Property location is nice. Very old and smells of mildew. The pool is the size a jacuzzi, no seats around the baby splash pool. I had no hot water and the tv did not a connect. The free internet is null and void. Connectivity to the internet was poor for both new gets that I stay at Spice Palace. Heed this warning and stay elsewhere. The breakfast served each morning was horribly!

Very nice room with balcony. Big comfortable bed. Small cute swimming pool. Rooftop terrace for breakfast. Fun messages all over the hotel. There was a bit of noise from the neighborhood. The AC was strong but out of control. Location excellent. Overall very good experience

The stay is quickly recounted. It is indicated that the hotel has limited reception. Our flight having been postponed after 10 p.m., we asked about the possibility of welcoming us from July 7 by email and ********** and only received a response 4 days before our arrival (we were already traveling). So we had to book and pay for another hotel...

Excellent location in Stone Town. Very nice room. The dining was reasonably good, although at times just a bit slow. The staffing and service at the lobby coffee bar was very poor, with apparent staff disinterest -- this is the only aspect of this hotel which could use some more attention, Otherwise, highly recommended.

I had a truly amazing stay at this hotel.
The staff were so nice. The room was very big and had a comfortable bed. And the breakfast was very delicious. I would definitely stay here again.

We only went for dinner here having heard that the roof-top restaurant has a good view. In the end the view was really the best part of the evening. The food was fairly standard fare, really nothing special - piece of chicken, not specially spiced, rice and veg - and we had to wait for it. The staff were slow and unresponsive, and when it came to pay I had to pull them away from their chatter to give me the bill and then they were unable to take hard currency and I had to pay by card. Frankly, there are plenty of better options in Stone Town.
