Amazing

Excellent room and en suite, very clean and seemed fairly newly furnished/decorated. Had booked a twin queen bed as was only available at time of booking (didn’t need two beds) and they did automatically switch me for what I think was a king bed on arrival and it was a very spacious room. Minus a point for dinner at the hotel which is a bit of a let down. - The allergens listed on the menu at reception didn’t match the allergens listed on the menu in the restaurant, so despite pre deciding what to have, was a bit of a let down to find some dishes were no longer allergen free - Also had my starter and main arrive before my drink did, despite ordering at the same time (they did apologise, as they were busy) -dinner in the restaurant was over priced for what you get (no seasoning or flavour) Breakfast however was great and excellent quality for buffet style. I used the gym and although small, it was great for a short stay and a nice to have. All staff were super friendly

Stayed here on business… When entered the room it smelt heavy of smoke which was strange as non smoking hotel… Reception was very apologetic and changed us the room straight away…

The hotel is very close to Waterworld stoke on Trent, with its own parking lot free of charge. It will be very convenient to play in the water, just go to the waterworld and wash for two minutes. The staff at the counter was polite and gave me three fresh cookies for my food. The room is good, the TV is big enough, the downside is that the water power of the shower is too weak, there is no air-conditioning in the room but there is a fan provided. The breakfast is an ordinary English buffet. There are not many choices but enough food. Some cereals are individually packaged, which is more hygienic.

Lovely family stay with comfortable bed and freshly decorated facilities, we enjoyed the pool, sauna, steam room and the buffet breakfast. Book the leisure centre and breakfast slot ahead of your stay during school holidays by looking out for the email from the manager.

Hotel is nice however, no one told us you need to book facilities such as the swimming pool before you can use it. The only reason we booked this hotel was because it had a pool and we couldn’t make use of it as it was fully booked, wouldn’t take much to advise pre-booking before your stay. Parking isn’t complimentary - cost us £5, not a lot but not the point, and signs still say it is complimentary! Currently have another pending charge on card but hopefully it’s just a pre-authorisation that will disappear. We understand they were busy but overall disappointing and wouldn’t stay again

Room was lovely, bed extremely comfortable only downside, room was very cold caused by draft from window, heating on a timer so unable to turn it on, but was brought a portable heater up.

Broken blind was being fixed when we arrived, much to the confusion of the guy fixing it at the time. Had to go to the bar and wait for it to be fixed which was not a problem. When we then used the blind, it broke. Meaning it was stuck open for the stay. Towel rail was broken too, pillows flat, etc. no air con, despite unit on the wall. “They don’t have Air con at the Hilton, but there is a fan in the cupboard”. Service was lovely, lady behind the counter was lovely, everything looked nice and was clean enough.

A lovely pool! So warm! Quick food, big portions! Nice local ale beer in bar. And the staff were very sweet with our 4 year old daughter! A little annoying you still pay £5 for overnight parking but atleast it’s not the full sum of £15! Breakfast was well stocked up and staff always greeted us throughout with smiles and attention!

Check in was very slow, only one member of staff on the desk checking in despite it being a saturday pm and multiple staff floating round. Service wasnt great at check in, noted that the guests checking in infront of me had everything explained to them including facilities, where to acess lifts and timing for the restaurant even asked did they want to book the restaurant that evening.Originally given a room on the first floor, then changed to the 3rd floor. Sadly this was not a "bonus". The room given was right next to the doors to the lift and sadly when the doors were opened they would bang loudly on the bedroom door. This was very disturbing and extremely annoying. The level of noise in the hotel was horrendous. Breakfast options were very limited, no dairy free options except for a very small amount of soya milk. No gluten free options advertised. Very limited quantities and very slow at clearing and replenishing. Sadly the car park is a nightmare especially if you need an accessible space. I picked the wrong weekend to travel as there was a large wedding. Guests took over the hotel carpark and not the event space carpark. Children were running wild and messing in the lifts. Both staff and wedding guests didnt seem to care. Services are very limited, spa needs to be booked well in advance and the hotel wellness facilities seemed to be full of day visitors which wasnt great. Unable to access refreshments before 11am if you have not booked breakfast.

Comfy stay and excellent service. As a 4-star hotel, I was expecting the bathrooms to have some Bathroom Accessories like Shower Caps, Cotton Swabs, Cotton Pads, disposable cups, etc. For dinner, I ordered two fish and chips as the waiter said they were of a decent size, but they weren't. The fish was just half-sized, which was very disappointing. Breakfast was good but lacked items that a 4-star hotel normally has, like smoked salmon, cream cheese, non-dairy yogurts, cakes, and omelettes (not only scrambled eggs).

We were very impressed by the quality of the service and high standards of the cleanliness and furnishings. The room was spacious and the climate control system was very easy to use.

Our family had an excellent stay at the Doubletree Hilton in Stoke on Trent. The room is spacious and clean, with very nice decor. The rest of the hotel has a very nice ambience and staff are very professional and welcoming. Breakfast was a delight, with lots of choices, including every choice of item one would want for a full english breakfast, lots of cereal choices and wonderful coffee. Once again staff at breakfast were lovely and deserve accolade's for the way they sat families down, cleaned up and restocked any items that were running low, so always fresh. One notable action that I think is brilliant, was that upon booking I was sent an email notifying me of various things that I found important to know, especially that there would to be some Christmas parties on the night of our stay. I called up and I was informed that the hotel would be busier with functions, however I was offered a room on the 4th floor, which was well away from any festivities. We would not even have known that there were any parties, as it was perfectly quiet. There is also a very good indoor pool which the kids loved. In all we will be back and highly recommend this hotel.
