaurant close to the hotel was a huge relief and really improved our overall experience. The hotel location was also convenient and the surrounding area felt nice and comfortable. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely recommend Grand Rezen Hotel Merryland Changshu to families, business travelers, and especially Muslim travelers who are looking for a comfortable hotel with at least one nearby halal food option"

"Although the room facilities are old, they have everything they need. I asked the girl at the front desk for a quiet room, and she gave me one on the 11th floor, which was actually a bit noisy. The bedding was average, not very comfortable. The bathroom was an okay size, with toothbrushes, combs and soap provided. There was also a small refrigerator in the room. The breakfast was mainly Chinese, with light white porridge and sweet glutinous rice porridge, both of which were delicious. There were boiled eggs, tea eggs, fried rice, fried noodles, fried dough sticks, siomai, steamed dumplings, various small buns and small cakes, as well as some vegetables and fruits. But there is actually a Gao Gao noodle restaurant near the hotel that tastes okay. I visited Yushan and Shanghu in Changshu. I think Shanghu is more worth visiting. The scenery is more beautiful and there are not many people."

The hotel's excellent location makes it convenient for shopping and sightseeing, and the comprehensive facilities offer great value for money, making it a top choice for any trip. There are many night markets and bars nearby, and the receptionist even gave me a bottle of water to drink on my way out – a thoughtful touch. I also visited Shanghu Scenic Area, which boasts beautiful scenery and a rich cultural heritage, making it a truly perfect trip."

The staff were friendly and provided us with extra toiletries and a snack gift bag upon departure. Many attractions in Changshu are located near the hotel, making it convenient for getting around. Overall, a very good experience."

"I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Changshu five years ago and had a good impression of the hotel. It may be a bit old now, and there are not many guests staying in the hotel. I think all aspects of the hotel are OK, but it was a bit cold during breakfast. The weather has been several degrees below zero recently, and it is a bit unreasonable that the air conditioner was not turned on."

"To be honest, I was quite disappointed this time. I booked the Regency Club, but this was the worst afternoon tea and happy hour I've experienced at any Hyatt I've stayed at. For afternoon tea, besides drinks, there was only one type of pastry in the fridge. For dinner, there was only one hot dish each of beef, mushrooms, hash browns, Korean rice cakes, and rice. It's the poorest selection I've encountered in any Hyatt property so far."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A hidden gem at Shanghu Resort! The Huajianfu Yanboli is absolutely stunning! This Suzhou-style garden courtyard is built right by the water, with white walls, black tiles, small bridges, and flowing streams. The lake view is incredible, and the environment is serene and tranquil, offering an immersive taste of Jiangnan charm. The service is attentive and meticulous; our butler was thoughtful and polite. The room was clean and comfortable, the minibar was free to enjoy, and the daily fruit and evening sweet soup added a wonderful touch to the ambiance. Breakfast offered a rich variety, with authentic and delicious local specialties. Guests get free entry to Shanghu Scenic Area and can also enjoy lakeside cycling and boating on the lake, with plenty of leisure and entertainment options. It's a top choice for family trips, with excellent environment, service, and facilities, offering incredible value for money. Highly recommend staying here when visiting Changshu!"

"Upon entering the room on the first day, the floor was covered in long women's hair, indicating it hadn't been cleaned properly after the previous guests left. There was no room service, and despite requesting housekeeping, it never returned all day. I didn't see any front desk staff during my three-day stay. This is the worst guesthouse I've stayed at in this price range recently."

"The hotel's decor is quite old, and the hallways are dim, revealing the appearance of a former government-run guesthouse. The room's windows face inward, offering no view and being quite dim. The room is spacious, and the bathroom, shower, and bathtub are both large. However, the furniture is noticeably older, with paint peeling from the cabinet doors and hangers. The provided electric kettle was incredibly dirty, with scale lining the inside and the lid stained from not wiping it. I didn't use it for several days; it was so filthy that I decided I wouldn't stay again. Since it was my first stay and my schedule was tight, I planned to eat at the hotel, but there were virtually no dishes suitable for one person. I was later told that the hotel primarily caters to groups, so each dish is usually large, not enough for one person. So, for the next few days, I ordered takeout. I won't comment on the hotel's breakfast buffet."

I have stayed for the second time and there is a long private room. Breakfast is also very favorable. The washing machine is automatically dried. It can be worn directly in the morning and it takes three hours to dry. The only thing that needs to be improved is that the main light is a bit dark, it is recommended to stay!"
