We had a great stay at Miharuya Hotel. The staff were incredibly kind and made us feel really welcome. Izu Atagawa is also such a cute little town, which made the experience even more special.

The room we stayed in was very big, a Western-style room with two mattresses and a massage chair. The hotel's open-air hot spring bath has a great view, facing the sea. The breakfast and dinner were very rich, and the staff also thoughtfully gave each of us a lunch box when we went out in the morning. I felt that the value of the room fee was reflected in the meals. The hotel will have a free shuttle bus at Izu Atagawa Station before 4 pm every day, every hour and 30 minutes, and every half hour, so you can easily get to the hotel if you calculate the time.

Perhaps it will be useful for someone to know more about the location of the hotel. I searched for options by filter for the city of Ito, but this hotel is not there at all. Nevertheless, I do not regret that I did not change my plans and came here. Izu no Ne and several neighboring hotels are located approximately in the middle between the onsen of Atagawa and Katase. You can get here both by local trains with transfers and by the comfortable express Odoriko. And if Ito, where I initially wanted to go, is a lively resort, then this is an excellent option for those who, on the contrary, want to get away from the city. Nearby, in Atagawa, there is a sandy beach where, depending on the season, you can swim. In September it was very warm, although there were decent waves. The Japanese-style room is clean, cozy and comfortable, and most importantly, spacious. The panoramic window overlooks the sea, and the windows face east — you won’t see sunsets anyway because of the mountains, but sunrises in all their glory are guaranteed. I can’t compare with other ryokans, but in terms of service, of course, everything is excellent. Be sure to book with meals — breakfast and kaiseki-style dinner are no less tempting and interesting a reason to come here than the hot springs.
By the way, about the springs: there are both public (men’s and women’s separately) and private baths, indoors and outdoors (also with a sea view). A private bath on the roof must be booked in advance at the reception (at no extra charge), and although I’ve been there a couple of times, it was more convenient to just go to the public one whenever you want. The baths are closed at night and during the day from ten to three for cleaning.
It seems that these onsen in general and the hotel in particular are not very popular, and few people come here, but it’s a shame! I would gladly come back here again.

大人こども総勢9名で宿泊しましたが、それでもスペースが余ってしまうほどとても広いお部屋でした。
調理器具や家電、さらには流しそうめんができる設備もあり、非日常を感じることができるとても素敵な宿でした。

This is a traditional Japanese hot spring inn; the facilities are a bit old, but that's not a big problem. The package includes one night's stay with two meals, with dinner being the highlight – the food is excellent and the ingredients are very fresh. The seafood is mostly from Izu, including golden wood carvings and lobster. The Wagyu beef is 5A Miyazaki-produced black Wagyu, but the quantity isn't large. The dinner menu changes every night. The Kurone Iwano Onsen is free for hotel guests; remember to pick up a towel on the first floor. There's only one convenience store near the hotel; it's limited and similar to a small shop in China, not like a 7-Eleven. Fishing is available around the hotel; those who enjoy sea fishing should bring their own rods.

This is the hot spring hotel I was most satisfied with during my trip to Izu. There is a 24-hour convenience store right at the door. The hotel shuttle bus is very convenient. I called the hotel as soon as I arrived at Atagawa Station. I saw the staff holding a sign when I got out of the station. It takes about 5 minutes to drive to the hotel. In fact, the hotel is just a little above the station, but it is still very troublesome to walk and you have to take a detour. The front desk was very welcoming, and there was a Japanese aunt who introduced the hotel's hot springs and restaurants along the way and sent us to the room. She also helped to introduce the room facilities, which gave people a very friendly feeling. During the meal, there was a young man with a ********* accent who served us, served the dishes and introduced them in detail. The meal included Atagawa's local specialties and golden eye seabream. Although the taste was a bit light and sweet, it was okay to try. After dinner, I went to experience the hot springs. There are several indoor and outdoor pools. The next morning, breakfast was very delicious, and I felt it was better than dinner. 😋 After checking out, I was sent to the station and caught the sea-viewing train Golden Eye Seabream.

Eagle LiOur overall stay here was a delightful surprise. Before booking, I was quite apprehensive after seeing a number of negative reviews online, which made me hesitant. However, once we checked in, I was truly amazed: the hotel boasts breathtaking, endless ocean views, and you wake up every morning to a stunning vista of the blue sea. The room itself was exceptionally spacious, more than enough for our family of three.
The hotel features natural hot springs, not just heated tap water. My daughter even noticed the salty taste, which confirms the authenticity of the spring water 😂. The owner is incredibly warm and friendly, and can even communicate in Chinese.
The only minor drawback is that some facilities are a bit dated, but for just 1,000 yuan a night, the value for money is outstanding.
If your main itinerary involves visiting Izu Omuroyama and seeing the hydrangeas at the zoo, and you won't be spending extended periods inside the hotel, this place is an excellent choice. The drive along the coast offers continuous scenic views; the atmosphere is unique and incredibly therapeutic. I genuinely recommend it.

My parents were very satisfied with their stay. They enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor hot springs, and we also had beer and Udon. The breakfast spread included plenty of vegetables too. Apart from the bad weather on the day we visited, everything else was fantastic. Absolutely great value for money!
