Great location just across the road to the rsc theatres and right near the river restaurants and bars.hotel restaurant really good ,bed was so comfortable and really helpful on reception.

An absolutely perfect stay. The hotel is situated in an idyllic position with the RSC Theatre directly opposite on the banks of the Avon. What really made the trip was the incredible colleagues of the hotel who were so accommodating throughout. We loved our stay. Thank you so much.

Superlative service & accommodation. I’ve stayed in several quality hotels in Stratford but this one is by far the best. Despite being relatively large, it has a boutique style, and very attentive, smiley staff. Our superior room was excellent, with a view to the RSC, huge windows, huge bed, huge space & sumptuous decor. Luxe toiletries too* We ordered room service snacks after the theatre, & enjoyed on the heated terrace. We skipped breakfast as we were meeting friends for lunch later at the Hotel’s no.44 brasserie (also excellent), but it looked great, in a beautiful environment, or even on the sunny terrace. Everything was perfect, even a little compliment about my jewellery & outfit from the receptionist as I checked out was a personal touch that makes a difference. *A small thing - there was no body lotion in the room so I had to use my hand cream. Hopefully resolved for our next visit. We’ll definitely be back.

Lovely hotel although a bit of a refurb would help - chipped bath enamel in a premier room. Reception staff were great. Bar is a bit odd in that it’s in the dining room down some stairs but the drinks need taking upstairs. The barman was very odd when we visited - telling us about his sister flying in to Gatwick with no prompting whatsoever, I wanted to talk about the gin selection! We did enjoy the stay, and the hotel is beautifully situated but we felt let down by the breakfast service. We dined at 9am each day, and each day there were many tables left uncleared limiting the choice of where to sit, and where we did we needed to ask each day for various things to be brought. Service was slow and off hand. Food was ok, although the continental choice was a little uninspiring. And although breakfast was scheduled for well after 9am when we asked for the pastries basket to be filled up we were told there were no more. My husband asked for scrambled egg on toast but was told he needed to get his own toast. This resulted in either the toast or the scrambled eggs being colder than ideal. No toast was offered with coffee either - again the expectation is to get your own. I really feel that at £280 per night toast should be brought with the cooked options…! Overall good stay let down by breakfast.

Over the years, we have stayed in just about every part of Stratford but we will be using this wonderful hotel from now on. From start to finish we had a fantastic time there and it is a place that has an awful lot going for it. The location is perfect. A stones through from the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and 10 seconds you are out on the main street and in amongst all the action. The nice thing is that that the hotel is set in lovely grounds and you can also get away from the noise and be in a peaceful area at the back in no time. The parking is free which is a massive plus in this town but you need to make sure you get the right car park. My advice would be to pull in at the front of the hotel, drop your bags off and ask them for directions to the parking. The hotel itself is a bit of a maze but you get used to it in the end. We were in the Birch room which was very comfortable and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. It was a hot weekend so the air-conditioning which every room has was more than welcome. The bed was comfortable, The bathroom and everything you needed including the bath and the little touches around the room made you feel very much at home. The staff are superb. Reception had listened to our room request, we were too early to check in but they put our luggage in our room so it was ready for when we got back And they just couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast was included and was absolutely fabulous top class produce cooked beautifully and it just rounded our stay off perfectly. Highly recommended!
