Nice and peaceful homestay with a friendly owner that was very helpful with our itinerary planning. Food by the owner's mum was also very delicious. Room was big and clean and very comfortable. Highly recommend!

SunsuntravelWe stayed at Jiuhuashan Alley Homestay (Huachengsi Branch) with our family, and it was without question one of the most satisfying accommodations we have experienced in recent years. From the very beginning to the moment we checked out, everything felt thoughtful, well-organized, and genuinely welcoming. What really sets this place apart is not just the beautiful property, but the level of care and service provided throughout the entire stay.
Even before our arrival, the host proactively contacted us via WeChat to confirm details and assist with planning. Communication was extremely smooth and responsive — no matter what time of day we had questions, we always received quick and helpful replies. For a destination like Jiuhua Mountain, where logistics and routes can feel overwhelming for first-time visitors, this kind of support makes a huge difference and immediately puts you at ease.
The room itself exceeded our expectations. It was spacious, bright, and very comfortable, with a layout that worked perfectly for a family stay. Unlike many homestays that feel cramped, this room had plenty of space to relax, unpack, and truly rest. The bedding was clean and soft, and the overall atmosphere was calm and quiet, allowing us to sleep extremely well. Housekeeping standards were excellent — everything felt carefully maintained and spotlessly clean.
One of the highlights of our stay was the afternoon tea, which was freely available and not limited or rushed. This wasn’t just a symbolic offering; it was something you could genuinely enjoy at your own pace. Sitting down in such a peaceful environment with tea and snacks after a day of sightseeing was incredibly relaxing. It added a sense of warmth and hospitality that you don’t often find, especially in scenic-area accommodations.
Throughout our stay, the host remained available and attentive without ever being intrusive. Whether we needed advice on sightseeing routes, dining recommendations, or small practical help, everything was handled patiently and efficiently. You truly feel that the host cares about your experience, not just about running a business. Traveling with family can sometimes be stressful, but staying here made everything feel effortless.
The location is another strong advantage. Situated near Huacheng Temple, the homestay is in a quiet area that feels removed from crowds, yet it’s still very convenient for visiting key temples and attractions. Evenings were peaceful and silent, which is exactly what you want after a full day at Jiuhua Mountain. The surrounding atmosphere perfectly matches the calm and reflective nature of the destination.
What impressed us most was the overall sense of being well taken care of. This is not a place where service is performative or scripted — it feels sincere and consistent. From the communication, to the comfort of the room, to the little details like afternoon tea and thoughtful guidance, everything worked together to create a genuinely memorable stay.
In summary, Jiuhuashan Alley Homestay offers not only comfortable accommodation, but also warmth, reliability, and peace of mind. If you are traveling with family, visiting Jiuhua Mountain for the first time, or simply looking for a place where you can truly relax and feel supported, this is an excellent choice. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a high-quality, worry-free experience.

This B&B I stayed in during my visit to Jiuhua Mountain was a pleasant surprise. The price/performance ratio was very high. The yard was beautifully decorated. From the small details, you can see that the store owner was very attentive to the environment. It made me feel comfortable physically and mentally. I loved it! The room was big and quiet, and it was also close to the Jiuhua Mountain service area. It is a must-stay when you go to Jiuhua Mountain!

Guest UserThe B&B is located by the mountains and lakes, with a beautiful environment and is very quiet. The meals are delicious and reasonably priced. The housekeeper has a very good service attitude. She assisted us with the luggage and introduced us to the precautions for burning incense and worshipping Buddha in Jiuhua Mountain. She was very considerate. The room was clean and hygienic, with plenty of hot water. You can watch movies in the lobby, which is very warm

Gerrard5The hotel environment is exceptionally good. The rooms are clean and tidy, with warm color schemes that look very comfortable. You can even see the scenery of Mount Jiuhua from the hotel! The owner and staff are very enthusiastic and provide excellent service, explaining the best routes for a pilgrimage to Mount Jiuhua to every guest. The hotel's breakfast is also quite delicious, with a good variety of food.

Anonymous UserI chose the family room at Yuanhang Hotel based on Ctrip reviews and its proximity to the Cultural Park. The room itself was decent.
However, the hotel seemed to have very few guests, resulting in no air conditioning in common areas like the lobby and corridors. It was sweltering hot the moment you stepped out of your room. Additionally, our room was quite a distance from the elevator, and we'd be drenched in sweat just walking there.
While I can understand conserving electricity due to low occupancy, the entire hotel felt deserted. Breakfast was also very subpar, with one of the salted duck eggs even being spoiled.
The only redeeming quality was the Chinese restaurant, which offered good food and generous portions.
Despite the staff being very friendly, the overall state of the hotel's facilities severely impacted our stay, making for an unpleasant experience.
I had initially hoped to walk to the Cultural Park, but it was too hot, so we ended up taking a taxi for a flat rate of 10 RMB. This effectively negated the benefit of the hotel's location for walking.
I believe this hotel might be more suitable for guests visiting Mount Jiuhua who prioritize being close to the visitor center.

The room is great. The duplex room has three beds and can accommodate four people or more.
The boss is also very enthusiastic and provides transportation to and from Jiuhua Street or places to eat every day, which is very convenient. Since the folk custom is in a relatively secluded place, you don't have to worry about people or cars disturbing your peace early in the morning.
There is also a swimming pool in the B&B, but it cannot be used in winter. It should be good in summer.
Breakfast is simple but delicious. The eldest sister is very enthusiastic and cooks noodles and omelettes for us every day, which is delicious. There are also corn, steamed buns, tea eggs, steamed buns, etc. Although there are not many choices, they are all delicious. And the eldest sister is also very enthusiastic!

Guest UserThe hotel's location is great, and the environment is pleasant. It's a convenient 15-minute walk from the hotel to Dayuan Cultural Park on the right, and just a 10-minute ride to the Mount Jiuhua scenic area shuttle on the left. From the rooms on the third floor, you can even see the 99-meter bronze statue of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.
