In the first room that they put me in, the window could not close and there was no lock on it. Also, the air conditioner did not work with the temperature in the high twenties/loe thirties. On the second day, the moved me to a room where the shower did not work and the toilet seat was not bolted to the toilet. All in all, i would say it was backpacker accommodation at Holiday Inn prices. I have been traveling in Tanzania for 15 years, and have stayed in $5 and $10 rural hotels, so i am not a complainer, but this is probably the worst value for money that i have encounyered.

The location and view are great but the hotel is in desperate need of repairs, it is dirty and the breakfast is very poor

Very delapidated rooms! We had NO water pressure - I could not wash my hair! Mouldy, dirty, bedside lamp not working, no seaview as advertized or balcony as advertized even though we paid for such! Food was not bad but I would not recommend hotel! Staff very frriendlt

Aperitivo su una terrazza che si affaccia direttamente sul mare , consiglio di andare all'ora del tramonto , vista mozzafiato , pizza discreta per essere a Zanzibar , hotel molto carino cameriere simpatiche , prezzi europei , consiglio di pagare in scellini si risparmia , con l'euro arrotondano sempre

Alors, il a une très belle situation vue sur mer. C'est le restaurant référent des guides locaux. Nous étions avec le notre. On a prix deux plats locaux zanzibarites. Très bon mais quantité moyenne en fruits de mer. Par contre nous nous sommes faits arnaquer au taux de change pour payer. Et ça c'est très moyen

We had lunch here, but didn't stay at the hotel. Good food at a reasonable price, but the best part was the view. The restaurant is on the first floor, with views over the sea. We had pizza which was huge. I can eat, but this beat me and I ended up taking a few slices away in a box to have an hour or so later. To get to the restaurant, you'll have to walk through the hotel and ascend stairs. Keep you eyes open for the history of the building. The staff were attentive friendly and professional. Recommended.

Came here with a tour guide for lunch. As a result I wasn't expecting much. The view is incredible! Staff were attentive. The tour group chose a variety of dishes, steak, tandoori chicken, huge king prawns, pizza. I didn't have a huge appetite so went for a fresh fruit salad with vanilla ice cream. Food arrived when it was ready rather than all at once. Everyone was impressed and it wasn't expensive.

Great place for dinner on a rooftop. Really enjoyed the food, service and views while in Stonetown. Would stay there in the future. Prices and good variety were a welcome change and I thought the staff was very attentive. Hotel seemed to have an interesting history.

Ok, very expensive for the experience. Sea view rooms are extremely noisy.
