There was no lager sat and Sunday, apart from that it was good.

Hotel was clean, very modern inside and staff helpful. Never had any food but the dining area looked very nice and good decor as did the bar area. The King room was fine for an adult couple on a short stay. Nothing spectacular but still clean and modern and I thought reasonable for the price. Would definitely stay again in future.

Only stayed one night but the hotel is very nice.
Bar is great and the rooms are comfortable.
Restaurant was closed due the season (January) but there are plenty of dining options in short walking distance.

This is the first time I had stayed at the Colessio and a very nice hotel.
With the parked I was shocked that you have to pay extra for parking.
For paying already a high price for the hotel that parking would have been part of the price.

Very warm and very friendly hotel, the rooms are spacious and accommodating, staff couldn't be more helpful, limited parking which you need to pay for on arrival, but i was made aware of this beforehand so i was expecting it, would stay again

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay: friendly staff, comfortable bedroom with tea/coffee making and biscuits, and a great buffet breakfast in the morning. The buffet breakfast area is impressive with very comfortable chairs and they include tattie scones and black pudding - must haves for a Scottish breakfast. Great location for visiting the castle, distillery and the city centre. No problem paying for our parking, but thought the price was pretty steep, hence 4 stars, but would definitely visit again

Lovely room, great shower and big bath. Wonderful location. Staff, without exception, cheerful and efficient. Emma in particular was very helpful and gave an excellent restaurant recommendation ('Brea' - wonderful food, friendly staff). Despite additional cost, parking was easy.

The facade of this hotel and historic look promise something much grander than what’s inside. The reception/ bar area that greets you upon arrival is tainted with a very unfortunate odour. The room was dark and dismal and very peculiarly arranged. The carpet was threadbare and the electric heater on the wall vibrated every time someone walked by in the corridor or shut a door. Frankly if we had been staying more than one night we would have been down at reception demanding a better room but we couldn’t be bothered. We didn’t partake of breakfast as the smell put us off and we also thought £16:95 pp was a bit on the steep side. We had a lovely breakfast inn a nearby cafe in the morning for half the price. On-site parking was available for another £15:30 overnight. All in all very disappointing.
